I'm surprised he's lived this long honestly. I figured he'd be suicided or another inmate would accidentally trip and fall into a guard, grab the guards gun to break his fall, have it misfire into Chauvins head, and then be given early release for good behavior.
If you don't mind I'll add to your sentiment. Him being alive is more distressing to any who might question the government. You can't kill him he's the goose laying golden eggs
They almost successfully locked up Kyle Rittenhouse, who did even less wrong.
Out justice system is an absolute joke.
You can like or hate Chauvin or what he did, his imprisonment is obviously political, the scales are and were weighed heavily against him, and he never stood a chance.
And the people (us all included) stand by and let it happen. They'll let the worst criminals out, while they lock up political prisoners and let them be abused terribly. It's not sustainable.
And the people (us all included) stand by and let it happen.
The police were all happy to stand by and watch as cities burned in 2020. I won't lift a finger for any of them. They have been pushing for "us vs them" for my entire life, so they can have their wish. Fuck em.
I'm not saying "Back the Blue," I'm saying tolerating people being made political prisoners is bad. But I take your point.
Derek Chauvin could have been any of us. The fact he's a cop is irrelevant...just look at Daniel Penny. Or the storeowners who defend themselves. Or the J6 protestors.
Heck, even look at almost anyone - innocent or guilty - who faces federal charges; there's no fairness there. You basically can't beat the feds. If they ever tell you you've done something wrong...get a good lawyer who can negotiate a deal saying you didn't do things as wrong as the feds say, but that you're a bad boy and you're very, very sorry.
I don't disagree. But the police are also partially responsible for it being a joke. Those political prisoners wouldn't be where they are without the police charging them in the first place. Their whole attitude of "let the courts sort it out" is a big part of the problem.
"Not my problem" is how the parasites get a hold of a system. We've all seen the Leftists dig in to any and every foothold they could manage, and slowly poisoned the nice world we had going for us with people who make everything their problem. Cops disconnecting themselves from the "justice" portion of the justice system because they didn't care enough is the thin end of a very big wedge. Here we are at the end of it.

It is relevant because it's the thing that got him there. Once he was there it was self defense. He got screwed due to being a police officer. My particular feelings about zogbots don't really come into play here. It was a miscarriage of justice.
Not just yours. At least you have a jury system, which is both a blessing and a curse - at their best, they are much better than bench trials, and at their worst they are way worse.
They'll let the worst criminals out, while they lock up political prisoners and let them be abused terribly. It's not sustainable.
Oh, but it is. It's Leninism 101. Not that they are Leninists, but opposition to the regime is the only real crime there is.
Fascinating. To point out the obvious, you're here. It must not be that bad. You're not saying: hey, how great that you created something that the guy who hates you the most thinks it's worth to spend his time here, you're complaining about the one thing that isn't entirely to your taste.
It's your right to complain about it, but if you had your way and glowing was freely permitted... you wouldn't be here because the place wouldn't be here.
As usual, you lie like breathing. I haven't expressed any "way", other than pointing out that double standards and subjective enforcement are bad. Oh and pointing out that there is no reason to transplant rules directly from reddit absence an ulterior motive.
Further evidence of process is punishment and demonstration of evil.
Chauvin said he no longer has the copies or the originals and has no idea if or when he will get them back.
[...]
Meanwhile, a federal judge ruled that John Turscak — the prisoner and former gang member who brutally attacked and repeatedly stabbed Chauvin — will have access to legal documents in his prison cell. U.S. Magistrate Judge Lynnette C. Kimmins also ruled[...]
In what seems like a strange setback — and an offender/victim double standard — Chauvin is being held in solitary confinement. He does not have any access to his files or legal documents, making it more difficult to move forward with his latest appeal — the one he was working on in the law library when he was stabbed by Turscak.
They deleted the old police training manual with the knee restraint, but there are copies. The police chief lied under oath and all the evidence was suppressed. By any rational standard he would get a new trial at minimum. They can't ever let him get out so they have to kill him.
If you needed an example of a political prisoner you have one right here.
I'm surprised he's lived this long honestly. I figured he'd be suicided or another inmate would accidentally trip and fall into a guard, grab the guards gun to break his fall, have it misfire into Chauvins head, and then be given early release for good behavior.
For all we know he may actually be dead and the story is a lie to instil hopelessness.
They'll make him a martyr if they take him out.
But if they make him suffer, prolonged, like they're doing with the wikileaks founder, no one will ever do what he did again, knowing what's coming.
The strength of someone's conviction can only go so far when the entire system revolves around punishing those that upset the old farts in charge.
a martyr to who? to the masses of people that are marching campaigning for his release?
If you don't mind I'll add to your sentiment. Him being alive is more distressing to any who might question the government. You can't kill him he's the goose laying golden eggs
The whole plot of "St Floyd" by netflix.
There's no benefit in suiciding him. Continuing to live does the regime no harm.

If Rittenhouse had a lefty judge I believe he would’ve been in jail. If Chauvin ever gets out I hope he sues media outlets and politicians.

The officers need their pensions to vest. Lisa needs braces. Please understand.
They didn’t just stand by, that would be bad enough, but they got on their fucking knees and bowed before BLM.
Then they trampled and choked the lockdown protests with glee. Slamming heads against concrete with near impunity.
Their ranks have been purged of everyone who didn’t want the vax and didn’t go along with the madness.
Why would I back the blue now?
Not just yours. At least you have a jury system, which is both a blessing and a curse - at their best, they are much better than bench trials, and at their worst they are way worse.

Which is unironically how this sub is governed thanks to you.
What did I do now?
Most recently, feign ignorance.

AoV isn't even a mod here you mongoloid
I missed any mention of 'double standards and subjective enforcement'.

Can anyone point me in the direction of this training manual? Tried to find it before but failed.
You can find parts of it from later court filings in articles like these:

I don't know if the full version is available somewhere.
You'd have to ask his mom for her copy
Probably the first time his attacker ever stepped foot inside a library.
"Cop winds up on the wrong end of usual cop shenanigans". I wonder if they used a phone book for nostalgia.
