Did people see this?
I really enjoyed the first Spiderverse film and went into this thinking it will be good but man ... the movie really craps on Peter Parker. We have black spidermen and black spiderwomen and fat women spiderwomen and fat black women spiderwomen and shaved head spiderwomen ...
Anyone but Peter Parker except a small showing by the one from the last film at the end. And the entire movie is about how Miles is an "anomaly" and it should have been Pete in his universe as well. Just shoving down our throat how Peter Parker shouldn't be Spiderman.
Not to mention all the #BLM, trans lives matter, crapping on capitalism, etc in the background ... like it's all so tiring. I hate it.
What part of Peter Parker being a failure of a man in the first movie wasn't an indication that they were destroying his character?
White male, unemployed, doesn't bathe, lazy, fat, sleeps on the floor like a hobo, doesn't cook for himself, has bad manners for everything, is cynical, arrogant, selfish, failed his wife, has no will to change, does nothing to be a better man than he is, just lets the dirty environment consume his existence.
See what i'm talking about?.
Peter Parker, no matter what universe you put him in, no matter how hard life gets for him, he's a winner, a genius, he would never let himself get put in that position...that "no matter what you do nothing is going to change" mentality, that's the real point they really want to get across with his character, that message is for you. (particularly white young men)
You are presented with the black boy woke symbolized in a positive light, and you are presented with the old white man as everything that is wrong... even in the way the lighting is used in Miles and Peter's homes, everything was calculated to feel disgusted with Peter.
So for me, I don't see anything surprising in this movie, it's what they have been doing not only to his character, but to all the characters that defended western values and morals in America.
This is the purpose of any "multiverse" to take something that people actually like and pollute it with alternate versions that are still "lore accurate" even though it completely destroys the reason people liked it in the first place.
IT used to be a way to make up new stories that used existing characters, but absolutely didn't fit the lore. Goofy stuff like Batman as a pirate or Punisher getting the Venom symbiote. The kind of crazy stuff that could do well, but would cause too many issues with the lore if it was part of the "official" story line.
The problem is that modern writers are lazy and incompetent.
Yes, exactly. There used to be some great Elseworlds stories, like Superman: Red Son, exploring "what if Kal-El landed in the Soviet Union?" or Batman: In Darkest Knight, asking "What if Bruce Wayne got the Green Lantern ring instead of Hal Jordan?" That last one is the source of that old "Overpowered" demotivational poster meme you've probably seen.
But this? This is crap, meant only to say "step aside, whitey, the REAL stars of the show are here!"
Always remember:
Peter Parker is Spider-Man.
Miles Morales is Miles Morales.
Not always. I think DC handles their multiverse better. But if it’s marvel it’s guaranteed to be to destroy the original characters
This is a good analysis. Rarely is anything unintentional in movie production, especially something with this much cultural influence and activist interest behind it. Somebody was making decisions about every little detail, and their motivations aren't a mystery - they'll shout them as loudly and as often as they can.
Now I want to see a movie about this version of Spiderman facing off against the Jordan Peterson Red Skull, lol
Az (HeelsVsBabyface) had a good comment in the FridayNightTights going on right now:
"They're afraid. If they start showing Peter being the great Spiderman everyone knows he's supposed to be, people are going to want to see him more than all the others (Miles, Gwen, pregnant bitch), and they know it. That scares them."
I pretty much assumed this would happen. Plus considering the state of comics no surprise. Reminds me of what Eric July said when he said modern day comic books are written for 14 year old girls on tumblr who don’t read comics
As they say "Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Miles Morales is Miles Morales." They can't exclude Peter so they have to make him so handicapped that of course the other characters aren't overshadowed by him by default.
Haha no.
The trans lives matter or whatever it was flag that made it in to the first trailer was all you should’ve needed.
More Miles Morales was enough to keep me away.
Yeah, I could sit through the first one because I enjoyed the animation (and someone gifted it to me), but the story was painful.
Miles/Peter's arc was literally "You're good: believe in yourself". Gwen had no purpose other than to girl boss and be a romantic partner for Miles (something the feminists happened to not notice, just as we're supposed to not notice yet another example of Hollywood pushing mycegination). The others were cardboard characatures.
The only interesting character was Kingpin: the supervillain destroyed by the loss of the family that he loved. But they did nothing with it; instead of exploring the obvious parallels between this and the death of Uncle Ben, they just went "sucks to be evil, lol".
I really don't get who went back for more.
Gonna be blunt, but what did you expect OP? This is the trend of modern Hollywood: Make a good first movie/season with little to no ideological push that isn't already established as mainstream. Load the ideological pushes in the sequel to inflate sales numbers and associate with the ideology because "clearly people do actually like the ideology, just look at the sales on this movie that has the ideology all over it!".
It's all a fucking push to convince disconnected executive types that this is what is actually popular and they should invest more money into the degenerate virtue signalling, believing that the more exposure this gets, the more normalised it will get. And to a certain extent, they're not wrong, more and more people will become jaded and accept that this is par for the course, even if they don't agree with it.
At least Sonic is safe this time
Woke cannot tell a story, other than their own story. Their own story is usually boring and smelly and dumb. But during the holey month of Ramadude, it creeps around in the night, to mutilate kids...
Yay.
Does Gwen burn the coal?
Did anyone have any doubts about that?
That was the intention from the beginning, again, if you notice the pattern, that what they have been doing from decades and decades now.
When the normies start to notice, they will change it to White dudes with mixed black women,
Just wait and see, if they have not already started.
Yeaaaap ... she is all in love with Miles now ...
Disgusting stuff then I see. I still think the best we got was with tobey maguire, anything after I checked a bit but didn't like.
Like a full blown kiss or worse? Because I have no intention of watching this thing.
Fucking power plant Gwen.
Yeah, disgusting whore.
You paid to see that shit? lulz
as someone points out.. red head/blondes get blacked either way lol. if red head/blondes get replaced with black female, UNLESS the male protagonist is black/brown, then the red head/blonde stays.
some next level cuckery here.
I would've lost interest when I saw a video about a tranny flag in this movie, but I'd already lost interest in Sony a while ago.
I figured it would be that way. Amazing Spider-Man and Action Comics were the last two comic books that I would buy each month until I gave up on newer comics all together. I even read ultimate comics back in the day and enjoyed Miles back then. I have his first appearance but now I’m in the process of selling it. I figured this Spiderverse would be the way you described. They want to replace Peter Parker. Having a thousand spider people is dumb
It's dumb that they aren't pretty much all Peter Parker (or mostly villains).
The whole point of Uncle Ben dying was it caused traumatic pain and filled Peter with a sense of justice. It's heavily implied, especially in the movies, that he would have used his powers selfishly if not for Ben's influence.
If some other chucklehead had been bitten, they would likely have turned into a villain, which means most of the non-Peter Spidermans should have been villains. Spiderman came about because of an unlikely series of events, so to say that every universe, no matter how different, would just produce a heroic Spiderman automatically because reasons, is lazy.
Or, even more likely, they would mostly be Peter, but versions of him that made different choices. They did that in the finale of the 90s animated series and it was a good way to put Peter's choices in context, rather than doubting everything he had done to that point.
But we all know exactly what they're doing. They're killing Peter Parker off (or making him into a doughy loser who gives up). If there are other heroic Spidermans in the multiverse, the most likely explanation is that the original Spiderman died and was replaced by a copycat (which is explicitely what happened in the case of both Miles and Gwen).
It's demoralizational propaganda against white males, period. They aren't getting more "representation" for POCs, they're literally afirmative actioning Spiderman by replacing him with people of a more acceptable complexion or genitals, rather than creating new characters (Safespace and Snowflake, anyone?)
Peter Parker has shown to be a box office draw. Pushing these spider characters won’t be in the long run. To this day I love reading older Spider-Man comics. Especially the ones written by Lee.
As for making new characters…. They simply can’t. I gave up trying to ask why they can’t make original characters. This is typical of SJWs. They have zero creativity so they latch onto the work of better writers. I could at least respect them a little if they created original characters. But they don’t want to put in the work it takes. They create a race or gender swapped character and the media shills will dawn all over them. And you are right about the white make hatred. You see it in so many hobbies due to infestation
My only takeaway from the movie was that apparently white people are a minority in the Spider-verse.

I mean I didn't even watch the first one but the trailer for this one already screamed niggerfaggots.
Why be upset about something you help fund? It's not necessary to your day-to-day living and there's a million other forms of entertainment.
Sorry to be that guy, but you really can't complain when you're supporting it.
I once ate at a restaurant, paid for my food, and only once I sat down did I see a random sign prop saying they were helping support The Trevor Project.
I never went there again...but I'd already paid for the food. I still feel icky about that.
For the record, it was a Mod Pizza.
More like:
I once saw a restaurant that had BLM and LGBQRST flags in the window and flyers for drag queen baby bathing workshops, and I really wanted a burger, so I went in and they charged me more because I was only in two protected classes and the minimum was four. Has anyone else eaten there?
