Isn't the 2-spirit shit originally from native Indians or something? That would make it technically cultural appropriation, right? Therefor it must be cancelled.

People who use hospitalizations count make me really laugh. They see number and panic, but can't put them in relation with other numbers. Just an example, in Canada we had about 45000 covid hospitalizations this year, however there was 3 millions hospitalizations in total (so covid is 1.5%). With 45k, covid was #9. You're telling me that we can handle 3 millions every year easily, but 45k more is just making the whole system crash?

Oh, and that's using their own inflated covid numbers: https://en-volve.com/2021/09/28/canadas-chief-health-officer-admits-to-faking-covid-numbers-were-counting-all-sick-people-who-decline-covid-tests-as-covid-positive/

Honestly, just a matter of time until they find the correct way to market this to people, tell them why they "need" it, and then the people will blindly buy into, or else be peer-pressured into.

However, there's one big thing they would need to fix first. It has to be so easy to use a literal dumbass can use it. Right now, VR is still pretty finicky, it requires quite a lot of space and some setup, and even ingame, you need to actually move your arm around to do stuff, while normally it would just be a quick button press. Remember the Kinect? This shit failed simply because raising your arm for 3 seconds every time you need to validate an action is simply boring and tiring, and humans are just very lazy. It's just a matter of time until we find the correct way to do it though.

VR, with a headset covering your entire head and eyes, is the perfect innocent tool to do very nasty stuff like mind reading and eye tracking (for more ads and such). I have no doubt than in maybe 10-20 years, we will be able to read someone's mind with just a headset that you put on your head because you want to interact with your family. There's no way FB or others are going to miss such an opportunity. And companies are getting exceptionally good at selling product and make people think they need said product.

I personally never understood why they are called "races" to begin with. Like it they had minor differences between them, alright I guess, but we're talking about like, humans, elves, dwarves, lizardmen and such, they have almost nothing in common lol.

and found that the most commonly reported symptoms were cough, fatigue and congestion or a runny nose.

Oh my God the absolute horror. A RUNNY NOSE. Can people board up their houses already and cover each windows with 5 layers of plastic and insulation? I'm sorry but if you're just vaccinated and nothing more, that's not enough for me. Also viruses like warmth, so make sure your house is as cold as possible, even if it means you'll have to wear your coat at all times. We're all in this together!

Funny, their main argument against unvaxxed was "But think of the allergic people who can't get vaccinated, you're putting them at risk!". Surprise surprise, they don't really care about those people actually.

"In the face of a "very concerning" rise in infections over the past two weeks"

"97 new cases, 2 deaths".

Ah yes, once again, completely appropriate and proportionate measures compared to the actual danger.

"Moncton Hospital outbreaks grow to include 37 people", but what they don't say: "Moncton Hospital number of beds: 381"

I used to be a rather big fan of speedrunning, have been following GDQ for like 8 years. My interest drops considerably about 3 or 4 years ago, when trans started to really get into it, and the whole thing just went full "pride" (very funny, considering politics aren't allowed by their own rules, but this is the only exception tolerated, and actually praised). However people just take it all, because they are desperate for any "women" taking interest into speedrunning too, so even if that's a trans, everyone will just reward them to make sure they stick around.

Out of the 5 female Tetris players that I know, 4 of them are trans. I'd say about 90% of all female speedrunners are trans in general, maybe even more. And of course, they take the place of a normally much better player, but you know, that much better player is a boring straight white man, so he's not in the spot.

As usual, something that used to be a really nice and cozy niche, and one of the best community I've ever seen, went complete garbage.

I believe it's no longer recommended for adults to take a Tetanus booster every 10 years now. It's only for children or old people (one booster at 50 years old, but that's it).

Noctuner 7 points ago +7 / -0

You can't win them. Don't bother trying. Even their examples of previous games show why you can't win:

"The Last of Us Part 2 faced controversy for its deadnaming and general excessive violence towards its trans teen character Lev"

So basically, if you have a trans in your game, it can't be the target of any violence what-so-ever. That character doesn't even suffer that much in the game compared to the others. I mean, hello?! His own sister has her arm smashed into pieces from a hammer, that results in hours of pain, screaming every second, and have to cut it cause it's just unrecoverable. Lev just gets slapped once or twice here and there. Sure, he's the one who suffered the most...

"the problem stemmed from its two voice selection options; if the player chose the feminine voice, V would be referred to as a female throughout the game, and if they chose the masculine, referred to as male. Among nonbinary and trans people, making assumptions based on voice tones often leads to misgendering."

Imagine having to voice hundred thousands of words, and then doing that multiples times for every possible pronuns in existence. All that, for 0.1% of the population that are just Twitter addict. Sounds like money well spent to me.

Starfield is going to make one tiny mistake somewhere, and all that "good will" will go back against them.

Same stuff is spreading in French too. "Operateur" would refer to male operator, "Operatrice" would refer to a female one, so now, to be "inclusive", we have to write "Operateur.trice" (and yes, you have to put the period in-between, making it just annoying to read when you have 10 per sentences). And again, that's just for male/female, I can't wait for them to introduce brand new "non-binary" denomination too. Normally, the male version was always considered the neutral version, but obviously, that was just "toxic patriarchy".

They are also making new pronuns up, like "iel" which is a mix of "il" (male pronun) and "elle" (female).

Not really. Highly contagious viruses like smallpox could still travel on the entire Earth pretty easily, I mean yeah ok it takes weeks instead of days, but in the end it doesn't change anything once it's there, you're just delaying the inevitable. I believe almost all civilizations had the flu or similar virus, as long as they did any commerce with any other society. Our hygiene and quality of life is magnitudes higher than any other point in human history, that alone has been the real savior.

"We are sorry you took it that way" Ah yes, the classic "We're sorry but actually not really because it's your fault". PR at its best.

Noctuner 8 points ago +8 / -0

The amount of people that are like "It's ok, we still have high numbers of covid even though 90% is vaccinated, but don't worry, the booster will fix that and everything will return to normal this time!"...

How can you not stop for a second and realize the problem just right here?

I believe blacks still have one of the lowest vaccination rate in the US. It's racist to demand ID to vote, but it's not when you ask for vaxx-pass to go to the supermarket (even if, by simple logic, it's actually negatively affecting blacks a lot more).

Also, imagine injecting 240 shots per 100 person in average. That's kinda fucked up.

  1. Don't even respect the 6 ft rules between themselves.
  2. Don't even wear the mask correctly and keep touching it with hands every 10 seconds.
  3. Try to touch and grab the guy constantly.
  4. If the cops hadn't showed up, the guy would have stayed alone in the room calmly with his wife, probably contaminating absolutely no one even if he was positive.

But right, this is "about our safety" alright. No one cares about the safety protocol they imposed themselves, not even them, but they also feel no shame throwing a father out (with the wife crying in the same fucking room) of the hospital because of a covid test, that was proven to not work, and that even the CDC doesn't recommend anymore.

It's pretty hilarious. There's a lot of "Well we didn't know we would need a booster every 6 months, the science is changing because of new informations we're receiving". Yes, this is exactly what we've been telling you since day one. We should not force people to take something when we don't even know how long it will last, or if the immunity it's supposed to give is indeed an immunity (and not just a weak ass "protection").

Also what happened to "The Science™ is settled" then? I thought it was clear the vaccine was "Safe and Effective"? You mean it's actually not that effective?

Noctuner 15 points ago +15 / -0

Don't worry, it's all fine. He said "suspends judgement for 6 months" in June, so there's a whole month before we can think again! It got worse every 2 weeks for the past 20 months, but I'm sure this time, all will finally be fixed!

Ok, as usual with woke-stuff, it doesn't make any sense... but if the point of being trans is to go from one gender to the other, why is "They" a thing they would pick anyway? Wouldn't they choose the opposite gender (which they could already do in almost any game ever made with creator creation)? Similarly, why is adding "They" to the list of pronouns supporting "Trans-rights"? What, only trans-people can use "They" now?

Noctuner 10 points ago +10 / -0

That's the main problem with wokeness. You can play their games, but you can't win. "The only winning move is not to play."

Imagine a married woman screaming and crying like this because a website asked her for her last name at birth, or because she forgot to update one of her account. Everyone would think she's just insane and just be like "Just change your fucking name on the account".

If, according to them, everyone who ends up in the hospital is because of covid (because apparently all the other sickness disappeared in the last 20 months), then why do you care if the nurse is vaccinated or not? Everyone already has covid, it's not like you can catch it twice at the same time. At worse, the nurse will take a few days off, then come back fully immuned.

I don't get how it's hard. A simple compromise is to let unvaccinated nurses take care of non-covid patients. There, problem solved. Contact with covid is limited, but everyone can still work full-time. If the covid still spread inside an hospital, that's because hygiene measures are not well implemented, and shows a greater problem, cause it means many other viruses/bacterias are spreading too from patient to patient.

Make no mistake, the shortages of nurses, personal support workers and others in the health system are real. But those problems existed before COVID-19 and they will persist after the pandemic.

So why make the problem even worse? How is that showing any respect to health workers? If I was an overworked nurse, I'd be fucking pissed by a message like this, this guy just doesn't give a fuck about them.

But are people who don’t believe in vaccination really fit to be health workers in the first place?

How the fuck do you "Believe in vaccination". Anyone who uses the word "believe" with something scientific just has no idea what they are talking about, and is instead turning it into some weird cult. Nevermind that those nurses, minus covid, have all their vaccinations up tp date.

Ah yes, that "White Fragility" book. A book written by someone who thought "I don't like being with black, it must be because of my skin color, therefor all people sharing my skin color are also racist", actually managing the incredible feat of being racist toward everyone, including her own, each in a different way.

The company has donated $21.5 million to causes working to enhance racial justice

Wow, so generous! Wonder where that money went. Maybe they bought a 5th house for BLM leaders?

In 2020, AT&T’s operating revenue worldwide was close to 172 billion U.S. dollars

Oh... Literally the equivalent of someone losing their spare change in the sofa. They make 21 millions every hour in average.

Noctuner 8 points ago +8 / -0

Is this supposed to make me trust the woke crowd? Gets inside a house without parents being here, nor the kid wanting her anyway. Makes threat to kids, then make some other simply disappear without any concern. Yep, totally trust them now, not creepy at all.

Yes, the ones who survive male violence live longer than men because double X chromosomes confer stronger immune systems.

Wait, what? Are you implying that literally every woman either "survive" or die from male violence? You're going to need some hard evidences to convince me of such thing. I'm waiting.

A woman being murdered by a man every six hours in this country is absolutely a crisis of women's safety.

80% of all victims from murders are men. A man is 4x more likely to die from murder than a woman. So yeah, if this is a "women crisis", I wonder what's a "men crisis" then. https://www.statista.com/statistics/251877/murder-victims-in-the-us-by-race-ethnicity-and-gender/

based upon your disdain for women

Ah yeah, cause sharing facts is indeed "disdain for women". Like, you don't know me, don't even know if I'm male or female, don't know where I'm from, but clearly, because I dared challenge your numbers, I must hate women, no other option possible.

but don't delude yourself into thinking you're One of The Good Guys

Are you? I don't see you doing much for women to be honest. Talking on a random internet forum won't stop those murders you keep talking about.

while supporting not just violence against women but the murders of women.

Tell me where in my messages did I approve of any violence or murders of any kind.

5
Noctuner 5 points ago +6 / -1

In almost every country in the entire world, women have longer life expectancy than men.

If women being less numbered than men for the first time ever is a "femicide crisis", then we've had a "menicide" crisis for the past thousand years, since men were always less numbered before. Yet no one ever really cares about that, right?

Unless the murders gets to #1 death cause, it's likely not a cause at all as to why there are less females than before anyway. Natural causes / sickness are still the top cases for deaths, nothing we can really do about that except wait for better medicine tech.

https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/People/Sex-ratio/Total-population Check all the developed countries, they all have more women than men. The countries that have more men than women (like China) have many more serious/important problems.

"In the US a woman is murdered by a man, usually, an intimate partner, every six hours."

That's about 1460 women per year. There are 3 millions death per year in the US (so 1.5 million women). Saying those 1460 deaths per year is enough to justify a "femicide crisis" is just plain stupid. Imagine you have a million dollars, then claim you're "basically a homeless" because you lost a thousand. You have to put numbers in perspective.
