I think he means the banks that finance them. Banks control the fed, banks can get loans from the fed, you can't.
They want more money, they get the fed to print more.
SNL's parent company is likely completely leveraged, and I think he is implying they get sweetheart interest rates(I wouldn't doubt it)
The control mechanism is supposed to be that since the banks have large amounts of cash assets, and have given fixed rate loans, so they in theory stand the most to lose. Along with that the banks are theoretically not working together. But there is still a lot of cash held by people who aren't banks, so they effective can steal from all the cash holders, and only "pay out" from their share(they don't pay out, just their money is devalued).
The simplest solution(other than just ending the fed) for this, at least to me, is just to for the government to take a cut of every fed loan payout and then refund income tax payers up to their liability at the end of the year.(Whether on a percentage, equal payout, or highest liability first, or some combination or other scheme)
This would keep the banks more honest if the cut was between 0 and whatever percentage of cash/fixed cash backed assets non-banks hold.
Another thing you could do is ban federal reserve member banks and federal reserve banks from loaning out at variable interest(leaving that to less privileged banks) and only allow them to take loans at variable interest. (This would have a side effect that fed member banks would need an intermediate non-member bank though)
It makes no sense that these unpopular insolvent shit shows stay on the air… until you realize that our money is just completely fucking fake. If the realities of the free market threaten to destroy globalist propaganda, then it is the free market that will bend the knee. That’s the entire purpose of fiat currency; it empowers them to manipulate everyone and everything.
Economy is fake, hence jew daycare and all these women showing "a day in the life" where they do nothing all day and make six figures. Money is only worth something to people working for it, those people swiping their EBT cards spending $4k a visit and making several visits to a store a month, or illegals getting everything paid for, etc, those folks think it's free and grows on trees and they're right.
It's staggering to see the financial details and how poorly these shows are doing. Between losing money and shrinking audiences it's clear the market isn't dictating the tv schedule.
They've tried to cancel it numerous times, and everytime they do people lose their absolute mind and threaten them for daring to try and destroy an "American cultural cornerstone." And not just randos on the internet, but actual people in power. No one will watch it, but they demand it still exists.
Its no surprise they whore themselves out to political parties and other corporations to try and maybe staunch that flow
Same for when they tried to end Turner Classic Movies a couple of years ago.
The network has no commercials for anything other than itself, and rarely advertises outside its medium--the most advertising it's gotten lately was thanks to "Timeless" Toni Storm, an AEW pro wrestler who uses classic movies as her gimmick...and, to her credit, has gone above and beyond with it; I think she's great.
Anyway, when they tried to pull it off the air, a lot of big Hollywood names, including Steven Spielberg (I know, I know), put their feet down, and that managed to save the network.
It still loses money every year, though. A shame, as it's one of the best ways to watch the black-and-white classics. With how David Zaslav is, they're probably not on HBO Max.
From what I've read, television series are horribly run in terms of inefficiencies and cost. So learning that SNL looses money doesn't really surprise me.
Makes sense, I bet they have a ridiculous amount of unionized employees for it. Probably goes along with the hosts being massively overpaid. I wonder if they eat these costs because it functions as NBCs advertising for stuff.
I'm guessing since the USAID 35 Billion a year money laundering pipeline has been shut down a lot of Hollywood movies and network shows that shouldn't exist... won't.
It’s not about the “money.” It’s about controlling the narrative from every outlet.
I get that, but seeing how much money "they" are willing to lose is crazy
They print it out of thin air and charge us interest on it. For them it’s no loss at all. The more they print, the more interest they get.
Yea but they have to launder that somehow. Without USAID and other grifts it's gotten harder to do, I guess.

horrors beyond comprehension, then.
This is the correct takeaway.

It's funny when liberals talk about corporate cronyism they always leave out the entertainment industry

I heard some retard say its better they have a talent specialists than another coder because how else they can attract and recruit new talent.
Im like... hows that working?? Games are more broken than ever before. These whores just hire based on dei and not skills.
I don't fully understand how, but every indication is that the money they "lose" isn't real or wildly inflated.
Most of the money in the world is on paper and not real.
Worse.. its digital now.
Money is a jewish trick. They aren't loosing anything.
something something Heath Ledger something something Everything Burns
I would be shocked if snl has turned a profit sine the early 2000s if even then.
It's staggering to see the financial details and how poorly these shows are doing. Between losing money and shrinking audiences it's clear the market isn't dictating the tv schedule.
Television is a performance to beg for money from the crusty old people in power with all of the money. Those dinosaurs still think TV matters.
There was a throwaway joke in the 90s game Gex about SNL not being funny for years (at that time).
Born too late to explore the earth.
Born too early to explore space.
Born just in time to witness the death of late night clowns.
They've tried to cancel it numerous times, and everytime they do people lose their absolute mind and threaten them for daring to try and destroy an "American cultural cornerstone." You probably like this channel then https://youtube.com/@boomerchannel_yt
Not sure if you're joking, because that link is a 404.
To be fair, that's not the first YouTube channel where a quirk of how URLs work caused that.
I found it the old-fashioned way (go figure). Not my thing, but I appreciate it.
Don't know why, but if you search boomer channel on YouTube, it's there
SNL died when they fired Norm over his OJ joke and Phil Hartman's psycho wife killed him.
I loved Norm's opening monologue when they asked him to host.
SNL hasn't made money since Chris Farley was in it.
I'm genuinely amazed how a show like that could possibly cost even $30 million. even with extremely generous salaries:
Full Band: 100k per band member * 10 band members = 1 mil
Host actors: 200k per actor * 5 hosts = 1 mil
Writers (lol): 100k * 20 writers = 2 mil
Props and Sets: 3mil
Camera and tv broadcast/internet streaming: 3 mil
Guest Star appearances: 10 mil
Legal Department: 10 mil
Guest appearances should be free or even make them a small profit since they're there to promote their new movies
From what I've read, television series are horribly run in terms of inefficiencies and cost. So learning that SNL looses money doesn't really surprise me.
If the Late Show has 200 employees, SNL has to have close to the same number which is obviously insane but that's how they do it apparently.
Unions.
Makes sense, I bet they have a ridiculous amount of unionized employees for it. Probably goes along with the hosts being massively overpaid. I wonder if they eat these costs because it functions as NBCs advertising for stuff.
Imagine how bad it is when there are unions in game making..
It's really weird how much power NBC has within its network. Universal is under NBC. So the theme parks have to do as the NBC says.
What parks does NBC own?
Universal and NBC are owned by Comcast. The company has made NBC in charge of Universal. IE all the Universal parks are run by NBC.
I'm guessing since the USAID 35 Billion a year money laundering pipeline has been shut down a lot of Hollywood movies and network shows that shouldn't exist... won't.
It's going to be fun to watch the hysterics.
