I think putting retaliation and harsh criticism in the same context muddies the water a lot. I don't fear retards yelling at me and it wouldn't change me expressing myself, but retaliation can range from calls to your place of work to get you fired to outright assault or worse.
FtM fare a lot better than MtF when it comes to everything but genitalia. It's a lot easier to add masculine features than to subtract them. I definitely would have guessed gay male based on the voice. I bet it would be a lot easier to pick out in person though, she's probably tiny with narrow shoulders and small hands.
I hope for the best, but I just have zero faith in the spines of Republican politicians. I expect either capitulation or some sort of "compromise" that, as always, results in the left getting what they want only marginally slower.

Speaking eloquently does give you an intellectual high ground. It just isn't the only high ground available, sometimes you can win arguments with the absolutely trashiest English ever just by making jokes such that the audience find your opponent stuffy in comparison, as well as many other rhetorical options.
Let's also not pretend that debate tactics, dishonest or otherwise, are only by men either, being that she immediately utilized the assumed sisterhood cliche in her second post.
I really enjoy repeating the mostly joking ones about various European countries, such as how Belgium doesn't exist, and the Finns are just Mongols.
As an American with no ties to anywhere else, it's mostly just to wind people up.
