Unless the murders gets to #1 death cause, it's likely not a cause at all as to why there are less females than before anyway. Natural causes / sickness are still the top cases for deaths, nothing we can really do about that except wait for better medicine tech.

That would be part of it, but the region where there are more males than females extends further than the region with unnaturally high birth sex ratios. In either case, Vagrant is out of line for suggesting that the United States has anything to do with this when they're still on the more-females-than-males side of the line.
