As a side note, every single day, governments around the world, regardless of affiliation, association and/or name commit acts of evil, and there are still people who still think they can control such an organisation to be beneficial. Unironically drawn in by the lure of evil to think they can do good. Power always corrupts. No, when "your team" wins, it will not be different. The only winning move is to remove power at every level.

Not really, because it doesn't really have any real world applications outside of archaeology.

That's the problem with most of these degrees, they lack a real world application and are ultimately ponzi schemes with a very tiny sliver able to be successful by getting into positions of teaching to continue the ponzi scheme going and taking advantage of the majority that end up never being able to find a job that requires such a degree.

I still remember his denial days of shouting down to others that it was "a 50/50 chance". I wonder if he's truly moved past that, but his rhetoric of "betrayal" seems like he still thinks there was (and still is) some kind of legitimacy of the people who pushed this crap.

I kinda feel sorry for him, but I also kinda don't. Everyone around him lead him to the proverbial water, and he was the one who refused to drink, actively choosing the koolaid stand instead and mocking people that refused to join him. I don't think he deserves to off himself or go through depression, but at the same time he needs to come to terms with his own major failures.

Actor. Played Dwight in TV series The Office, and was the lead in Super (a sort of deconstructionist take on being a vigilante. Also includes Ellen Page's character trying to rape Wilson's character, all played off for laughs, but consent doesn't matter if you're a man). Hasn't really done anything notable since the end of The Office in 2013.

you won't be able to get away with ignoring localizers and translators anymore

Sure I can. I just won't buy your shit, and continue playing the old games that there are plenty of.

But it's funny how it used "get away", like it was some crime or scandal that people dislike people with admitted agendas.

Yes they will. Controlled opposition must be allowed to win every now and then to maintain the illusion that people can have an impact with their vote, otherwise people look to other methods of impacting society for change.

On the one hand, it's something to apologise. On the other, it wouldn't have mattered if the vaccines did stop transmission and protect others, it's still none of your business.

Chances are you wouldn't exclude someone if they were smoking outside your building, but that's fine. Because it was never about the health. It was about going with the crowd.

they can't get away with it again

Yet. They can't get away with it again yet. It will happen again. And then it "won't happen". Then it will happen again. And so on and so forth. Just like the dems win, and then the republicans, then the dems, then the republicans, and so on and so forth.

The game has been rigged for a while. It's not a new development. The only thing new is how many people are paying attention for the first time. Will it change anything? Probably not. The status quo is more comfortable than the uncertainty of actually changing anything on a meaningful level (no, voting is not changing anything on a meaningful level).

they might get the violent version.

When will this happen? The """violent version""" has been threatened for decades now, and nothing has happened. We've shifted to discussions of grooming children in schools, and nothing has happened. You cannot keep a threat going if there is never going to be a follow through. And there won't be. Because it wasn't a sudden jump. Everything has always happened gradually, and it's far harder to draw a line on small changes, and they know that. So as long as it keeps working, the establishment are going to continue to boil the frog. And if they need to release some tension by letting some controlled opposition win, they'll do that before picking up right where they left off.

Two things: There is zero legitimate reason an election cannot be counted within a day.

And this is an outright admission there will be efforts to manufacture fake counts. If counts were legit, it shouldn't drastically change demographic numbers based on when the votes are counted.

Oh no, someone in Hollywood is a leftist? This is such a shock!!!

Anyone who is surprised by this is a blithering moron. No exceptions.

Counterpoint: They're both controlled opposition to get people from The Other Side™ to support Their Side™. In other words, they're not really the voices of reason or the public, they're there to sway people towards the left on individual topics while they pay lip service to the big topics to keep them more complacent.

Bill Maher is, and always has been, controlled opposition.

Personally, I thought Season 1 was interesting enough, even if the season end was a bit "meh". Season 2 left me bored and I ended up watching to the end of it solely because I'd started (a bad habit). I watched about 20 minutes of season 3 and just went "yeah, this is dumb as shit and actively annoying to watch" all because of how stupid it got. It went from an interesting hook, to boring, to irritating. All within the first 3 seasons.

I would not recommend the show, even season 1, to another person because of how shit the later seasons are. There's no payoff to starting something that will only end in tragedy.

Doctors are some of the most "yes men" type people out there. They do not care to actually look at the data and make an opinion from that. Sometimes it's because it's risky for their job, but in most cases it's just laziness as they blindly trust the pharma companies that give them bonuses for pushing the latest pill they've developed.

My favourite is when someone calls a white person Caucasian and chances are that they are not in fact from or descended from the Caucus region. Because racial awareness only matters if you're a certain skin colour.

I quite like Jamieson Price's voice. But that man is about as dumb as his voice is deep.

Should also be noted that these groups never actually say what is included in "gender affirming care". It's almost like it's deliberately vague to make way for later efforts.

People really don't understand the difference between kids shows/films, and family friendly. Because yeah, Dora the Explorer, Bluey and Peppa Pig are definitely for children and children alone, but equally so there are shows like Avatar TLA, Batman TAS, Pinky and The Brain, and so many more that people of all ages will enjoy.

And frankly, if cartoons get to be labelled as "for children" because a handful are exclusively kids content, should we also label live action as "for kids" because The Wiggles, Play School and Sesame Street all exist?

And this isn't even touching on the reality and popularity of anime. Chapek is just an out of touch executive. Nothing new there.

The troon kneejerks to telling others to kill commit suicide, because the troon is themselves obsessed with the idea of killing themselves.
