Yeah, I'm sure that's responsible for a 28% drop in sales. Not, you know, increasingly woke and crappy games.
That and their terrible design philosophies. I remember their most recent "underwater" expansion was so imbalanced that for about half of the time it was out two decks (pirate warrior and mech mage) were so broken that even after repeated rounds of nerfs they still had high winrates.
Also their preditory "micro"transactions are a reason why I won't be giving them any money.
I haven't bought a single video game this year because of exactly that reason.

The whales get entertainment stomping and showing off to the free players. If the free players get too frustrated and decide to play 'a better game', the whales will only be playing with other whales which is no fun so they'll move on too.
It made more then anyone expected but a drop in the bucket for Blizzard. They need tp maintain their new player base to continuously dump money in to it to make it relevant from a revenue perspective.
People have been saying that Blizzard is dying for a decade and a half but who knows maybe finally it will end

It's relatively new, let's see how long the whales stay with it; if they can't sustain the user base, then it'll be an utter disappointment to the brand.
Enough that they will keep doing it… I would love to be proven wrong by articles like this but honestly one thing I don’t see is shit like this going away.
I loved Blizzard growing up. Starcraft, Diablo 1 and 2, Warcraft 2 and 3. All absolutely epic games.
Now I love to see Blizzard die. Go woke, go broke. They stopped making great games. I hope they die completely. You love to see it.
I loved Activision back in the day. The Tony Hawk series is played every year by me. Then they went Brown Shooter, and lost me.
I played the shit out of Diablo and Starcraft.

They decided a long time ago that the core audience who supported them was no longer who they cared about. Not only are they refusing to acknowledge that fact and refusing to make things people actually want to play, they've quadrupled down so many times in various aspects it's hard to keep track. I'd like nothing more than for them to shutter forever out of spite after how many beloved franchises they've desecrated through almost a decade of incompetence and greed.
The plandemic has given everyone infinite excuses for everything.

So yeah, obvious long term customer done with them. I can't be the only one. None of this has to do with social justice or wokeness either. It's due to bad product.
Diablo III got much better but it was not a great game. I had more fun with path of exile then Diablo 3. Wow I played for so freaking long and I can't say it was good for me. I still can't believe how addicted I was to that game, I played vanilla, bc, I kind of played a bit of wotlk but had to drop do to real life problems, I returned in MOP, I played WOD and Legion.
I tried BFA but it had to many red flags that it was going in to the wrong direction.
I honestly thought I would be playing wow on and off for the rest of my life but during BFA I just knew I will not be returning.
Overwatch was sort of fun but I was not good at it. I was more old school with CS:GO and BF3
WC3 reforged was an easy cash grab for them but they had to cut corners to the point you were better off playing the original but they did take time to make Arthas like an emo beta looking soy drinker and added female demon hunters that looked like drag queens.
Overall I honestly do not mind if Blizz falls in to irrelevance, let them die. It is just a shell of a company, a name attached to nothing of value.
I really need to start back playing PoE
PoE really needs a way to actually limit the graphics spam.
The game even on lowest settings throws so much random shit to the graphic card that it gets swamped, then dynamic resolution/particles is supposed to lower it resulting in 100% GPU at any framerate and resolution except postage stamp.
I wouldn't care so much about 100% GPU except after playing a while PoE crashes the driver or freezes up the whole system, maybe from overheating or race condition - whatever the cause, it's only PoE that does it. So I just don't play it.
