Australia will soon require a full suite of "Digital Identification" to log in to government services (public healthcare, tax, social services, et al.), which are all already linked to an "online account". Social Credit score is no longer just the domain of China, folks. Bad times ahead. (archive.ph)

I've noticed this sort of... "Trend" a lot, here, in the last few years, with "digital integration" and mandatory smart phone use for everything from my University, to banking, to (for a year and a half) Covid "check in" apps...

It's actually caused me a great deal of trouble, that whole... "You must have an up to date smartphone, and carry it on your person at all times" thing... Like, you can't imagine how many problems that has created.

Now we have governments discussing a permanent digital "vaccine passport", in addition to stuff like in this article. I honestly think we are headed for disaster (even ignoring the dystopian nature of all this, the recent Medibank and Optus hacks surely show that this sort of "integration" is a terrible idea), which governments will justify with arguments of "safety" and "convenience", and the population, as is very apparent by now, will just lap up and more than willingly take up...

Just look at the sheer numbers of people who do everything on their smartphones, from paying "by card" to "tapping on" to public transport to carrying "digital ID"...

Some day soon this house of cards is going to implode. Or maybe not. Maybe we will just march headlong into this full digital dystopian surveillance state, and only then realise the consequences of doing so. That's certainly what the media would like to see happen.

It was certainly revealing the day that I realised I was the only person in my class (at Uni) who could see that this stuff could be "problematic". Most of my classmates were a few years younger than me, but hell, never had I felt so alone, ideologically, as I did that day, lol...

They've also been continuing to try and make pushes to squash end-to-end encryption, in spite of how utterly insane this would be, and not just for your average citizens and IT businesses.

No, he isn't, that's the problem.

If we're busy talking about China, no one needs to hear about how China is actually a jewish colony because Karl Marx met with one jewish communist before seizing power after WW2.

I already know the lecture, because it's been given to me, and it's stupid.

Thatsaltight said:

To be fair, we already do live in a dystopia, but probably to some extent. Even nowadays many people can see that the state of society isn't quite right, but they never blame the cause of many of the ills: materialism/industrialism/capitalism/etc. Even when it came to inter-ethnic crime they blame anything but the very cause of it.

Covok48 correctly pointed put that it's jewish influence that's the predominant drviving force behind this in the West, not China. They have their own influences and agendas, but but they're outsiders. Jews have infiltrated every institution in ways chicoms can never dream to.

The point is that he didn't correctly point out that jewish influence is the driving force behind anything. Like the rest of the antisemites, he is wasting everyone's time deflecting a serious issue toward 'hur dur der joooz', which both illegitimizes everyone in the conversation, and poisons the argument.

It's like having a conversation about physics and having the dog come into the room and shit on the floor.

Once again: China is not a jewish colony. This nonsensical obsession with the secret jewish cabal of totally not white jews because you're angry that you think jews are successful ethno-nats as a race, is the the best kind of weaponized and controlled opposition available.

Australia and Canada may as well just officially declare themselves vassal states of the PRoC, since that's what they are at this point.

Auscunt here. It’s already here and has been for a long time - the thing about a socialist healthcare system is everyone is enrolled by simply existing, everything sits under your “myGov” account, they were nice enough at the start by saying it’s ‘opt in only nothing to worry about’. Until you’re just a part of it by default…

Meh, IMHO there’s a bit of a difference between Medicare (as you describe), and what Magnum here describes, which is what I’m talking about, and which will no doubt soon become obligatory for all of us, company directors or otherwise…

Trust me, I’m no fan of Medicare, or of how much it knows about me, but nonetheless, I’ve managed thus far without it being even linked to MyGov (apparently. I thought it was, but seems it got “unlinked”, subsequently), unlike, say, Centrelink…

I do, however, believe we are headed for a future scenario that is more like you describe, and yes, Medicare is part of that. But the issue is much broader than just… Medicare itself.

What you’re describing is like the “social security number” or “national ID number” that other countries have. Dystopian? Arguably. But the problem is… Bigger than just that, IMO…

If you are a company director here in Australia, there is a defacto digital ID requirement now, effective as at the end of this month. Plus, they are incentivising people to upload their photographs by streamlining the prerequisites and documentary identification evidence required, if you elect the "more secure" option of uploading your digital photo using their phone identity application. Incredible. I have tried multiple times to lodge the application without the photographs and the system does not recognise any documents- presumably by design. I am lodging a paper application now.

Time to apply for asylum in Russia, or maybe Florida

To get into the US just make it to mexico and walk across. Get a tan, dye your hair black, grow a mustache, and answer every question with "no anglais" and CBP will let you stay.

Russia might be a bit tougher but also might be a better long term strategy.

You jest, but this is unironically one interesting problem revealed by the last few years, with living on an isolated island (Australia, New Zealand, anywhere in the Pacific, and, I guess, Iceland... The UK too, to a lesser extent, but they are much, much less isolated) - even now that we can legally leave the country (without being stopped at the airport), flights out of Australia are insane. Just insane. Even East Coast - West Coast flights are like, two months worth of rent, where they are even available... And as I'm sure you know, there are no ferries out, lol...

Thus, the majority of people, excluding the wealthy, are trapped here. Thus, the government knows this, and knows that no one is going to do shit (apathetic population, bipartisan support, recently elected government so they can claim a "mandate"), so they can merrily push whatever measures they want to their heart's content...

If we do become a full-on, openly autocratic state (permanently, unlike during Covid which was "temporary"), the whole being an island thing is going to make this even worse than it might otherwise be....

So yeah. That's one "advantage", I suppose, for people escaping the failed states of that part of the world. Y'all have land borders. People don't, generally speaking, need to stow away on a yacht, or a cruise ship or something, to get out...

Given the whole "prison island" thing, this is, of course, entirely by design, lol...

Especially since Australia is in the middle of nowhere. Can't cobble together a raft and paddle to freedom like Cubans. Also sucks that the closest civilized country is New Zealand, which is just as bad as Australia with this NWO bullshit.

If anything can be taken off your digital identification, it should be done. If that means not getting public health care or social services, then don't use them. I realize the armed robbery of taxes isn't avoidable, but you need to avoid the rest before they use it as a weapon.

Again, this involves pulling your money out of banks and putting it into assets.

Looks like Australia is copying china’s policies :

Australia is the literal definition of a turnkey authoritarian state.

All the mechanisms are in place, all it needs is a leader with the malicious intent to turn the key.

Just wait for the next terrorism attack* and watch Facebook roll out another fake whistleblower Demanding censorship of non-facebook platforms to keep us safe.

They will also demand every non facebook site has to use these digital spy/honeypot devices.

And just like that - Australians will NEVER be allowed free speech again.
