Some leftists are so urbanized that they genuinely don't understand why truckers even exist, but I think most of them do understand, even just through osmosis, that they need truck drivers, and that the economy and their whole ivory-tower world would fall apart without blue-collar guys and tradesmen. The fact that guys who work in those jobs see the world very differently from the leftists makes the leftists resent that they need them, which leads to hate. All very adolescent.

It's a vehicle that is emblematic of taking more than your fair share. Your giant truck doesn't fit in the lane on a country road, forcing others to swerve out of the way. It takes up two parking spaces. It's so tall and lifted that it bypasses crumple zones on a normal vehicle. When you get in an accident with a family sedan, you'll kill everyone inside. You've modified the engine to "roll coal" and fill the air with noxious fumes - because I guess breathing is for "libtards". It's individual rights used as cudgel to take from others.

It weirds me out that a giant white truck is somehow the sign of the most aggressively stupid drivers I have ever seen. The best amateur cook I know is a man who drives a pickup truck. Real men do not shy away from necessary tasks because they think it's for women. They do however outsource tasks like cooking to women, for example as part of raising a family.
Lefties hate trucks because they are so urban they have never done anything that might benefit from the use of one. I don't currently have a truck, but I have and I often used the utility of it for anything from something for my house to haul a bunch of skis and stuff with friends. The only thing I didn't love is they are just so unnecessarily huge now. If I get another truck I want a smaller one so it's not such a pain in the ass for day to day use.
