Good, this is the exact push I said local governments should have been doing a while ago. Make them register as adult entertainment just like a strip club, make them card everyone, and pull their liquor license and make them reapply under those new registrations.

Don't forget making them do a background check on every person in attendance at these events.

Once they force that none of these 'drag queens' can show up because almost every one has a criminal record.

Not only that but a criminal record specifically landing them on the sex offenders registry.

A Right wing politician who actually fights the culture war in a meaningful way with real consequences? Who doesn't just talk about doing shit, but actually does shit? Sign me the fuck up.

Meanwhile Trump is going out and saying Democrat lizard person Charlie Crist was a better governor than DeSantis.

His handling of Disney has been imperfect, but I still think he's been strong.

What was imperfect about it? At least according to Legal Mindset (who’s area of expertise is Florida Special District law), DeSantis pretty much did everything he could have to Disney, and didn’t really miss any beats.

New supervisory board but same priorities. Tax exemption and other benefits over potential competitors.

If you are talking about things like exceptions to sales and property taxes, that is stuff the all Special Districts get, not just Disney. They are just hoping you don’t know that. Andrew lined it all out here.

I'll have a look, but there are special district perks unique to Disney. It can create public utilities, like a water treatment plant and sewage system, or build an airport without state intervention or the usual bureaucracy. Not all special districts can do that, nor can they impose on neighbouring land through eminent domain. I'm not sure about tax exemption, but certainly the magnitude is unique. Furthermore, several direct competitors are not part of special districts at all.

Just from what I have learned from Andrew:

It can create public utilities, like a water treatment plant and sewage system

So can all Special Districts. The entire point is that a Special District is supposed to handle the public side of private areas like that. That Reedy Creek and Disney were effectively the same group where one hand washed the other was actually illegal, its just that no one really cared. At least until Disney stuck their cock in the beehive and pissed of the Florida Government by trying to imply it would make them do Disney's will.

or build an airport without state intervention or the usual bureaucracy.

They used to be able to. That was one of the abilities they lost when the District was reorganized after being seized by Florida. In fact, now Disney World is going to be getting a special tax charging it directly for the infrastructure used to support it (like the actual Orlando airport.

nor can they impose on neighbouring land through eminent domain.

Another one they lost with the reorganization. Now it has to be approved by the oversight board, and that board is picked by the State of Florida (since the district covers multiple counties).

I'm not sure about tax exemption, but certainly the magnitude is unique.

Because the scale of Disney World is unique. But they are going to get dinged for it other other places, like the aforementioned infrastructure tax, and the Disney Brand Name being used as a value when assessing the district for taxing purposes (which Disney had wiggled out of before).

Furthermore, several direct competitors are not part of special districts at all.

That would be their problem in this case. Anything in Florida could become a special district, all it takes is paying the fees and paperwork. Plus their biggest rivals (like Universal Orlando and Busch Gardens) are special districts. So now Disney is having to play ball with them instead of just doing its own thing.

I am not saying you are a bad person for believing wrong information. Just like how he pointed out several people who he likes and agrees with a lot not knowing what they are talking about in the video (like Robert Barnes). But as Andrew pointed out, some of those special district contracts are ones he wrote, so he actually knows what he is talking about one the subject.

I swear, every time I start to swing more towards Trump in the Trump/DeSantis rivalry, Trump has to go and say something to F it all up.

My frustration with Trump has no end. DeSantis hasn't even announced that he's running. Trump should be hitching his train to the DeSantis horse, talking about how happy he is to live in a state run by a great governor. I don't think DeSantis was even seriously planning to run against Trump at the start, but this stupid rivalry, first pushed by the media, but then by Trump himself may change that.

All makes me wonder if Trump knows something we don't.

I don't really care, I figure DeSantis is probably smart to just ignore the shit talking, but it'd be even better if he came out and actually supported Trump after the guy basically made is political career. It'd show loyalty and make it a lot easier to trust him in the future.

All he has to do is fucking wait his turn and run in '28 and President Trump would probably endorse him to be his successor. But he is being paid handsomely to run right now.

Ok let's imagine DeSantis does this and Trump becomes the nominee in 2024 and he loses in 2024 to Biden.

Trump 2024ers will then tell us that it is still Trump's turn in 2028 and that Ron must wait for 2032. You guys will keep pushing Trump until he is dead of old age. Then you will pivot to pushing the even more obnoxious Kari Lake after Trump passes away.

Fuck waiting for a turn and fuck asking for your permission to run.

DeSantis should run in 2024 and we will let the people decide instead.

Trump hired people like Bolton, Wray, Adams and Pence.

This is not a man who has incredible Intel on anyone.

Trump attacks DeSantis with bullshit accusations for one reason. DeSantis is the biggest obstacle to winning the primary.

Trump deserves no loyalty when he himself is not loyal to his earliest supporters. He endorsed Mastriano in PA over Barletta because Mastriano yelled stolen election way more.

That was disgraceful.

This is not a man who values loyalty. This is a man who expects loyalty from other people but will never practice it

Loyalty is for your family and your country's Constitution not to an arrogant 78 year old.

Don't forget "White Rage" Milley who Trump appointed over the objection of the Sec Def. Also, Nikki Haley who is as establishment neocon as the men you listed.

Trump deserves no loyalty when he himself is not loyal to his earliest supporters.

Trump threw the J6 protesters under the bus, supposedly because he feared a Senate conviction following his second impeachment. Those people were his most loyal supporters and he let them all twist in the breeze. He should have instead pardoned them all on his way out of office.

Much more frustrating is his mimicking the leftist tendency to ascribe every view or position that people have a reductive label with the "er" suffix. "Trumpers" "Trump2024ers" Even if I didn't already recognize his username as someone who incessantly shills for DeSantis (whom I like, but please give it a rest), I would not be rushing into a discussion with someone who talks like that.

The group we call Trump supporters is much different than the smaller group of Trump 2024ers that we find online.

Trump supporters generally like both Trump and DeSantis but just happen to prefer one candidate over the other for 2024. Trump supporters and DeSantis supporters easily get along.

On the other hand online Trump 2024ers just vehemently hate DeSantis because some of us don't want to run Trump again.

Online Trump 2024ers are being too aggressively obnoxious and they are doing a disservice to their cause by emulating Trump and constantly using childish nicknames to denigrate all those that disagree with them.

The fact that he's still surrounded by the same quislings that subverted and knifed him during his previous administration is the reason I'm not supporting him.

Once could be considered a mistake. Continuing it means he's either an idiot or compromised.

Good lord there’s a lot of DeSantis shills/bots on this sub astroturfing posts like this with upvotes now. As if Trump is someone you can honestly define as someone that was all talk and no action. Trump got more done than any president in many many decades, including dragging DeSantis across the finish line in his election against a literal coke head. You’re not going to gaslight anyone with a functioning brain on this.

Effective use of bureaucracy to hurt these degenerates, nice. If every Red state does this it'll probably drive more of the left out because most of them wilt under the tiniest of resistance.

The problem is that red states don't stick together. Member how they hung out Indiana and North Carolina out to dry when corporate thugs started bullying these states?

They should all have followed with similar laws. Let the corporate thugs boycott half their country - that alone would dissipate the effect.

The current deluge of anti-transgender nonsense is more effective because it is being advanced in many places at once, which prevents them from achieving a concentration of force.

Have you considered that nobody (other than women) cares about women's spaces other than sad plants on the right

Anyone who doesn't want convicted sex offenders swinging their dicks around in the women's showers with kids around is a "sad plant". Got it.

That war on women bit was absolute garbage. Probably his worst ever speech.

I wouldn't expect you to say anything else.

It deserved the fact checkers' wrath

For what specifically?

Why would any sane person tank their state's economy for the applause of people who vote solidly Democrat and have done for decades?

Come again? Where did "tanking the state's economy" enter the picture?

This child grooming drag queen show has been making it's rounds in various cities around Florida.

So, pardon the expression, DeSantis, stop being a cock tease and go the distance. Don't just revoke a liquor license from one venue. Padlock all of them. Arrest organizers.

You can do this, I believe in you, and you'll have the support of anyone with a brain.

he already hit at least 3 venues. some gay bar in tampa and an orchestra spot in orlando.

what he really needs to do is get the 4chan/pol level autists who background checked every fucking member of that SF fag choir, found over 70% were registered sex offenders... then do the same thing with these drag groups that allow "all ages". then arrest them for violation of their sex offender registration limits. put them in fucking prison.

child sex offenders get it the worst in prison. once one is re-arrested, they rarely even run their cases, because they are brutally beaten in prison all the time. even convicted felons look down on sex offenders.
