Yes. When society started questioning, "Who ware we to judge?", this is exactly when society began to fall apart.

Yes and no. Shame never went away, it just changed focused.

If you do not support current leftie thing, you will be shamed and ostracized by society.

Instead of shame being used to promote healthy attitudes, it has warped and now is used to promote unhealthy ones.

One takes effort. The other is just signalling.

It was also very temporary. They destroyed shame for degeneracy, which they like, but then they brought it back for, well, anything that they don't like.

When you are more powerful than I am...

It's always the same problem that they don't know when to stop, then over time they turn into the exact villain they were fighting against.

Nowadays "Who are we to judge?" crowd is that one socially bullying and excluding you for not going along with their vaccine narrative, for not agreeing to a genital mutilation suicide cult ideology, the people who's entire narrative centers around viciously shaming then destroying people. Not even really for the smallest transgression, they are particularly drawn to creating fake trangressions you didn't actually do and destroying you based on them.

One might be confused because they constant cluck on as an opener "we are accepting of all people" right before shitting on literally every person who doesn't 100% agree with them, ,then going after a few innocents just for good measure.

I’m a firm supporter of shame. I can’t think of many things we shamed people for that weren’t productive. Bullying is another thing, but shame seems mostly just great.

Too fat? Shame. Then you feel bad and you lose weight.

Too dumb? Shame. Then you try harder and build yourself up.

A slut? Shame. Then you dress better and find a better guy and make babies you raise to not be sluts.

The main benefit of shame would seem to be for the people not doing the thing. Who would even try to pull the trans card if they knew they’d be shamed if they did? Not that anyone thought they’d have to shame something retarded like that.

I think the push against shame was largely supported by the idea that people were being shamed for things they couldn't change (like genetically low IQ) but came to encompass shame for things people could and should change (like being lazy).

You've literally described the body positivity movement; a social effort to remove the stigmatisation or normalise people with deformities/abnormalities like missing limbs, scarring etc, turned into ACCEPT THE CORPULENT LARD GOLEM AS BEAUTIFUL AND HEALTHY.

The 2nd argument they used was "fat shaming makes me depressed so I eat more and get worse", but to that I say it stops more thin people from wanting to become like you. Nobody was signing up to Onlyfans to sell pictures of their butthole to internet simps when they risked being a social pariah if anyone found out. Some did, but shame kept the vast majority from even considering it as an option. Now girls need to find reasons not to sell themselves since they grow up thinking it's acceptable.

I can see that. I’d never shame someone for being short, or missing a limb, or something. It’s not like they can grow taller. Seems appropriate to shame for things under their control though.

Asian culture probably takes it too far but they see the value of shame and wield it well.

I support drug users in their continued efforts to remove themselves from the labor market and eventually the gene pool.

The solution is to increase the amount of fentanyl in the street drugs being sold. Crank that shit up until every junkie is room temperature. Problem fucking solved.

That is happening. Most street junk is now at least partly fentanyl. Expect many more ODs because no poppies are required to make fentanyl, cutting out a major high-profile step in the smuggling process. It is totally synthetic.

"Caveat Emptor" had always been the unspoken rule for street junkies. Now they are aided and abetted by the state, that wants to put them in prison for being addicts while telling them there is no shame in being a junkie.

Talk about mixed messages.

A photo of a smug-looking demon, and not one mention of rehab.

Now there's a tent city in the park here. Why? Dunno, the ag processing plants are begging for workers right about now. Why these places aren't linked to welfare is beyond me. Get these people to work, and on a regular schedule, and never mind looking overseas for people who aren't any more capable than a bunch of white and red opiate addicts.

Oh, you're not the problem. You're a victim!

The problems are the dealers like George Floyd evil white supremacists who force good, honest people into dealing to make ends meet!

I like how they completely omit the inherent dangers of Fentanyl and only mention that there's a high risk of OD. Cause, yeah, I'm sure you can use it "safely" on a regular basis and live well into you 80s...

She's right. We must encourage their continued self-medication. Maybe one day they will get the dosage correct.

Right. Don't be ashamed because you don't tell anyone. It's nobody's business but yours and your supplier's.

Anyone shooting up street junk with strangers (or with friends for that matter) is an idiot adopting a "lifestyle" that is guaranteed to end, if not in death, then in a period of mighty suffering and squalor. This is especially true of the working class.

Affluent junkies have no such worries because their doctors supply them with prescription dope, which obviously does not carry the same risk as street dope. And methadone is just morphine with a longer half-life. The newer opioid substitutes are much worse and withdrawal from them takes much longer because their half-lives are as long or longer than methadone's. At least fentanyl and heroin have short half-lives and a habit can be kicked in a week by a healthy young person, but nobody tests the dosage and purity of street dope.

Some rich people go slumming because they have fallen for the junkie mystique, but that road ends up at the same cemetery. Better to stick with Dr. Feelgood until his scruples get the better of his greed (hey, don't laugh . . . it happens).

Fentanyl Florence.

They either intentionally did that or they're providing shadenfreude gold.
