Rebel News was good on COVID but they are nauseatingly pro-Israel and run by a Jew Ezra Levant.

Their constant open grifting in every news story is also very off-putting.

I'm still confused why Canadian Tire is a "pet friendly" place.

My family member brings her super anxious mid-sized dog there then freaks out if anyone tries to touch her (she is in no way a service dog).

Doctor's offices aren't exactly known for their flexibility and accommodation. They generally just declare "your next appointment is X".

It could conceivably be difficult to schedule prenatal appointments if you are working a straight 9-5 because doctors generally only offer appointments M-F 9-5 as well.

That being said, most prenatal appointments are pretty short, especially early on. It's mostly just rote data collection on a fixed schedule.

Early on, appointments are only every 4 weeks or so, increasing to weekly by the end. The scheduling of the appointments is pretty sensitive though as all prenatal milestones are based on gestational age by weeks, so visits need to occur at specific times at specific intervals.

But remember, Trump's team has already couched that J6 pardons will be "reviewed on a case-by-case basis".

The UK Conservative party tore up his membership for his Lotus Eaters involvement shortly after Starmer's win in July.

I doubt Sargon would actually allow anyone that based to be a regular contributor though as he's more of a gentleman fencesitter since his Philosophy degree completion.

Thanks.

I don't know much about it, but I used to watch the Armchair Admirals of the Yogscast play Civ6 and constantly complain that it wasn't Endless Legend

I'm considering Humankind and Old World to scratch my 4x itch.

I know Humankind is woke and really bombed, but it's finally cheap enough to waste a few dollars on to experience it myself after following its development and release fairly closely 4 years ago.

I was more referring to francophone voting blocs outside of Quebec around Ottawa, in Northern Ontario and New Brunswick.

Regional populations that will always support the Liberals because they vote as a bloc for gibs towards their parallel francophone institutions.

But even 22% support for Trudeau & the federal Liberals in Quebec is pretty close to my original spitball and still way too entrenched after a decade of faggotry.

Canada has it written in their dogshit Charter of Rights & Freedoms that it is perfectly legal to discriminate against whites, males and the old stock majority.

There's still 25% of the country that still would re-elect Trudeau despite the decade of abuse.

Though there's a not-insignficant portion of francophones doing identity politics in there.

Most modern pumpkin pie is either store bought or filling from a can.

The pumpkin pie taste mostly comes from nutmeg and allspice.

The actual pumpkin part doesn't really have much flavor and is mostly ceremonial.

I think both parties share blame.

Firaxis, the legacy company continuing on the iconic Sid Meier's Civilization IP is just awful when it comes to community relations.

They released tons of broken and buggy Day 1 paid Season Pass DLC on both PC & console and simply refused to acknowledge the fuckups or rush hotfixes until their next few patch release cycles. PC users at least were able to revert some of the gamebreaking bugs with mods. But console users were completely at the mercy of corporate who was radio silent for months and years.

Aspyr's initial Civ6 base game port to consoles was actually very well done give early 2010s hardware limitations on last gen consoles and needing to turn a mouse & keyboard, heavy infographic game into one that could be played on the couch with a controller.

The problems with the third party developer came later as console-specific problems emerged with half-finished season pass DLC buying dropped every few months back in 2020-2021.

Firaxis would simply wash their hands of all inquiries re: console specific problems, namely late game stability issues as the Civ DLC became more bloated and the old hardware couldn't handle all the assets on anything but the tiniest of map settings.

Corporate would simply state that they weren't responsible for the console ports that contained all their branding & IPs and instead users should directly contact the faceless Aspyr.

In Dec 2023, two & half years after Firaxis had unofficially stopped releasing new content & supporting their 2016 IP, they out of the blue announced a whole slew of new semi-free DLC content for PC users to bridge the gap that Civ 7 hadn't been announced yet and was behind schedule (Civ 7 has since been announced midway through 2024 and is releasing in Feb 2025)

But part of the Dec 2023 new DLC announcement was that it was only coming to PC because Aspyr was so behind on other non-Civ projects that Firaxis was severing ties. This with a third-party developer who hadn't patched a single bug on console since April 2021.

I'm not sure how it came about, but Firaxis did quietly drop the new DLC content for consoles 8 months later in Aug 2024 but without most bugs from 3 1/2 years ago addressed. Previously with the Dec 2023 PC announcement of bridging DLC content, they implied that there was no expectation that console players would ever see any future ports or bug fixes again.

They also ported Civ6 over to Mac & consoles.

They were apparently so incompetent that Firaxis fired them before the end of the game's support cycle, leaving console users without access to bug fixes and access to new DLC for long periods compared to the PC master race.

Nick Fuentes speculated that both the Gaetz AG nomination and his immediate resignation from congress was a deliberate ruse to kill the sexual relations with a minor/trafficking internal investigation if he wasn't a sitting Congressman anymore.

I could be wrong, but I believe the Lauren Southern stuff happened before his divorce.

Or at least the timeline where Southern and Bonnell were seen together frequently online was well before his wife left him for the twink.

“According to Forbes, there were only three cable networks in 2023 with an average audience above one million viewers, down from five the previous year and down from 19 in 2013.” They’re dying on the vine, their streaming services can’t make money, and they are too useless to even keep around as propaganda rags.

There's been a real about-face with cable regional sports networks as well.

About a decade ago, there was lots of talk in the baseball/cable network world that live sports like baseball would prop up cable companies because men would continue to watch & pay for live sports which didn't lend themselves well to on-demand streaming models.

A bunch of midmarket baseball teams signed ludicrous contracts with some of these regional sports networks for the exclusive rights to broadcast the local 9s games.

Baseball is a very regional sport. Most of the revenue still comes from gate receipts and broadcasting rights because it's not a national product: people only care about their local team and don't watch nationally televised games.

Payrolls, salaries and collective bargaining agreements have really become inflated assuming that these ludicrous nine-figure cable deals were the new normal.

The business model worked that local baseball fans would stay subscribed to the RSN channel with high fees to watch their team, but still more normies would end up paying the same fees without knowing by subscribing to bundled cable packages.

Over the last few years, the main player who signed a lot of these broadcasting agreements, Sinclair Broadcasting/Bally Sports has essentially gone bankrupt, walking away from their end of the deal before it expired. A lot of midmarket baseball teams who had already budgeted that future revenue were suddenly left without a broadcaster, but still left to pay guaranteed player salaries. The MLB Head Office has had to intervene to run interference so that it doesn't look like their league's broadcasting rights for all but their marquee market teams have no value.

The MLB actually pioneered digital streaming of live games, but completely dropped the ball on capitalizing on the early adoption. The league ended selling their MLB Advanced Media streaming platform to ?Disney years ago just so that the 30 team owners would get a 30 million or so cash dividend.

The league does sell a year-long streaming package to stream games digitally, but geofences access with blackouts so that users can only watch out-of-market games but can't watch locally. There are some places in the Midwest like Iowa where locals are blacked out from watching something like 7 teams despite there being no major league team in the state simply due to overlapping territorial claims.

The geofencing & the digital blackouts are mostly in place to protect the value of the previously highly-priced TV broadcast rights each team had sold.

In the last few years, the MLB has allowed some local teams to sell local digital live game streaming rights directly to consumers. But most teams have simply bundled this as part of a perk to the regional sports network cable package.

Is the July 4th, 2026 end date for the DOGE program a sunset clause so that another permanent bureaucracy isn't created?

An arbitrary deadline to speed along decisions?

The point is, he doesn't play video games as a hobby in his spare time.

He doesn't/didn't even play the games in all his iconic videos. All the actual game footage is all supplied by his friend and former collaborator Mike Matei.

It's not that James Rolfe isn't interested in modern video games, he simply isn't passionate or interested in video games since he became an adult, period.

The entire AVGN persona is a complete ruse.

James doesn't care about retro videogames as a hobby or passion either despite making a living that he pretends he does for two decades.

He wrote an autobiography a few years back and he barely mentioned video games or his YT success at all. He was also literally a special needs kid he was so much of a sperg.

He's much more interested in old horror films and filmmaking (though he's lazy, narrow and mostly incompetent when it comes to that too). He also is more passionate about death metal and plays bass in a very cringe videogame-themed cover band called Rex Viper.

Mike Matei who used to appear in some of the oldest AVGN videos is the actual passionate video game nerd. But he has no charisma and is a quick tempered manchild.

hoe_math is a mercurial creator.

On one hand, he's probably one of the most based YT creators out there, particularly in the red pill adjacent sphere.

His Twitter is fire and really goes there compared to his relatively safe YT relationship cartoons.

OTOH, he can really come off as whiny and emo when he cryptically talks about his own social life.

He moved out of his wilderness COVID apartment a few months back and has been touring the US looking for a no income tax state to settle down in. He wants access to mountains and to live away from the bugmen, but also wants access to cities for their leftist culture offerings.

He also dated a fan about 6 months back. Some rich, wannabe musician emailed him pitching a relationship and then immediately moved in with him for months. She even appeared in his livestreams for awhile. Then they broke up and she went back to live with her rich parents because he couldn't "provide the life she was accustom to" despite his newfound YT money.

He deliberately dumbs-down and cutesifies alot of what he talks about to try and get through to dumb normies.

Apparently it works? To some degree? I think he's bitched about before - the moment he tries to go 'serious' he gets an abnormal amount of push-back and defensive arguing,

I've heard hoe_math talk about how his initial viral YT audience when he came over from Tiktok a year ago was closer to 70/30 male-female, but it quickly settled on 91/9 even before he got really spicy and based in on X in the run-up to the election.

His YT is still more normie-friendly than his Twitter. In cartoon format, he mockly just mocks female nature and implies occasionally that there's an upcoming societal collapse.
