~>Random comment on video of YouTuber talking about AssCreed Yasuke controversy

~>Mentions that TV station aired variety show (could mean anything) that referred to Yasuke with the samurai title.

~>Does not mention the name of the station

Could just be an NHK subsidiary and I wouldn't be surprised, but no additional context aside from "variety show" and "has angered the Japanese previously" is given. Hell, it could be a foreign network station.

They've propagated that bullshit enough that the JMDICT data marks the Japanese term for it as "femboy" now, and includes references to "gender expression". So any online JP-ENG dictionary using it as a source is going to use their twisted terminology

Surely such an evil cunt as Schwab has warehouse-sized closets full of skeletons. Find something more edgy than. ''Oh no, someone made an osée joke or comment. Stop the fucking press a woman was offended.''

There's multiple reasons for this. First, they have to keep up the meme of removing men from positions of power for innocuous shit/hearsay and replace him with a woman. More females in power for female supremacy while also equating spoken word as evidence in the court of public opinion

Second, this was probably the only thing they could find without resulting in collateral damage. If they had found something towards sexual favors or assault, it might have knocked a bunch of other heads into the dirt as well. They have to Ship of Theseus the people in the seats of power to maintain the structure, not burn sections of it (as much as we'd want them to do that)

DoM going full AOU wouldn't be surprising (AOU being poal's batshit-crazy site owner, anyone slightly off-brand or who pushed back against him was labeled a kike or a nigger, banned people on a whim)

But we've been getting some forum sliding, and new handshakes trying to fedpost or laying low to window push at a later time, in a major US election year, it's probably driving him more nuts, so he's whacking invisible moles.

All he did was note what some asshole anon reported the comment for and then kept the comment in this instance. Calm your tits.

Oh, it's well into the series, I mean in terms of popularity or interest. It's Takahashi, they'll publish her regardless.

But the fact that we're about 5-6 years into it's serialization, still no anime announcement while having these remakes, tells me the studios aren't taking a chance on it.

Yes.

I distinctly remember ten years ago, after it had gained serious traction, my Asian Music Studies teacher said Kpop was getting more critical praise because it focused on adult sexuality (read: like Western pop, "maturity") as opposed to JPop (the Japanese "obsession with / focus on youth"). I took her word for it even though I never wanted to confirm it.

I guess MAO (Takahashi-sensei's latest work) is doing so poorly that they're not even going to bother animating it. Just remake Urusei Yatsura, remake Ranma 1/2, make an Inuyasha sequel, all these things no one asked for.

People are still expecting old farts to fix what they themselves broke or spent a whole lifetime not fixing. It's amazing.

It's true when you flood nations with different peoples akin to the fall of Babylon. There's no assimilation to a central culture so it's like oil in water. But your implication of people being unable adapt to another culture is just ignorant of human evolution and history (non-normies are capable). In the US, we had means to control the flow and force assimilation, it's just all the natural barriers are gone and the whole is now spoiled. Going back is now incredibly difficult. Divide and conquer can still apply to shattering a nation's monoculture that originally had people coming together for a common ideal.

I don't know why you're wasting your energy on a single-issue poster whose position hasn't budged since joining. Yes, the tolerance window on this forum has shifted, but you're making yourself look foolish.

It started with attempts at music censorship in the 80s (instigated by wives of Congressmen from both parties and other influences inside the Beltway) then drifted to vidya games when they became more prevalent in entertainment culture. At that point it was more one side pushing it.

I wonder what the history behind the pull-out was. Legislative or just too far behind Visa/MC to make it worthwhile.

I've been trying to piece together a timeline, but the closest piece of Federal legislation passed before closing all consumer CC accounts was the FOSTA-SESTA bill but it could be unrelated. As for the "halt issuing new cards", no clue still.

This will keep happening to Japanese sites selling adult content until MC/Visa are defacto banned from all of them. Again, this started with MC/Visa utilizing US federal law as an excuse, threatening to pull out of places like Pixiv, now the threats seem to be happening in private or sites are blocking use on their own.

The modified Latin the Church developed was probably because they had found certain syllables and inflections were able to ease the mind or "soul" of those raised in certain European cultures (that being several of the languages are rooted in Latin). So if someone is spazzing out, the priest can come in and "exorcise a demon" to get them to stop. If it has the ability to help calm the spirit or mind, then it should be kept.

Other cultures manage to perform similar with their specific texts/inflections. Maybe there's a psychological aspect to language that humans evolved with that allows this to work

Afro-Mexican

The implication being the Africans that NGOs import to South/Central America and traffick up to the US to border jump are now Mexican?

Fitting we're getting a tenth film as we're coming up quick on an full decade (10 years) since Disney announced the retcon of all the EU and stated that only the Lucas-made films and their new trash going forward were canon. The disrespect to all the authors and contributors prior was mind-numbing.

It took some time to get accustom to the thought, but I stopped consuming Star Wars soon after. I was finding other hobbies and was shifting completely towards anime/manga around that time, so it was time to branch swing anyway.

It doesn't help that Lasseter's first production with Skydance struggled (it assumingly was a lackluster/bad movie), so the idiots that believe the MeToo shit wholesale are now claiming that he had little to do with Pixar's success.

I'm a fan of KanColle and AzurLane and have played both games, but whenever the Manjuu CEO and her "genius" is brought up, I will always make the point:

"AzurLane owes it's existence to Kancolle's initial popularity"

If DMM/Kadokawa weren't assholes by leaving money on the table, as well as if jellyroll Tanaka and the team weren't adverse to US/foreign ships, KanColle could have been a farther reaching, long-term success. Not taking advantage of it nearly unseating Touhou's popularity in Japanese weebspace was a big financial mistake. Granted, leaving things niche is what has allowed it to retain some of it's appeal, and it hadn't really reached that deep into Western weeb circles, arguably sparing it from the bullshit flung at AL. However, as of now, the devs keep making each subsequent event harder for the lulz and ruining the game.

All that was required of AL was taking KC's concept and making it sexier to appeal to coomers while making a fuckton of non-Japanese ships missing from KC. Anyone with some resources (In this case, the Chinese/Hong Kongers) could have done this, but I've run across cultish fans who won't admit it. The irony is that there's more concentrated fanart from KC fans, whereas for AL fans there's maybe 10% of characters that are still popular while a bunch are "girl of the month" and most disappear, being forgotten. And the designs have gotten so out of hand, you can't really pick more than 5 decent girls without asking "is this actually a ship?", ignoring the ship rigging

As the days go by, I'm waiting for him and similar other members to start espousing that "the Founders were wrong", if some haven't already. I've been seeing an increasing number of "conservatives"/traditionalists going down that dark path these past few years.

large number of trash tourists is giving some people a wake up call too

I believe Kishida-deku agreeing to lower the bar for entry for ToUrIsM was an attempt by the NGOs/subversives/US State Dept to try and normalize foreigners being present in the country. Too bad for the globalists that gutter trash bring their bullshit with them and it's likely going to blow up in their face.

I believe the way to utterly destroy that argument (loli/sho leads to pedophilia) would have to be done scientifically, a psychological experiment that tests the reactions of both convicted child sex offenders and loli/shotacons with various materials, fictional depictions and CSAM/CP. I theorize that most of the pedos would not even touch the fictional material and most of the loli/shos would be repulsed by the CSAM (There's always going to be overlap and outliers when dealing with the mind).

The problem is such an experiment is most likely illegal (though John Money got away with his shit), would probably mess up some of the test subjects and the results subject to relativism. Also the science field is so compromised it would just result it the subjects' identities being leaked, so it can't be conducted in the current environment.
