She was a means to an end. Only an absolute shitbag would be trying to rob the battlefield soon enough to find Jin and be able to save him. And then she pushed him towards finding the actual best character of the story, her brother, whose tools and arc are what turned Jin into the Ghost itself.
Just a guy with a rifle and bad ideas
Funny how the ICE shooting not a few weeks back was literally the exact scenario you described playing out just as you laid it out, but that story wasn't as exploitable so it just got left in the memory hole instantly.
Heck it even had a bunch of suspicious and questionable elements just like this, but nah, not griftable so back to Charlie.
Doesn't make the wildest conspiracy theories true, but I do think there's more going on here than we're being told.
One of the big problems with this, and all sorts of other conspiracy heavy stories, is that everyone finds one thread and assume it unravels the entire thing. Like this piece doesn't make sense, so everything that is evidence of the story being true is now invalid. Or vice versa.
It makes any real discussion impossible, because people will laser focus on the part that fits their narrative, treat it as proof definitive, and discard literally everything else as irrelevant despite it being just as important a piece as the part they are treating as sacred.
This story is full of holes and suspicious shit, but, just like JFK or the Vegas shooting, its also likely we will never figure it out either and no amount of "zoom on that pixel, enhance" will be the crucial element. But a lot of people are happy to claim they did for the grift to get the most Clickbait money possible off the death of this man, and then have people rush in with their confirmation bias to say its now the gospel truth.
So its British, and downstream European English mostly, which would explain why I'd never heard it. Another useful point of learning. A lot of British slang and idioms seem quite vulgar for common discussion (like politicians), and this seems to continue that trend.
She did absolutely nothing wrong
Agree entirely. The meaning is clear regardless, and wouldn't need to be investigated in any sense.
The only way it would is if you take it completely literally as I did, and she was literally bred like an animal in her hometown. In the way a group of people like idk say Muslims would. But that would be too smart for the Brits, and we all knew that wasn't the case whatsoever.
You shouldn't allow your use and perception of language to be controlled by that.
Well in this case, I hadn't ever heard it used in this manner. As has been pointed out its both old fashioned and/or regional. It was simply being uncultured about a minor point of language. The kind of thing "that's how we say it back home" clears up.
And in doing so, we all had a discussion where we learned a little bit, as Cato sourced it used to be highly used and then stopped and was replaced with the now much more common "and raised" variant.
I'm happy to look stupid for a moment to learn something new, I think people being too afraid of such is how we end up so boxed in and rigid to begin with.
It was a couple of hours of time commitment back in the aughts where you did a before & after timed computer test under the influence.
I suppose for a multi hour inclusion that makes more sense, that's also a study that isn't going to get huge sample sizes so their budget for paying can dole out more.
And your attitude into it is another reason why these things are so weak. Very few people are taking them serious, and often in it for the hot Psych undergrads running it, so their answers are usually pretty underthought or unrevealing.
I am unashamed to admit I spend a chunk of time in the company of Lefties, degenerates, and other sinners of the highest order. Its useful to not only understand their mindsets, but sometimes you pull someone back.
In this case, I never hear the word "bred" outside of animals and said degenerates, and didn't know it was common in other areas of the country/world to be normal.
I'm aware, I spend a lot of time in the company of the worst types of people trying to pull them out of the dirt. Its why I originally tried to be a therapist in my younger days.
Perhaps its effected my perception of the world more than I thought, but I also find "bred" to still be more animalistic than need be when applied to humans.
A man who is angry all the time will shoot at every bush that moves and spin his tires until nobody listens to a word he has to say about anything. Making him less effective at fighting this in every sense possible.
Someone as psychotic as this doesn't feel like someone a simple block would stop. I imagine by the time that they are willing to show you such a red flag its already too late, they are too invested and obsessed.
Almost all online personalities are going to have to live with this forever risk, because they literally cannot succeed without creating parasocial relationships to some extent, women especially. Much like prostitution, the inherent evil in the world means the type of work will always carry an inherent danger.
Honestly, half the reason I initially disliked him was his business model of smearing his ugly face on everything, and then those videos being spread everywhere making you see it everytime.
So it is incredibly amusing that it possibly is backfiring here just a bit.
What incentive do survey companies have to ever actually ask any person any questions?
Just the fact that they need to do enough work that it looks like they did something, enough to satisfy their sponsor. Otherwise whoever paid them could have just paid a random PhD to attach their name to a made up quote entirely, and we aren't quite that far gone yet most of the time.
And a lot of the time these things are being done by grad students or research assistants, so there is a grade being held over their heads to at least conduct something.
You are right about the rest though, no one reads past the headline and the chart. Because if they did it would be comically obvious how weak 90% of these are in telling you anything.
The money is always good, mostly because its easy and free. And most college kids are gonna be there anyway, so why not.
But almost all of these things are operated out of such locations, so they aren't going to travel far if they don't have to and technically a campus isn't Leftist only so they can pretend its diverse.
The only alternatives you ever see are phone surveys and online polls, both of which have such a self selection bias of who the fuck would answer this that they are useless for anything other than social engineering headlines.
Reminder that every "survey" or "study" is almost entirely conducted on college campuses or cities near them. Meaning that the sample size is overwhelmingly favored towards young Lefties.
So these things are more of a reflection of that specific demographic instead of "US Voters" in general.
You could theoretically have a very based story full of based characters who are all very ugly
Ironically in the very game we are discussing the ugly character, Yuna, is one of the better written ones whose "badassery" is realistic to what women could do against grown soldiers. Thievery, sneaking, and cheap shots while running from basically everything, and she is butt ugly from living a life of that as a street urchin.
She gets underplayed a lot, because the other big storyline women (archer girl and samurai widow lesbian) are pure Woke nonsense. But its a show that the devs behind this are aware of all these problems, and are actively choosing to write in the direction they are.
Its been close to 15 years, so I'm not going to have hard details for you, but when I played I consistently felt like I was in the same hallway endless in many levels (mostly in the second half) and could only tell I was progressing at all by the presence of alive enemies. And even if I knew I was going forward, many levels just felt like they went on like 30% too long.
I never felt this way in 2 or 3, so clearly something was changed that solved the issue. Maybe unintentionally.
accused of simply having too slow of a shooter design
I can't see how anyone could think that. When you are in a fight, things are constantly happening and TTK is always low outside of bosses (who are way too spongey but that's a separate issue). Its frantic and constant. Anyone who thinks otherwise must be a Normal Difficulty shitter.
Unless they mean that MC literally moves too slow, which is a valid criticism for people who play other FPS games. But that's also why Halo was a landmark and the rest of them are niche. The super speedy bouncing around FPS games (I think they call them boomer shooters now) are literally just memorization and reflexes, speedrunner autism, than playing an actual game.
But I also stopped playing Halo halfway through Reach (still hate that game) and only played COD for the original MW trilogy, so this isn't my genre to have opinions on. I simply love Halo 2/3's campaign.
And everything I said is still valid. Trusting her just because she said it, and limped out with this incredibly suspicious screenshot is foolishness that would be laughed at if it didn't fit exactly what you wanted to believe.
Do you care about opposing Israel and Jews out of principle, and care for some sort of moral truth, or just to have your ego validated for noooticing super hard?
I literally only became part of this "movement" because of how quickly and noticeably this compromising was. I was just a drifting /b/tard shitposting and suddenly these massive threads were popping up and then getting banned, and certain words followed them. And not in a "clear rule breaker" (like CP) or the roody poo word filter fun, but a clear clamp down.
I know most guys in my similar boat went on to the other chans, but I stumbled on KIA trying to find answers. And it was obvious after a few months that the place was rushing as fast as it could into irrelevance to try and maintain its "respectability" by being good little Leftie goys.
