The western Christian thinkers (Catholic) spent so much ink on why it was best to defer to authority. Then they all decided that democracy is the best thing since Christ, so long as you vote for the typical neoliberal policies.
If a democracy votes on favor of evil (like Gov Waltz's allowance for late term baby disposal), then it is both evil and tyrannical. What is a non-neoliberal Christian to do? Christ premediated a beating over economic sacrilege, what would have done if he met abortionists?
Good question. According to progressive Christians somehow the Bible condones abortion, homosexuality, and every other far left cause. I would say wise financial knowledge is biblical. They also don’t understand that Christ commands us to help the less fortunate and not use the government to solve poverty.
Bible condones abortion, homosexuality, and every other far left cause.
It never has. The point of my complaint is that, amoral bullshit, is by nature tyrannical. You and I were raised to believe that our democracy was the best thing since Caesar. Would Christ, the incarnate godhead, agree that "abortion is a difficult issue," or would he start binding another whip?
I don't mean to be dickish about this question, but I feel its something to ponder.
Christ premediated a beating over economic sacrilege, what would have done if he met abortionists?
The same thing, if not worse, since child sacrifice was considered a blood offering to Baal, a lesser god. And there were few things that would require immediate death, and immoral blood sacrifices were one of them.
Kamala: January 6th was the worst attack on democracy since the civil war.
Since this wasn’t fact checked Trump immediately should release a presser that Kamala and ABC deny that Pearl Harbor, both WTC attacks, the bombing of congress by democrats in 1983, on and on ever happened or were attacks on American democracy.
When she was saying "You Tweeted 'Thankyou President Xi'" and implied the pandemic was worse due to the lack of Chinese transparency, did she not imply the lab leak theory?
She's right. The federal government didn't listen to the will of the states that voted to secede and invaded and killed them. The CSA never tried or wanted to change the US government.
She actually said that? (I didn't subject myself to this apoplexy-inducing bit of theater.)
It demonstrates my opinion that anyone intending to vote has already made his choice.
That is, unless a latter-day miracle occurs and a Harris voter realizes this is one of the most historically ignorant, blatantly prejudiced lies ever to issue from the maw of a politician. Right. And look . . . here comes Jesus!
I suppose another result of this bit of assholishness might be yet another reminder of just how low the DP has sunk since 2016.
There's not much you can do in a "gotcha" situation like they were shooting for. His best hope would have been to immediately snap back pointing out that their clams are demonstrably false and questioning their integrity is journalists.
For example: That tripe about reaching out to the city manager in Ohio and him saying that no one filed a police complaint about their pets being killed should have been immediately smacked down with "I'm not interested in police blotter entries, I'm talking about the videos we've all seen on the internet from actual people with their real pets strong up like a butcher shop. Seeing as how you're a journalist, maybe you might want to ask some follow-up questions tomorrow with that city manager about how he explains those videos.".
It's also pretty telling when the live stream I was watching had posts less than 5 minutes later of police audio where people called in the exact complaints that ABC News said they were told hadn't been made. I get that he's not going to have that information available on the stage, but they took a break so I would hope an aide rushed up with the same information and then he could hammer them immediately upon taking the stage again.
People's opinion of the debate would certainly be colored by strong proof that the moderators were biased against one of the candidates being presented live while it's in progress.
There's not much you can do in a "gotcha" situation like they were shooting for.
Sure there is. Refuse to participate anymore. There is absolutely zero reason that anyone on the right should engage with the mainstream media at this point. The fact that the left has effectively been allowed to turn them into a cradle-to-grave indoctrination/propaganda system is frankly - fucking disgusting.
The right needs to focus near 100% of its energy on destroying that propaganda system. Anything short of doing that is dooming our country (just like California) to one party rule by the radical left. It's a death sentence.
Oh to be sure, he shouldn't have agreed to the debate under those rules in the first place, but once you're on the stage walking off is going to look much worse than gutting it out.
I'm of the opinion that he shouldn't have debated Biden a few months ago either, because it pretty obviously was being used as a Democrat screening tool to see if he was fit to run. If he hadn't debated Biden then, they almost certainly would have stuck with him as a candidate and he would have been completely crushed tonight even with softball questions and bogus "fact checks".
I don't even necessarily think Trump did "good" (He got suckered into a few personal jabs that he didn't need to, like the rally attendance comments that he didn't need to care about) so much as this was an all out attack on him. Kamala repeated on loop fictional attacks that have been played and debunked numerous times and it shows me just how desperate her camp is. Muh "Very fine people" and muh "tiki torches" and muh "Jan 6" and muh "I'm peach" party lines that they've tried to stick to him for years. Saying what has been said in patrolled and controlled waters to his face allowed him to effortlessly deflect and point out the faults in those attack ads.

I'm just glad Kamala wasn't smart enough to trigger the huge trap he walked into, and no one seemed to notice. When he called out Biden on the bullshit student loan scam...all she had to say was that it was Trump's party/judges that blocked that. Doesn't matter if they were correct to do so, doesn't matter if it was a huge scam. It would have looked terrible. I was facepalming hard when Trump went on that attack. He was technically correct, but he was handing her a huge potential optical win. Thankfully she passed on it. Because, again, she's a retard, and could only do her preprogrammed responses.
I disagree. The rally thing is an excellent weapon to show just how much she's lying. "30,000 people came to see me in the small town of Butler, PA. No one at home needs your invite, they're coming anyway." would have been a better response.
There is no abortion law in the US that prevents a woman from getting an abortion, particularly under risk of life, after rape, or after incest. No proposed law does this either. Everything she said on abortion was a bold-faced lie, and she wasn't called out on it, even by Trump. Let alone moderators.
Hell, pundits aren't even calling her out on it. They're still defending Trump's statement that Roe v. Wade allowed for 9 month abortions (which it did), which was then reframed by the media as claiming that he said abortions outside of 9 months were happening.
Frankly, you all fell for a massive trap, and are arguing about the wrong things, from the wrong framing, on the wrong topic.
This is why you can't be a reactionary to this shit, and have to be an affirmatory to your own shit.
That “you don’t hate the media enough” meme comes to mind
I post it a lot but it's really not possible to hate them as much as they deserve.
If anyone were to read through my comment history, I'm pretty confident in saying that a lot of people would say I'm doing a pretty good job.
You could combine a thousand Adolf Hitlers together into the Ultrahitler Zord and even he would not be able to produce enough hate for journalists.

Me fr fr yes baseball
a tthis point i could not possibly hate them any more without isising them on live tv.
On live TV you say...... what are you, some kind of journalist?

That’s true regarding what Jesus would think about it
The same thing, if not worse, since child sacrifice was considered a blood offering to Baal, a lesser god. And there were few things that would require immediate death, and immoral blood sacrifices were one of them.
Not a beating, a one-man riot. And according to biblical scholars, he did that twice.
you really don't

Not a bad idea. Also mention the other protests at the Capitol like during Kavanaugh hearings where those ladies were getting into senator’s faces
When she was saying "You Tweeted 'Thankyou President Xi'" and implied the pandemic was worse due to the lack of Chinese transparency, did she not imply the lab leak theory?
I noticed this too, I'm surprised nobody picked up on it. She said they "hid the origins of the virus"... Hmmmmm...
She's right. The federal government didn't listen to the will of the states that voted to secede and invaded and killed them. The CSA never tried or wanted to change the US government.
The people who need to see that, won't. And even if they do, they're simply ignore it like they do everything else.

Usually I hate diversity hires, but every now and then I'm really glad there are diversity hires.
It does feel weird over time when all the attacks on Trump are for things that didn’t actually happen. Pretty dystopian.
"I'm peach"? Oh, "impeach"!
The only morons who believe Trump did anything impeachable--or believe the other bullshit you point out--are already planning on voting for CamelaToe.
I disagree. The rally thing is an excellent weapon to show just how much she's lying. "30,000 people came to see me in the small town of Butler, PA. No one at home needs your invite, they're coming anyway." would have been a better response.
Presstitutes' gonna presstitute.
I didn't even realise it was on.
Let me make some predictions.
Trump waffled and missed opportunities and the debate hosts were on kamalas side?
