Fuck that, bring back the Grimm versions where the Step Sisters carve up their feet like a Christmas ham to make it fit in the slipper and birds end up eating their eyes.
Once again proving that keeping physical media is important, even for freaking children's books now apparently(but then again, they did censor Charlie and the chocolate factory). Keep physical media of things you love and if you cannot pirate the shit out of it. It's the only way to keep stuff you enjoy.
I've been on a book buying spree lately. Lots of classics. You can get quality hardcover prints for very reasonable prices. Last round was the Grimm Brothers, Aesop's Fables, Mark Twain's complete works, and The Iliad/The Odyssey.
Nothing that I'm currently reading; just stuff that I'd rather have permanent copies of for when the inevitable cultural defacement happens.
I had these books when I was a girl, and poured over them for many years. The illustrations are superb. My favorite stories were the Little Match Girl and The Ice Queen, I bought a set of these books for my kids when they were young and again for the grandkids, they were still in print. Hardcover, highly recommend.
you know.. the only thing that can solve this snowflake, sensitive bullshit tranny stuff is literally WW3. When everyone around you is fucking blowing up artillery or being shot... no time to worry about "sensitivity" stuff.
Goosebumps is also getting this treatment. But that ones the author doing it "voluntary" 2023 the year of Toxic chemicals and treating Fahrenheit 451 like a damn instruction manual.
To be clear, when I said u/TheImpossible1 had a bad take, the part I was referring to is the idea that censorship is a 'win' just because it doesn't affect (many) men.
But that is actually a good point; plenty of men also have children. Which, speaking of...most women aren't reading children's books on their own either. These are books for children...which affects both boys and girls.
But also...yes, don't fairy-shame me, bigot! Thanks for having my back in this trying and emotional time. I was literally shaking after that brutal attack.
Come on, you're not even parodying me right. You should have said I'd say it because they'll grow up and want to kill a man. It's more similar to things I've actually said.
I have the first edition Grimm's Fairytales on my shelves, along with Hans Christian Andersons fairy tales and some Polish collections because I think that folk-art and folk-tales are important and that reading and exposing yourself to a wide array of literature is necessary for developing an accurate understanding of culture and the world.

Also Dr Seuss, last year… #neverforgetneverforgive 🙏🏻
"sensitivity readers" belong on a cross.
St. Andrew's style.
You mean a woodworker lathe.
Commissars.
I think one of the guys on Timcast nailed it: We're going through a Cultural Revolution here in America.
Even Bill Maher said that.
Problem is, almost everyone just shrugs it off.
It’s not just you guys…
Trust me on this. It’s the entire Anglosphere… 😑

The prince would be a man by nature of being a prince….. these people suck.

The Little Match Girl messed me up, as an X-year-old…
Like, actually…
It is very, very sad. 😔
Damn, I really hope you wrote that because you're a woman now ...
They are censoring The Brothers Grimm?!
You did get an older hard copy of it, if I remember correctly :) So at least you are set
Yep. Bought it over 10 years ago.

Men don't give a shit about them, so this seems like a win. Women attacking their own interests instead of ours for once.
Man, you have some really bad takes sometimes. And this isn't even in the top hundred.
I'm sorry, but no man reads Cinderella. Let them hoist themselves by their own petard.
Bro, are you fairy-shaming u/Kienan for reading Cinderella?
Maybe he has daughters or nieces, or just enjoys reading little girl stories on his own.
Nothing wrong with that.

Yup, agreed. Your thing is the male genocide, not just women being whores. That wasn't a good parody of you.
Cinderella was Walt Disney's favorite fairy tale. Ever.

Censorship is wrong regardless of the target.
Shut your whore fucking mouth you goddamn subversive cunt.
I found the one boy who read Cinderella.
Incorrect. I've read the entire Grimm Brothers collection
