You were supposed to.
Funny how ABSOLUTELY NOBODY ever said anything like this about Toph until now. And I'm fairly certain absolutely nobody disliked Toph to any major degree (in TLA, Korra might be a different story). A very powerful little girl with a severe physical hindrance, but also somehow obtaining the Daredevil sense (exclusively through the earth). The series not only went out of its way to make sure she had her limits and weaknesses despite her amazing control over earth, everyone treated her as an equal to the point that they forget she's blind, such that most of the "blind jokes" are literally just her reminding them of that fact. Her greatest weaknesses? Twinkle-toed Airbenders, flying objects, and SAND (part of her own fucking element!). She had an endearing snarkiness to her, barriers to overcome (that weren't buzzword politics), and goals to reach.
She's what we call a WELL-WRITTEN CHARACTER.
Same could be said of their art talent too. It's fucking creepy how amazingly detailed they can be, that it puts most artists to shame. And it's just too bad that what they make is absolutely outside of my comfort zone.
And this is happening to women in America right now IF THEY'RE LUCKY. They might be catcalled, they might be mansplained to by their bosses. Or just plain murdered. For being a woman.
... Sorry, hard to keep a straight face typing this bullshit.
I've said this before- Nihon Falcom can MAKE their 60 hour RPGs faster than NISA can localize them. Their Zero localization, last I knew, isn't getting English voices. What the fuck is taking them so long with Zero if script translation is all they're doing?
