Miranda literally replaced Mia as his wife for a while, and is shown to be very committed to the role. If I recall right she even mocks him for not noticing because of how well she did. Stands to reason some physical parts happened.
Ethan wasn't the one cucked, it was Mia. And couldn't have happened to a more hateable character after RE7.
But she was a strong woman type, Ashly is a normal teenager put in an extreme situation. It allows for the incredible evil of flirting with a strong male hero. I think the left is seething just at the idea that the main protagonist has to rescue a girl they were not about to let it go further and allow her to act like a normal girl.
Donghua mean time is predictable as f, but the women are curvy, and the men are in charge, while shit explodes from 'courting death'.
Its mindless, and fun. A hell of a lot better than preaching BS, or tsundere beat 'em up simulator.
I expect them to be the last bastion of gaming as well, thanks to the censors that don't allow alphabet soup. There was the recent 'Sword and Fairy 7' that was pretty decent too.
Modern anime is mass produced and predictable, so if the "current trend" isn't enjoyable to you it'll be garbage for years. We are just leaving the isekai years behind and going into the "slice of life WITH A TWIST" one, both of which leave a lot of bad tastes to some people.
Its less finding a year where things went to woke shit, and finding the generations that appeal to you because other ones likely won't.
On top of all that you have the varying production qualities between seasons regardless of whether a show is a hit.
Two of the more popular anime out there are My Hero Academia and One Punch Man and both have had subsequent seasons that were at times drastically lower in quality than the previous. Naruto/Boruto also have this problem where some fights clearly have a higher budget than the rest of the episode.
MHA follows the fairly common pattern of ending seasons with a big fight and season 1 did this very well by also tying in the full duration of one of the main music tracks to the fight. A fight that was fairly action packed from start to finish, with the added monologuing that often occurs in anime. However a later fight while also tying in a full series track wasn't really much more than two or three punches being thrown with most of the animation being the two combat participants standing around idle and talking to each other.
MHA season 1 ends with All Might vs a Frankenstein's monster and the fight is similar to what OPM does by having an entire music piece play throughout. This was a fight in the comics that took 9 pages I think, can't check atm, but the anime version takes about 4 minutes.
4 minutes is just over how long 'You Say Run' lasts, which is a theme that does get used more than once but not as bad as OPM did with Seigi Shikkou.
And they're all versions fans love because they stand out from each other despite their similarities. Of you were to ask someone who watched MHA what they think of when listening to Might+U the two most common answers will be either regarding Eri or the final fight in the second movie. Likewise asking about Katsuki vs Izuku will either be about the fight the song is named for or the sparring match between 1A and Tintin Mirio. The music stands out that much as as seems to be an unfortunate trend these days, the music of a series/season/movie is often the best part of the show.
Tron Legacy would be an example of this in movies.
As for OPM, season 2 not only has no new music pieces having reused the entire season 1 OST, but the executions are also worse.
The season 1 finale final encounter between Saitama and Boros lasts almost as long as the full version of Seigi Shikkou, leaving out about two bars of the entire 1:47 track.
It's use in season 2 for a similar final confrontation [where Saitama doesn't have an equivalent battle at this point in the arc season 2 is dealing with] is not only horribly cut down but lazily reused.
That's the entire confrontation, BTW. 30 seconds. It's not a trailer or fan made edit. That's how it actually happened when Saitama finally showed up.
Now sure OPM is meant to be a parody of superheroes in the first place but the Saitama vs Boros fight still lasts quite long and there it a lot more to that fight than the clip above, it's just Saitama isn't fighting back until that last bit because he can kill anything with a single punch as per the name of the show. Boros regens so much he can take a few punches but still is completely overpowered once Saitama actually tries.
Meanwhile the Elder Centipede in season 2 is mostly shown fighting Genos or Bang and Bang's brother however none of them actually manage to do enough hence King calling in Saitama.
While this is how the comics go down it's a shit fight to end a season with.
And now I need to go charge my phone because writing this post took forever on mobile trying to sort all the links and then reformat things.
Depends on what you mean by classical masculine. But there are dozens of martial arts and sports series to pick from which are usually manly men doing manly things, with various levels of serious to comedy. DBZ is a classic of that, and currently MHA has a lot of masculine characters as part of its absurdly huge roster. Arguably nearly every Gundam series would qualify and that's 40 years of content alone.
Usually the most manly series don't get an anime, simply because of Japanese sensibilities that don't value the same type of masculinity to fund it, but there are manga literally every to cover everything.
for dramas, i check them on mydramalist for tags, and then usually you can find them on youtube or via google on some streaming site, since copyright isn't being chased into the crapper by the chinese corps.
Really depends on how long you've been into it. There's still some decent stuff but really really rare. This season the only thing new that is decent is Spy x Family. Otherwise I just find it all boring, and the girl beats up boy, or boy desperate for girl/societies acceptance is passe.
Past that, the only anime I really follow is One Piece. Been a fan for 2 decades, and Oda hasn't disappointed. Latest revelations in the manga have ensured that the ride remains fun, and "cartoon" wink hi-jinks will continue.
I’ve watched off and on for a while. I’m an 80s baby so my first exposure was Robotech and Sword art Online. I recently saw Fist of the North Star which I loved. I have been meaning to see One Piece and Attack on Titan as well
Ah then there is a good amount of stuff you can watch that's worthwhile.
Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade, Genocidal Organ, Redline (cringey but the animation and OST are fantastic), Darker than Black, Ninja Scroll, Knights of Sidonia (cringey but animation & OST), Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, Disastrous life of Saiki Kusuo, Drifters, Code Geass, Goblin Slayer, Great Teacher Onizuka, Hellsing Ultimate, One Punch Man, Yamato 2199, Speed Grapher, Yukikaze
i havent kept up with modern anime has it gotten so bad? Japan has an advantage of reputation and are usually more creative and better writers, but if they throw that advantage away , donghua may take over and force them in to competition.
Also interestingly enough Kdramas (korean dramas) apparently has gotten bad recently too from what i heard from people who watch it (like apparently now its women always being breadwinner and men always being dumb in modern Kdramas. )
funnily enough , 2010 actually was around the time i stopped consistently keeping up with anime. Maybe it really was for the reasons you listed and that they stopped having deep and interesting original stories as they used to .
Latest news is that Japan is starting to self censor for westoid "audiences". They are doing it in the games, and won't be long that they do it in other media. I feel a lot of this has to do with them chasing piracy across the west, which in turn puts them square in the 'western sentiments' sphere.
Yeah, I got into Kdrama's late. There are some decent one's, like Taxi Driver, and Devil Judge from last year. Had to literally sift through 15 years of Kdrama's to find just a handful that were watchable, but only the above two do I remember.
The chinese drama's are better in that sense. Production values are insane. Joy of Life is a pretty good one. If you prefer serious Nirvana on Fire is really good. Women are better looking than that hack Lucy Liu that fucked up Elementary.
Notice how it is the rise of feminism that is killing Kdramas. Parallels the trash media situation here. Since the Chinese will re-educate for wanton activism, its relatively safe from woke. No blatant alphabet soup either though they dance around it, much like real life ought to be. Deviancy on the edges, not in the mainstream.
Women are better looking than that hack Lucy Liu that fucked up Elementary.
Keep in mind that actresses in China do way too much plastic surgery and make up so it isnt really their natural look .
And well there was some wokeness in Genshin impact(chinese game) mostly in regards to inazuma basically the country representing Japan and the plot being basically that inazuma doesnt like to change and doesnt accept outsiders easily and this is somehow a "bad" thing .
One of the earliest memory of pre-gamergate gender-swap incident that got me to tune out. I watched season one of Elementary when it premiered because I like Jonny Lee Miller but not only did they gender swap Watson they apparently made Moriarty a female and Sherlock's lover or something. Never made it thru the season.
Also, Lucy Liu looks straight out of the movie Ants.
All celebs are faking it with plastic surgery, fake up etc. After all that, the end product in Hollywood just insults your intelligence with their mastermind azz kick this-is-the-ways.
Too bad about Genshin Impact, but I suppose any game that needs MMO scale is going to try to pander.
Soul land & Swallowed Star are pretty good. Ridunculous fight scenes.
Honestly a lot of them are very formulaic. Underdog is stamped on. Family killed or humiliated. Deus Ex Machina kick starts genius rise. Much cathartic revenge ensues.
I just pick the style that I like, because some of them look quite good, while others... remind me of minecraft.
Yeah, even some of the Japanese devs and publishers are starting to get pervaded by Western wokeness. Fromsoft put a bit of it here, and there in Elden Ring.
Well you need men and women to continue the human species. Flirting is the start. But honestly I suspect some in the entertainment industry despise the idea of men and women in a relationship
RE4 is probably the last game that needs any enhancements. Any it did need it gained during one of its 13221 re-releases. But even the original release holds up perfectly fine in every sense, unless you really hate QTEs.
What is everyone's predictions on how this all ends? Although all great civilizations get pozzed near the end never before in history have so many people, cultures and countries been pozzed at the same time. We might be looking at a civilizational collapse unprecedented in human history, the tower of Babel writ worldwide.
We need ww3 to be honest. Lots of us will die. But i fear if there isnt ww3, most based people (like us) will just sit on their ass and do nothing. Sit on our private property up until we get our heads smashed in and female loved ones enslaved by a growing horde. We will go out in a whimper, not a bang.
So... they saying awkward banter, flirtatious comments and complements dont exist in real life between men and women??
Hell, the type of people that are into video games are filled with awkward comments and actions lol. Its how famous lines comes to existence... like jill sandwich lol.
"Guess there’s no sex discrimination around here" gets censored
Apparently mentioning that a women also getting killed means the killer doesnt discriminate based on gender, is somehow "sexist"
Did this idiot ever look at the skins people made for the RE 2 & 3 remakes? You know what the fans wants you idiot. Give the people what they want. Also, Sheva Tribal is the best skin of the series (fite me) and you know they'll never bring that back either if they ever remake 5.
It also had the main villain and your wife in a setup that is actual cuckoldry as part of the main plot.
It even has a literal cuck shed.
Which villain cucked Ethan?
Miranda literally replaced Mia as his wife for a while, and is shown to be very committed to the role. If I recall right she even mocks him for not noticing because of how well she did. Stands to reason some physical parts happened.
Ethan wasn't the one cucked, it was Mia. And couldn't have happened to a more hateable character after RE7.

I've quit watching 99% of anime.
So modern anime is bad? What’s a good cutoff year?
Modern anime is mass produced and predictable, so if the "current trend" isn't enjoyable to you it'll be garbage for years. We are just leaving the isekai years behind and going into the "slice of life WITH A TWIST" one, both of which leave a lot of bad tastes to some people.

not only that, but can you refer to some sites to inform oneself what to check out /TomSeeSaw.
Thanks. I know with regular programming I tend to not watch anything made after 2014. I foolishly assumed that anime hasn’t been affected
