This is why I call it the Homeless Industrial Complex
Why people love Housing First and hate all those that oppose it.

From the comments:

The three characteristics are consistent with a far-left agenda that blames all of society's woes on capitalism. Unfortunately, recently Trump, MAGA and leading Republicans have decided to accuse progressive Democrats of being "communists" or "socialists" despite having no facts to support the claims. While the charges are no more true than any of Trump's thousands of other lies, the redbaiting on the right makes it difficult for centrists, especially Democrats, to confront the actual extremists on the left for fear of being discredited.

This is a textbook “centrist democrat”. He acknowledges that his side of the aisle has been hijacked by far left extremists, but then he immediately pivots to calling Trump a liar and the real problem.

Why is Trump a liar? Because he called your side communist without any evidence. Except you just admitted your own side has been overrun with communists.

Why is Trump the problem? Because him “lying” about your side being overrun with communist is preventing you from counteracting the communists who have overrun your side.

This is how retarded moderate democrats have become. These people should be endlessly mocked until they retreat from public life entirely.

The evidence that they're communists and socialists is that they blame capitalism and want to destroy the system.

"Moderate" Democrats are either liars, or useless.

Anyone who even uses the word capitalism at this point is suspect. The only reason someone would even mention it is because they're a Communist.

It's the typical leftist notion that Democrats aren't left enough. His group may be overrun, but Democrats are still sellouts. Which is kinda true.

It's just like how any actual conservative person feels about NeoCons.

There's no such thing as a moderate Democrat. Manchin is the closest approximation of one, and he rubber stamps the agenda 95% of the time instead of 100%. The fact is they would be siding with the Republicans to rein in the lunatics in their camp if their "centrism" and "moderation" were anything more than an act to con gullible retards.

They are political teams, not ideological groups. That's why Manchin still is one. They don't care what he thinks, except on the margins, because as you point out they get 95% of his vote.

Its super indicative of their mindset too.

They are so deep in the rabbithole that they cannot even fathom having to be on the Right. The shame and persecution they think will follow is stronger than any principle they have. They believe the Right can offer no use or value to any problem and how dare they even pretend they can.

Their brain is so MSM rotted they believe every stereotype about the Right to be true, but have just the tiniest inkling of shame about their own side have "some issues" they want to address.

I suspect it's less the inability to see the Right as having some valid positions and more about how viciously their social circle will turn on them if they don't espouse all the approved opinions.

I've met a lot of milquetoast Left-leaners who are so lost in the "stereotypical right winger" that it precludes any other idea.

The notion that because The Right is racist/sexist/homo-haters and therefore evil, anything they say must be a front to do evil things and trick them rather than having any other principle.

Its one of the most effect narratives the Left has pushed. Because even the Right itself falls for it. Its why they spend all day trying to push blacks and womens and gays to the forefront to prove they totally aren't that way.

This perfectly describes all Democrats around me. They all claim to be moderate and reasonable but are either leftist chaos agents or retarded puppets. Heard one the other day basically blaming Trump for Biden and "these last 8 years of clown world".

Trump is an actual moderate centrist.

The only ones I really know are feminists who are put off by Trump's brash attitude and loose association with the truth.

What I don't know are these Log Cabin type Republican men who hate Trump. Every man I talk to seems to give him credit for some things while finding him wanting as a President. Most men just aren't repelled by Trump's bravado in the same way as most women. Then you see them in the news. They are gay I guess. They are mad at Trump. IDK.

As someone who's done security for homeless shelters, the only solution that will work is a rule 2 violation. The organizations that claim to help just perpetuate the problem, and the homeless themselves are evil. Every time one of them dies from an OD or a bum fight the world becomes a better place. If we're going to waste ungodly amounts of money either way I'd rather "hide the problem" as he puts it. They can drug themselves to death and productive people can have a higher quality of life.

I volunteered to do church charity dinners for the homeless years ago. Let me chime something in:

About 80-85% of those people want to be homeless. They've got free housing, free food, they all have fucking iPhones, nobody bothers them, and they substitute cheap drugs for everything about life that you or I would find lacking in that "lifestyle." These bleeding heart efforts are the infrastructure that enables them to live this way and they milk it for all its worth.

The remaining 15-20% are actual human beings who got fucked, usually through little fault of their own. Bankrupted by a medical bill and the mortgage foreclosed. Surprise layoff right as the car broke down. Catastrophic divorce that took everything but the shirt off his back. These people were almost never around for more than 1-2 months. They used the charity service as a springboard to get their shit together and re-launched their lives ASAP. They go from the shelter and panhandling to a cheap hotel and a shower for job interviews to their first paycheck and a cheap room rented, in record time. Most of them are living normally again in less than a year.

Here's one of the biggest redpills I ever got in my life. The dinner had a small dessert table but the rule was that you had to turn in a clean plate to go to it, meaning you ate the free food and were still hungry. I watched a "homeless" mother and daughter, both black and both well over 300lbs each, get their plates of food, sneak over to the trashcan, and scrape the food off into the garbage without so much as picking at it. Then waddle up and turn the plates in to get cheesecake.

This narrative is pushed all over the communist sphere in places like Reddit. you always see things like “almost all of the homeless are just people who lost their job, their car broke down, they are just like you and you could be next.” Uh, just no. There is a mountain of difference between most of the homeless I see who being locked in asylum is the compassionate thing to do, and me and normal people.

Someone who lost everything from bacd luck but has a half-decent moral character, a brain, and dosen't do drugs, can apply for wellfare, go to a food bank, and have basic necessities covered.

Now if the instant the cash drops to the account, purshases of alchool, luxury junkfood, cigarettes and drugs start, yeah you'll be in trouble constantly. By your own actions.

I have little sympathy for wellfare crocodile tears. I've been lied-to way too much by the media and activists to believe them on the subject.

I'm poor, but not on wellfare. I carefully check for grocery rebates, don't waste a dime on alchool/smokes/drugs, haven't seen a dentist in a decade and my glasses will be old enough to vote soon.

Wellfare crybabies piss me off so much.

If I woke up tomorrow morning and my job and everything I owned except the clothes on my back were gone, I still wouldn't sleep on the street that night. I'd walk to a friends house where at the very least I'd be offered a couch to sleep, because they know I'd be doing everything I can to be gone as quickly as possible, that I wouldn't bring drugs into their house, that I wouldn't harm their children, and that I wouldn't escape one night with all of their things.

So I question the character of any allegedly good person living on the streets as to why they've made so little of a good impact to the people around them that they'd be allowed to live on the streets.

Thanks for reminding me what open borders did to the West social security net.

Where I live, you can register your adress at many social service points like homeless shelters to be eligible for wellfare or employment.

I honestly feel like those people just cannot be left alone, they NEED a guardian to even function, why give them money anyways if they use it for crack, meth, alcohol or whatever is the rage now. They will NEVER fix their issues on their own and because of that there will always be homeless. There's people who can be helped but it's not the majority and not even a big minority, its a very, very small minority that can be fixed that way. Others are just entirely broken and better off if they OD.

It sounds cruel but is the sad reality we live in.

Yes. They need to be institutionalized. It worked in the past and it can work again if people stopped dicking around like there's some new fangled solution out there.

They want to perpetuate the homeless while acting like they saved the world? Oh, and keep a ton of money for themselves? I had no idea that any Charity would do this, ever. I've never seen it before in my life.

Wait sorry, it's so common it's a joke. Either they're convinced that they're helping, or pocketing the money. There are organizations that help, but you've never heard of them. Even if you have, it's more like you heard of their religion, not their charity.

For homeless, it's admitting there is a societal difference. You could read books by Arthur Conan Doyle and have an accurate account of the problems today. It's nothing new. Most want to be homeless. I know IT guys like that. Seriously, they program and do everything from a tent. They like this lifestyle.

For refugees and most immigrants it's just teaching them the basics of survival in the US. I used to teach little old ladies how to get through an American Grocery store because they were completely lost. They wanted to make a common dish, and didn't realize it was expensive here. Simple stuff like that saves a lot of problems later. Teaching everyone how the toilets work will save tons of plumbing problems. But most people want to buy them new cars, and stuff they have no use for. They need to know about the Madonna effect not the newest iPhone.
