I find 16-bit sprites age much better than 8bit and 64-bit (especially the early 3D polygons).
This is the exact reason the Metal Slug series still looks as amazing as it does.
Lower Decks was surprisingly fun. Hated the first two episodes--which is where the trailer got all its footage from--but it really picked up after that.
I only saw through the end of season 3, though.

I recently saw Gunbuster for the very first time.
You want a strong female character done right? There you go.
All the character development you need in six episodes.
That final scene, man...
Weird how I first found Asmongold because of Holocure, and it turned out he's largely on our side.
Who knew?
Plauche had more guts and balls than anyone here.
So remember:
Your enemy trained today.
Did you?
And then there's Samurai Pizza Cats, which was reportedly never even given a script to translate (and this is referenced in the new opening and ending themes), so a whole new script was written from scratch to match the visuals...and somehow, some way, it wound up so entertaining that it's still loved to this day.
You could do that with 999 other series and it would fail every time.
Lightning in a bottle. Could never happen again--certainly not now.
Not to mention introducing alien species that we never see again after this, such as the Suliban and Xyrillians.
I'll give it credit for actually giving a satisfactory answer to the Klingon Forehead Problem near the end, though, as well as my favorite Mirror Universe episodes of the entire franchise, "In a Mirror, Darkly" parts 1 and 2.
The DBZ dub actually improved one pivotal scene so much that I was disappointed when DBZ Kai revealed the real lines.
Mr. Satan takes it upon himself to fight Kid Buu directly, and in the original dub, this was an act of massive bravery, one that really made me respect the character more.
Then DBZ Kai revealed that, in truth, he thought it was all a dream, and his life wasn't really in danger. Thus greatly diminishing the moment.
Yeah, it's more accurate, and what the author intended...but that's less awesome.
HOWEVER. That is a rare, rare exception. Most changes suck, especially now.
Or sleeping around.
Cristina Vee is only 36. No way she got there with just skill. Too many new skilled actors have been passed over.
I bought Super Meat Boy: Ultra Edition at the store around 2012.
When I put the disc into my PC...cue a Steam installer.
There was no game on the fucking disc! They put all that effort into that box, the manual, and the comic it contained, but never put the actual GAME in there!
It made me sign up for Steam, and THAT'S when it let me download the damn game.
And that's how I first got Steam. I kid you not.
I know it's Chinese, but I just can't hate Genshin Impact, because it still understands the importance of BEAUTY.
I get why many here don't want to play it--and I don't play it either. But the character designs are marvelous.
They drew Bobby as having lost the weight?
Fatphobes.

I think One Piece fans would like a word with you about the 4kids dub and it not being outright malicious in terms of what they did to it. Which was a decade prior itself.
Okay, I forgot about that one.
I blame the FCC and focus groups more than the writers, though. The Ocean and Funimation dubs of DBZ had censorship due to those, according to those that worked on them, especially the former--"the next dimension" and all that crap.
Products of their time. At least they got them out there. If not for the DIC/Cloverway dub of Sailor Moon, I never would have gotten into anime as a whole, but I freely admit the Viz re-dub is far superior. A shame more didn't see that one.
Many lesser games in the 80s/90s had their translations literally made from scratch because of how little they thought of those funny foreign games. So the script got tossed and then rewritten basically wholesale.
Name them.
And if this is about Working Designs, they died a few years after starting this. I still wonder why no one has made a re-translation of the Lunar games, though...the crystal dragon saying "Don't you know they're made from my sh..." made me roll my eyes even then. The anime cutscenes were played straight, oddly enough.
Oh, that's not even the worst of it.
Laura Silsby Gayler was trying to traffic 33 kids out of Haiti, and Hillary Clinton took a very keen interest in making sure Laura got off on the charges.
Laura Silsby Gayler now works for Alert Sense, which is the company behind Amber Alerts.
Amber Alerts appear to have an ulterior purpose, which is to foot-drag, and delay, sending out any "alert" until after the perps have made a clean getaway.
Or the next-best people are so darn good that they become a threat to the clique.
Recently I heard a new guy named Reagan Murdock. Holy shit, that man has a GREAT voice. I hope he has a long successful career...or I would, if I knew anything about him as a person whatsoever, but my praise of his voice remains. He also voiced Iron Man on Death Battle, if you're curious.
But I just know he'll never be allowed to succeed past a certain level.
By the way, Cristina Valenzuela (Cristina Vee) is only 36 years old.
Does anyone really think she got so high in the hierarchy by pure skill alone?
No. She almost certainly slept with everyone.
Yes, but those weren't outright malice.
Besides, it was this scene where I first really started to notice this.
Wait a second.
How can it be "the same 12 voice actors" AND a "lack of consistent talent?"
Serious question, this sounds incongruous. Did I miss something? I keep hearing that the same people keep getting roles, so you'd think that would be the definition of consistency...right?
The backlash was so bad that the line was re-dubbed for the Blu-Ray release to be more accurate.
But I saved the original for you.
Never forget.
The best way is by joining a church
Not interested.
And there it is.
You have a God-shaped hole in your soul that you're trying to fill with anything else.
Rootkit issue?
they also now have free reign to just insert the full text of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto into every game's readme.txt
It saddens me that I cannot tell if you're joking or if someone actually did this.
Anyway, fun fact: Woolsey did not do the US release of Final Fantasy 4. He was hired BECAUSE of that game's bad English translation, which gave us one infamous funny line and that's about it.
Credit to him for working around those cartridge limitations, though.
They always point to Ted Woolsey, too.
Ted Woolsey had no agenda. His localizations worked in their era.
Ted Woolsey's approach would not work today. We have the Internet. We can easily look up what the Japanese line was.
Sadist psychopaths generally start by abusing animals before moving up to humans, so I agree.
They forced it into the DS game. They'll do it again.
I still remember how pissed I was when, after you finished the new postgame content, Dalton showed up...
