They want to perpetuate the homeless while acting like they saved the world? Oh, and keep a ton of money for themselves? I had no idea that any Charity would do this, ever. I've never seen it before in my life.
Wait sorry, it's so common it's a joke. Either they're convinced that they're helping, or pocketing the money. There are organizations that help, but you've never heard of them. Even if you have, it's more like you heard of their religion, not their charity.
For homeless, it's admitting there is a societal difference. You could read books by Arthur Conan Doyle and have an accurate account of the problems today. It's nothing new. Most want to be homeless. I know IT guys like that. Seriously, they program and do everything from a tent. They like this lifestyle.
For refugees and most immigrants it's just teaching them the basics of survival in the US. I used to teach little old ladies how to get through an American Grocery store because they were completely lost. They wanted to make a common dish, and didn't realize it was expensive here. Simple stuff like that saves a lot of problems later. Teaching everyone how the toilets work will save tons of plumbing problems. But most people want to buy them new cars, and stuff they have no use for. They need to know about the Madonna effect not the newest iPhone.
