From my understanding, the builds are shoe horning the player into two subsets of each class. It doesn’t allow the player the freedom to choose. Just holds your hand and gives you two choices.
Also I hear there are absurd micro transactions in the game. They already charged $70 for the game and expect people to pony up more?
D3 certainly had problems when it was released. I revisited that game years later and they had mostly fixed the issues and I enjoyed the game.
I’m not holding out the same confidence for D4.
There have been 3rd parties that pop up from time to time. The reform party back in the 90’s was the most recent one I can think of. (Ross Perot).
The problem is they typically have no momentum and burn out since they are populist in nature. It’s hard to go against the two machines that are the Democrats and Republicans.
Liberals will codify a single event into law so long as it supports their agenda. (Shepard, Saint Fentanyl, a single abortion clinic being attacked decades ago)
But they will ignore widespread statistics because it runs counter to their narrative. (13/50, grooming, etc)
What should happen is a cease fire is announced and Ukraine concedes the two eastern most states plus crimea.
What will happen is that as long as the US pisses money into Ukraine, Zelensky will continue sending the population into the meat grinder.

To piggy back on a few of your points. Even if the game wasn’t woke, it still dropped the ball on gameplay. SN1 was filled with spectacular areas that were both terrifying and awe inspiring. It was almost entirely underwater with the exception of the crashed ship and the one or two small islands. SN2 had mostly forgettable areas and biomes. Nothing truly terrifying. A lot was spent on land, so much so that vehicles were tailored around it.
My biggest disappointment was the lack of the submarine. It was an excellent feature in SN1 that served as a mobile base complete with a hanger. And it was still susceptible to attack by the big baddies. In SN2 it was replaced by a more compact train thing. It just didn’t feel as amazing as the sub. Plus, as you alluded to, the map is smaller and the sub wouldn’t even fit.
Overall it was a poor follow up gameplay wise which was ruined even more by the lesbian strong black wahman.
