The WEF has been pushing this since at least Feb of 2022. The goal is to remove anything that cannot be remotely controlled, ultimately resulting in the removal of all old gasoline powered cars to control transportation.

Gas isn't amazing because it is energy efficient, it's amazing because unlike an electric stove it can be hooked up to a myriad of different devices like forges or the fact that it is portable and you can simply hook a gas cannister up to literally anything you can conceive of and get pretty good heat for the weight density.
