This is one reason I still have some respect for Nintendo. They actually polish their games for launch and keep them in a small filesize. Of course the reason for that is because they're developing for the Switch, but it's good practice to do either way.
It has a different artist and writer, there is definitely a disconnect between the art style and the story. I watched the first 2 episodes the other day and they had a very good sense of companionship and loneliness. Those are really important to me, and many other anime I like such as One Punch Man and Overlord also feature those elements a lot.
Very true. I suggest people watch this video on Sauron, this whole channel has great Tolkien content and I highly recommend it.
Yeah you basically just have to fix the banking system and debt, and most economic problems get solved in the long run. The problem is the people with a stranglehold on that will never let it go, and they know how valuable it is.
Reminds me of the fact that Crichton mentions Palestine as a key example in his description of this:
“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.
In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.”
– Michael Crichton (1942-2008)
The developers are tranny supporters. Here is the writer who has pronouns in bio and follows people such as Leigh Alexander. Do not be surprised when your "there is no woke stuff" suddenly turns into plastering rainbow flags everywhere. You can take a look through their other employees if you want.
Yeah the original was Vivian being called an "otokonoko" and wanting to fit in with the other Shadow Sirens. But now they're retranslating stuff that was never changed to begin with like the Pikmin and Baten Kaitos ports.
Apparently the manga author thought "either sex is okay" and the anime and other works tend to make the character more feminine. Source is this tweet.
It reminds me of the video about the Frankfurt School by Vertigopolitix. About them going to California in its prime and thinking "This is an awful consumerist society, we must endlessly criticize it and tear it down"
Yeah I wish there was more weapon variety. Some things are way stronger than others.
Souls does not have any stagger mechanics like that, only Sekiro really does.
The small enemies in levels are pretty boring. But I've enjoyed most of the boss fights with a few exceptions.
I never played 2. Just some of 1 and 4 before this. I hope they use this as a good base to build off of for an expansion or sequel. It is a bit thin, but I enjoyed my 1st playthrough a good deal.
I have only watched some videos of it and have no interest in it at all. It comes off as very ugly to me. I've been playing Armored Core 6 and enjoying it a lot. If you consider it to be "Not AC" I wonder what you do consider to be Armored Core, using one analog stick? It's less crazy than 4 was in terms of movement, but more restrictive in terms of weapons.
Reading it was a big wake up call for me too. At first I thought "Well if they're vilifying Trump so much, I'm sure that happened a lot in the past too" and tried reading it with an open mind. I found myself nodding a lot when he was decrying how awful journalists are. A lot of the specific German politics at the time lost me though.
For anybody interested in more I would suggest watching The Greatest Story Never Told. Still take it as propaganda of course, but the other side of the media and hollywood entertainment.
I saw this start happening with the iPhone around 2007. I was not interested in it at all. People see following trends as an easy way to get popularity and dopamine. They don't actually think about what those trends are or where they ultimately lead.
I would not be surprised if half of it was because it saved them something like 0.1 cents per straw and gave them a higher ESG score, and half for the demon possessed being able to leech even more chemicals into people.
Yeah. Also worth noting that the people in the Las Vegas police during their very suspicious mass shooting ended up moving to the Maui police force recently before this. There are reports that the police were actively blocking the highways during it. Considering the peculiarities with things like boats that were on the water being on fire, it's very interesting.
It basically was the Beer Hall Putsch, except in that Hitler was only sentenced to 5 years and served 9 months. So the government that America has now is remarkably more corrupt than Weimar. I can only imagine when the pendulum swings back how much harder things could be.
It's interesting to see what is actually being incentivized. Like it clearly shows they are supposed to be taking in more university graduates and retaining them, as well as getting as many female employees as they can in high positions.
