Michael Masters, who oversees security operations for the main U.S. network of Jewish schools and synagogues, told ABC News. "Attacks against religious institutions are attacks against our democracy as a whole."
Masters said there has been an increase in targeted attacks across the faith-based community over the past several years.
"This is something we’ve been working to prepare for in the Jewish community for many years. In the current threat environment, the offenders are often not distinguishing. There’s the Jewish community, the Sikh community, the Annunciation church and now the LDS church in Michigan," he said.

Some media is reporting they are investigating a residence on Atherton Road in Burton, Michigan.
Some on social media say they saw the house that was filled with cops and the google streetview shows a Trump/Vance sign on the back fence.
It has both a house and a trailer at the same address though, so it is quite possible multiple families/generations are living at the address. (IE trump sign or even the truck used in the shooting could be owned by grandpa, etc)

One thing to keep in mind though, the some outlets suggest he planted bombs beforehand, so it likely wasn't a crime of passion and leaving/putting the flags in his truck bed for the shooting was a deliberate decision.
Anything is possible, but I just wish people would be honest. Unless it's explicitly politically motivated/targeted, it's pretty disingenuous to go to that. If a leftist kills someone for being a "Trumper," a "fascist," a "Nazi," or similar...yeah, that's politically motivated leftwing violence. If a Republican kills someone because the aliens told him to...yeah, don't really care about the dude's politics. That's a mental health issue.
