Most of me was very sad when I found out, but there was a small part of me (buried deep since I haven't been religious for about 20 years) that thought "God will not be mocked, and I guess that's the price you pay for it"
Tell me how the secular world is rational now that it is free from religion?
Not really rational, but it's demonstrated that the average human being is so incapable of virtue and so animalistic, that they probably do need an Argumento ab Deus code of morals imparting unto them the fear of eternal damnation (Christianity) or civilzation suffering the wrath of the Gods (any polytheistic religion, and something the Abrahamic God hasn't done for centuries now), in order to keep society stable. It speaks volumes about "God's creation".
The sad state of the scientific research world is a huge rabbit hole of special interest groups and payoffs for propaganda. Turning science into a tool to push agendas.
The article itself feels fairly balanced and reasonable to me, though the statement from the president of WPATH, Dr. Marci Bowers, seems more like an affirmation of the accusations against her organization than a defense:
WPATH remains a science and consensus-based organization whose recommendations are widely endorsed by professional, medical organizations around the globe. We are the professionals who best know the medical needs of trans and gender-diverse individuals and stand opposed to individuals who de-legitimize diverse identities and complex needs of this population.
Its so dumb how something so brain dead obvious has to be "proven" again and again.
