they spend ~$2600 a year

their favorite categories are cell phone accessories, chargers, and cases

What a fantastically stupid article. What percentage of that ~$2600 is spent on those categories yearly? $100? So the vast majority of their spending is not listed. Because these "researchers" measured the spending habits of an "averaged demographic" by the most commonly ordered items by unit on the store.

This information isn't useful.

Same thing with Netflix and other streaming services. It's all aimed at middle aged white women who want to help.

Crucial distinction. None of these people have done anything for anyone unless someone will know about it.

We don't have soap operas, we have stories about twenty somethings who are terrible at talking about sex and think it's funny while dealing with a super group of ethnic and physical differences, where everyone gets along and their Japanese is terrible.

Decades of fighting for the privilege to be as miserable as men.

More miserable these days, even. Invest in the companies making boxed wine and apple cider!

Read more of our typical shopper profiles: Walmart: A 59-year-old white suburban woman earning $80,000 a year Costco: A 39-year-old Asian American woman earning more than $125,000 a year Target: A millennial suburban mom with a household income of $80,000 Whole Foods: A highly educated West Coast millennial woman earning $80,000----LOL, Asians know how to save money and buy in bulk at Costco maybe? Women do most of the spending, or decisions on spending in households, middle class have the money, women are more likely to be shopping addicts, have money "control issues" and being childless, well, gotta fill the void. Makes sense this would be the demographic.

If you truly want to buy in bulk, restaurant supply stores (eg. Cash and Carry, Smart and Final) are where it's at. A lot less consumer-friendly than Costco has become, and you can get legit bulk quantities of a lot of things (eg. gallon jugs of hot sauce) that you can't at Costco.

It is dangerous to your wallet and your waistline walking through those supply stores, so much bulk goodness you didn't know you wanted until you are walking down the aisle and spot a big ass can of it staring you in the face and think "holy shit thats a lot" and start wondering how fast you can use a 4lb can of Tuna.

Is that the "a1cashandcarry"? Just looking at the website, we appear to have those in Canada. I have bookmarked some restaurant outlets in the past, ones that let non-owners shop, but never been, not sure if it's worth the trip. Maybe if I had a pantry and a freezer to store it and make it all cost effective.

I don't think that's the same store, but the concept looks like it's the same. The one I'm thinking of has gone through a few names (I think its official name nowadays is "Chef'Store")

It's worth going to once I'd say, just to see the way it's different. Certainly if you're throwing a giant party and don't want to spend a lot of prep time on sides and appetizers they have a lot of it prepared frozen

If I made nearly that much I wouldn't shop at Walmart.

actually kind of interesting stats. Is that household incomes or the woman's income exclusively?

I think some are the woman, some household, I only clicked through to the costco one.

Women are the perfect consoomer. This isnt surprising, just the end result of corporate backed feminism.
