I can't believe I used to love this guy. I read his book Sapiens and it was great. Turns out he is an evil prick who doesn't think individual humans have inherent value. Instead he treats us all like disposable fungible assets.
I liked the book for its "objective" look at humans. Like if we looked at the history of an alien race. I agree he was disspationate, but I admit I didn't see all this coming from him. I guess because I didn't realize he has Charles Schwabs ear.
The goal is to have the whole population microchipped, then to tie all id verification, financial transaction, etc, to the chip, and then, when anyone steps out of line, just turn off the chip, and poof. That person can no longer work, can no longer access their bank, nothing. They are instantly relegated to sleeping under a bridge and dumpster diving for food.
