The western Christian thinkers (Catholic) spent so much ink on why it was best to defer to authority. Then they all decided that democracy is the best thing since Christ, so long as you vote for the typical neoliberal policies.
If a democracy votes on favor of evil (like Gov Waltz's allowance for late term baby disposal), then it is both evil and tyrannical. What is a non-neoliberal Christian to do? Christ premediated a beating over economic sacrilege, what would have done if he met abortionists?
Good question. According to progressive Christians somehow the Bible condones abortion, homosexuality, and every other far left cause. I would say wise financial knowledge is biblical. They also don’t understand that Christ commands us to help the less fortunate and not use the government to solve poverty.

It never has. The point of my complaint is that, amoral bullshit, is by nature tyrannical. You and I were raised to believe that our democracy was the best thing since Caesar. Would Christ, the incarnate godhead, agree that "abortion is a difficult issue," or would he start binding another whip?
I don't mean to be dickish about this question, but I feel its something to ponder.

The same thing, if not worse, since child sacrifice was considered a blood offering to Baal, a lesser god. And there were few things that would require immediate death, and immoral blood sacrifices were one of them.

That’s true regarding what Jesus would think about it

Not a beating, a one-man riot. And according to biblical scholars, he did that twice.
