This blog post gives a great explanation in my opinion, using gentrification of a neighborhood as a metaphor for what happened to geek/nerd culture.

These olympics are going to be embarrassing for America.

retellings

They can't even recommend any of the original texts. Almost like they know if someone were to read that before watching this latest social experiment they would realize just how shite this new stuff is in comparison.

Personally I recommend The Once and Future King by T.H. White, and then the classic Le Morte d'Arthur, which it is based off if you want the classic prose.

despite usually having much worse academic scores

I actually had a thought that that was the real reason. If you can get the actual high performing demographics reduced, than your group won't look as bad for failing.

Well, asian societies are generally much more about being a part of and serving the greater whole than individuals, so I figure it would come down to how "westernized" each individual is.

Could be pressure from his daughter, happens kind of often. So more like emotional blackmail, like that one author whose daughter went to college then threatened to never speak to him again if he didn't bend the knee.

Booster shots for the experimental "vaccines" that haven't even been in circulation for more than a year?

Yup, I hate those kiddy "haha these mild inconveniences are just so awful, right guys?" If you actually don't like someone, say some real shit like "I hope you break both your legs, becoming crippled and a permanent burden on your friends and family". Maybe don't start with that, but also don't be jokey when talking about something you want people to care about.

That's not even a joke, even in America there are people who think the black population is 25% or more.

“Why would we want to mess around with just temporary stuff?” she said. “We don’t need to encourage people to just go halfway with curing this disease. Let’s get it done. And we know what it takes to get it done.”

Except by all accounts the "vaccines" are only partially effective at best, and ignores how even if they were perfect they would still probably become an annual thing like the flu vaccine. That's not a cure.

In The Batman with Robert Pattinson (which is a different continuity), Commissioner Gordon will be black. Inching closer and closer to the core characters they really want. For Superman I would expect Lois to be next, they already got Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor. Within the decade we will have a swapped Batman or Superman, with normies finally learning about multiverses they'll have all the excuse they need.

Mate, I'm annoyed by the low effort racism and jew paranoia too, but making petty memes won't win much sympathy.

I can believe a little bit that this dude is getting it harder than a white person would in the same situation, not because people are racist, but because they recognize him getting special treatment by the media because of his race. A white driver wouldn't get the attention or social clout just because of their race. So of course at least some of them will point that out, and bad faith actors will claim that it's racist to acknowledge that.

I wanted to like the movie, because I thought the sets, costumes and aesthetics were so cool, but then the story was just bad. I honestly don't know what they were thinking with the gay guy, it was so unnecessary for the plot. Ignoring how he had no reason to think the the younger guy was gay, the sudden overt racism to the hard working innocent black woman made it cartoonish, almost like they realized the audience might think his reaction to an older man touching his inner thigh and essentially propositioning him, from his perspective out of nowhere, was entirely appropriate. Same with the antagonist character trying to sexually assault the protagonist, it was like they realized he was almost entirely justified in all his actions so they had to give him some unsavory traits.

The ridiculously lax security for what would be the find of the century (especially since this is set during the freaking Cold War) was just constantly irritating.

It just kept getting worse. It's ostensibly a kids movie, yet every (horrifically cringy) reference is either to a 20+ year old film or is something the intended audience shouldn't be watching. Really, the Rick and Morty inclusion broke me, my mouth was actually hanging open. Animation looks cheap.

This just reminds me if all those ridiculous old timey doctors talking about hysteria and miasma.

Also really sounds like this dude was abused and/or has some kinky fetishes that he's trying to turn into some form of enlightened understanding of sexuality. It would be sad if it weren't so malicious.

Other women alleged they had been propositioned or sexually assaulted by co-workers or managers, and nothing was done.

So hitting on someone (who knows what "propositioned" means here, it could be anything from "hey baby wanna suck my dick" to "would you like to get lunch sometime?") is equivalent to sexual assault.

That's why it is key, she said, to have corporate governance measures in place. It means "you have got the right structures so that you can intervene at the right points in time before decisions are made and move along too quickly and you can't go back".

And there's the actual way they want to enter and control. HR hiring friends and like minded people into non-creative positions of power.

I wonder how often she does things any of the twelve men don't like, but they don't complain because A. she's a woman and B. they already know nobody cares if they don't like something.

according to USA Today, AP and FactCheck.org

Pretty obvious evidence how news sites aren't about presenting facts but deciding and pushing a specific narrative. Same as when the election was "called" because a bunch of the same news sites said so. Literally no govt body or anything needed, just saying "Biden won, according to USA Today, AP etc.".

While it's true they don't shy away from "offensive" or inappropriate jokes, I always thought they were pretty normie tier when it comes to their understanding of social justice topics. Like they probably believe in the wage gap and various other "systemic inequalities" touted by activists. Especially with how hard it's been pushed in the movie industry I'm not surprised if it's starting to affect them more.

Also I shudder to think what sort of horrific results they got as "pioneers" of that butchery.

The way she chooses to live her personal life harms you in no way!

Except for all the potential negative consequences if I don't agree with and support those "personal choices", one of which she is literally engaging in right now. The Republican party is just a bad joke.
