But seriously - it is 100% true that some seeds of sexuality, curiosity about sex, or similar are roiling in the human brain from a surprisingly early age. It’s natural. The place where this dude (and his ideological allies) are wrong is in their apparent belief that adults, especially unrelated adults, should have a guiding or even participatory place in these early explorations of sexuality. The kids’ parents can make some decisions about what kind of TV, movies, etc they want their kids to see at what age when it comes to sexual content, at what age to have what discussions about sex and health, etc. BUT THAT’S IT. I’m only 30 and I still had to bring a long permission form home to get signed before a teacher could teach me anything in sex ed barely 15 years ago. Now apparently teachers think they should be guides and/or participants in their students’ sexual development right from the get-go, and it’s fucking sick.
