Its some specific MD script that allows it to get through, as its literally the only site I get anything of the like through. But there is a giant one for AFK Journey above my library and the classic "give us money" one overlaying on the bottom that turns into a bar if you close it.
Point being you can't beg for money after blowing up something like 30% of your site overnight, telling people to suck it up, and ending any trust the scanlation community could have in you.

i literally had to pirate Witcher 3 because CDPR retroactively pushed this online "account checker" on their GOG galaxy install which means everytime i want to play the Bitcher 3 i need to sign in, to play a fucking single player game
its madness considering GOG did the whole "FCK DRM" campaign while they literally the very thing they swore to destroy
You...could have just downloaded the installer files from GOG's website. No need to use the stupid Galaxy program. I certainly don't.

Yes. There's no verification or DRM whatsoever in GOG's offline installers. Download them onto your hard drive, store them, back them up, install them whenever you like as often as you like and on as many machines as you like. They're yours forever.

Can't confirm if it works with Witcher 3, but for other GoG games you can install w. Galaxy if you want, then just go to the install folder and make a shortcut direct to the game executable. That will bypass Galaxy when you open the game.
it works for classical GOG games but withcer 3 was the exception since it was their first AAA title
or gog or cdpr could not have tricked people onto the account checker thing.
I need to remember to get the cracks for Blood Dragon. I love that game but hate whatever abomination Ubisoft is using to force people to login to play single-player games.

Grab the offline installer, don't install through GoG Galaxy.

Ubisoft truly deserves every fate and worse for that nonsense across all its games. Its especially bad in that game because you can see how much the game chugs and has to load because its trying to log in and verify with the server over and over.
The hiking apps I looked at all required accounts. And, then the apps showed you what the people around you were doing, and what time they averaged doing their habits. It was like stalker heaven with all the data organized, and color coded. Until those apps are proven to be the cause of crime idiots will use them. Not everything should be datamined with an account.
And even if you DO sign up, the product eventually gets utterly enshittified anyway, and you have to look for another one and repeat the whole process.
Apps switching server side login is making me try less things. A decade ago I was willing to try the dumbest shit because I was bored. I haven't done that in a very long time.

No it don't. I run it on a PS1 emulator just fine. (don't worry govbots, I have the real CDs and a real Playstation, copyright satisfied, I just like the tools the emulators offer).
Weird, I booted FFVII on my New 2DS XL and no account required. ( Jailbreak everything. )

I meant the steam version, it needs a square account to log in at least once. It only matters if you want to use the 7th heaven mod manager to use HD textures, 7th heaven requires a legit copy of of the game, it could be from the original pc install discs or steam version
SteamUnlocked is your friend then.
Getting a pirated version to play was not the problem, but the hoops square makes you jump through if you actually want to pay for a legit copy, for a 30 years old single player game
One day I will get around to digging out my old install discs and figuring out how to make that shit run on a modern system and play it again.
I have the pc install discs, they install and work fine on windows 10, you're just stuck on low resolution
