Glad I'm not Catholic.

Got to love how he singles out Musk, no political agenda what so ever. Does he know he is not suppose to serve 2 masters?

"Is the pope Catholic?" hasn't been a rhetorical question for a long time now.

"The pope is infallible"

"THE POPE IS A FUCKING COMMUNIST"

"The... pope... is... confused?"

And the schism is further fracturing in modern Catholicism. Many just haven’t liked the last two Popes for obvious reasons.

I'm not sure if worshiping an anti-Christ and following a heresy is enough reason not to fracture the church.

It's not my religion, you all get final say, I'm just asking if the institution is worth saving when it is directly set against you.

The institution isn’t worth saving but the belief is. Catholic private schools are, mostly, still great as they are allowed to follow their own dioceses (or group governances.) Think military branch’s but are able to ignore some of the Pope’s requests (like banning traditional Latin only sermons.)

When the quote is taken in full context, Pope Leo, is talking more about valuing other things in life, instead of just material wealth, which is exactly what Jesus says in the Bible (e.g. https://www.esv.org/verses/Luke+12:15/). See below (source: https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2025-09/the-pope-let-us-overcome-hatred-and-violence.html):

For Pope Leo, it is important “to continue to remind ourselves of the potential that humanity has to overcome the violence and the hatred that is just dividing us more and more.”

Recognizing that we live in times of polarization – especially after the crisis of 2020, and also in times of lost values – Pope Leo says: “The value of human life, of the family, and the value of society. If we lose the sense of those values, what matters anymore?”

He also points to “the continuously wider gap between the income levels of the working class and the money that the wealthiest receive.”

The Pope notes that “CEOs that 60 years ago might have been making four to six times more than what the workers are receiving, the last figure I saw, it’s 6,600 times more than what average workers are receiving.”

On this point, the Pope says he also read that Elon Musk, American entrepreneur and founder of Tesla and SpaceX, will be the world’s first trillionaire: “What does that mean and what's that about? If that is the only thing that has value anymore, then we're in big trouble…”

The Catholic Church has a minimum of $2.5 Trillion in assets.

This epoP will be no better than the last epoP was 🤢

Business as usual for the Church. It's not like they've been anything but greedy hypocrites for their entire existence.

At the same time, many billionaires are behind on their pledges to give away their money through The Giving Pledge—the commitment launched in 2010 by Warren Buffett as well as Bill and Melinda French Gates to give away at least 50% of their wealth to philanthropy during their lifetimes or in their wills.

Global social engineering is not philanthropy. The Catholic Church has put more money into social engineering than charity as well, they just call it aid (mass birthrate explosion in poor countries), immigration support (helping third world kids takeover modern countries), and assimilation services (infinite taxpayer dollars to displace the countries population with said third worlders).

The Giving Pledge

Man I sure do wonder what that is, hopefully Wikipedia can enlighten me!

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried was removed from the list in December 2022 following his arrest

Guess all you need to do to get out of giving away billions of dollars is commit a few crimes (that they don't like, we know all the Right Thinkers on this list would never get arrested). I wonder why his money suddenly couldn't help a single person anymore, do dollars know when they are coming from a bad person and stop working?

The Giving Pledge was cited as inspiration for the Jewish Future Pledge, a charitable campaign launched in 2020 to encourage American Jews to give at least half of their charitable giving to Jewish- or Israel-related causes.

Oh lord, this is just a goldmine for people to reach in to.

Billionaire wealth increased three times faster in 2024 than it did in 2023, according to Oxfam. And over the last decade, the top 1% increased their wealth by nearly $34 trillion

*clicks link*

This system still extracts wealth from the Global South to the superrich 1% in the Global North at a rate of US$30million an hour. This must be reversed. Reparations must be made to those who were brutally enslaved and colonised.

Ah, this seems like the sort of sane publication that we could trust statistics from. I'm sure it's using absolute numbers for no reason. Nothing to do with the fact that inflation alone in the last decade would have increased the value of held assets by 39%.

Remind me again what this Pope's position was on the greatest upward wealth transfer of recent history: the COVID scam?

Billionaire wealth increased three times faster in 2024 than it did in 2023,

Which can literally mean a 3% increase in 2024 vs a 1% increase in 2023.

Stats are used for ragebait like this all the time.

Eventually, SOMEONE will become the first trillionaire. Nature of inflation. So long as this pope wants open boarders and mass migration, inflation will only get worse, and Musk will only get, numerically but not effectively, richer.

Walk the walk, Pope Chicago School Of Business: Declare that we must reduce birthrates of the largest populations in Africa and Asia, reduce mass migrations from those places into lesser populated regions, and have people hunker down with small families in ALL regions. That's the solution to inflation, it's easy, it's overt.

Pope is a heretic. Don’t let that stop you from seeking Christ, though.

What would it actually change if Musk was? He already has almost infinite money in practical terms. Is that the crossover point where he levels up and can now buy entire nations? Where he prestiges into divinity and people will enslave themselves to be in his presence?

They treat him like he is the only uber rich guy involved in politics, when the only difference is he is too autistic to be subtle about it. Which means we actually know what he is usually up to and can bully him into exploding about it.

The other ultra billionaires can't even be named without people accusing you of antisemitism, conspiracy theories, or people treating them like Gods (see the glazing of Gates in this very article).

How much money has mysteriously vanished from Catholic charities over the years? How many of its pious paritioners' donations has the Church funneled into its own pockets, or redirected to NGOs dedicated to flooding Catholic countries with unbelievers who hate Christians and routinely rape their children?

I am not concerned about Elon Musk. What concerns me is why does someone who doesn't work earn nearly what I earn after-tax? This wealth inequality is a far more pressing concern to me. Why does a minimum wage worker earn nearly as much as me after-tax?

Progressive Income Tax is a huge problem and needs to be abolished. We need 0 tax exemptions, 0 tax subsidies and a flat tax.
