I still remember his denial days of shouting down to others that it was "a 50/50 chance". I wonder if he's truly moved past that, but his rhetoric of "betrayal" seems like he still thinks there was (and still is) some kind of legitimacy of the people who pushed this crap.
I kinda feel sorry for him, but I also kinda don't. Everyone around him lead him to the proverbial water, and he was the one who refused to drink, actively choosing the koolaid stand instead and mocking people that refused to join him. I don't think he deserves to off himself or go through depression, but at the same time he needs to come to terms with his own major failures.
