Oh for fuck sake. 6 months?!
This is a fucking joke.
Think of the virtue signalling potential! You can brag on your social media not once, not twice but every 6 months that you got your shot! Yayyyy!!1
Also: sick leave after every shot! Hooray!!1
I was starting to think about giving in, as long as I didn't get AstraZeneca. But fuck doing this shit every six months.
Legit, the only vaccine that does not use any mRNA technology is the Chinese one, SinoVac, and that's from China, I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.
None can be trusted, unfortunately.
And there's an article out now where they (the Chinese) admit that this vaccine is utter garbage to begin with.
I've had two Moderna shots. I had a quite sore arm for ~4 days with the first shot, and basically no side effects with the second shot (arm was mildly sore for about a day). I always doubted the vaccine would last forever because, just like the flu, covid is going to be endemic now and will naturally mutate.
But what's the problem with mRNA technology vaccines?
(Also, I'm past my reproductive stage. I would not get my teenage children vaccinated, at least yet.)
This is the first mRNA vaccine to ever be released, so we don't fully know the potential effects of this technology long-term. This alongside the fact that the vaccines were developed at such a rapid pace that we don't know what kind of shortcuts were taken and how many regulations were relaxed for these vaccines. Do not get your children this vaccine. They definitely don't need it since they are so young, and I don't believe there was much testing done for children with the vaccines.
I do agree completely about children. I'm just glad they're finally back to school. My city is crazy regressive about masks and keeping kids at home.
mRNA vaccination hasn't been done outside of dengue fever, where the vaccine actually provides a severe risk against those that haven't been infected with dengue yet. Outside of that, mRNA vaccination remains virtually unmarked territory. It's a telling signs when all animals that have been experimented on with the COVID vaccines have died.
Makes sense given how the 4 serotypes of the Flaviviridae that is the Dengue virus works.
Get infect the first time you get Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever. You may not get symptoms at all or you may get some flu like or worse symptoms.
Get infected again you're fucked and will probably die of Dengue Shock Syndrome.
I honestly feel like I don't know enough to evaluate the claims of the pros or the cons. I will hope for my sake the "pros" outweight the cons.
Well, at least you could see it as less invasive version of a vasectomy, which makes me whinge just thinking about. Not as bad as eye surgery, which you have to be fucking awake for, but still not a pleasant thought.
Hah, vasectomy was a hard no!
I like to keep my options open.
I had my first Moderna the other day and didn’t feel anything other than a mild soreness at the injection site. I don’t personally think the vaccine’s necessary for most people but was backed into a corner all around and made my choice.
I am not getting another shot every 6 months.
You already bent the knee once...
Exactly, getting it now helps enable it being forced later on. Sad there's people on here who are so cucked that they have forgotten how to resist and rebel.
This is why I told you in a thread a little while back that this was the hill to die on.
Now that a lot of people are capitulating, expect them to keep pushing.
It is fucking sad to see that even some people here succumbed to peer pressure and got an experimental vaccine for a disease that has a survival rate of 99.997 percent.
I thought the Russian one didn't use mRNA stuff either? Or is it just less mRNA than the other ones?
Why stop at six months? Mutations are so unpredictable, we could do EVERY month! Think of the internet points people could rake in!
Speaking of mutations, how soon before the super-bacteria kills us all?
I dunno, I'm rooting for the super-rats that are supposedly eating paki kids.
seems like these "vaccines" will start to run out about the time the flu season starts again?
Why on earth would anyone here want to work for fucking Goolag?
It's a bot.
Yeah I know. I just wanted to see if it would reply. One time, I saw one rage reply to someone.
Aloha snackbar!
People who have been in the technology industry for years, know how to think critically and solve nearly every problem in their domain, and work well with others like them are extremely valuable. Google will pay through the nose to get them, so such people motivated by money will take them up.
I have those skills but I'm not as motivated by money. I recently turned down a job offer that would have doubled my salary because it required me to also take on a critical leadership role (which translated to 60 hour weeks and 24/7 on call). No thanks.
I hate it.
And the same Covid-screechers are the same people who insisted having a deadly sexual disease is no big thang.
The fine for knowingly having unprotected sex with someone, while you have AIDS, without telling them so, is the same as the fine for not wearing a mask in public in New York, and probably at least California too, at $1000. They seriously think AIDS and the wuhan virus are equally dangerous.
Makes you think, tbh, cuz T-cells have a lifespan waaay longer than six months for just about every other disease. You got stuff like tetanus that requires a booster shot every ten years, some diseases don't require any at all, MMR vaccine needs to be taken as a baby and then about four to six years later as a young child.
Every six months? Unheard of.
It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$ and the Georgia Guildstones...
Profits go up.
Tetanus needing every 10 years is more or less a myth. Many parts of the world do not require top-ups on it, and do just fine off the one.
It depends on what you're doing.
If you're an office worker with no hands-on hobbies and hands soft like a baby, then, no, you don't need a tetanus shot. Same if you don't have pets that walk in mud and dirt and then scratch you (I mean farm dogs and stuff, not city pups who get bathed at least once in a while.)
If you're a farmer, construction worker, or anyone else who has a high chance of getting a dirty scratch (it isn't just "rusty nails"), you might want that top-up every so often, just to be sure. Lockjaw sucks, I've known people whov'e gotten it.
Then that's even worse for Covid, because every six months is just a huge red flag.
Want an even better one?
There's, any given year, about 4-6 major dominant flu strains. They are global, meaning by definition influenza is a multiple-strain global pandemic. They mutate constantly, like any virus does. We get just one shot per year even if we're diligently getting shots.
"Every six months", bah. What's the mortality rate of re-infected COVID people who recovered naturally? Even the ones who got it a full year ago?
Yeah, and those are relatively optional too, I haven't taken a flu vaccine in ten years without any ill effects.
What, are they trying to train humans to love needles? Like the junkies do?
And don't forget to never stop wearing your triple masks, because the cough pao sicken isn't going away.
What gets me is the assholes who react when you just say you will be happy to see the end of masking; it's like they've been instantly trained to want to wear the fucking things forever. I don't understand why anyone would want this.
Most humans deeply desire fascism and harsh authoritarian rule. They merely disagree as to who is to be in charge of it. It takes an exceptional human to desire the harsh cruelty that is thinking for yourself, having your own motivations, being your own person.
Like the song says, humans would actually make great pets. They're highly trainable, and more tractable than they like to admit.
Lol their bioweapon has an expiration date.
Hahahaha fuckin idiots. But hey you get a free beer from Sam Adams and a Krispy Kreme! Soon they're gonna have colored belts like karate to show how many boosters the NPC's have gotten.
Fuck yeah, by the end of the year they'll be able to give out a coupon satchel for a special vaccine happy meal. We got a sweet, now a beer, just need a couple more items. Maybe some mcdonalds fries or food from a vegan place.
All aboard the burgerpunk circus express!
Side note: the rules for these things are amusing. The donut rules mention that people not getting the shot can get free donuts too, but implies these no-vax donuts will come from a special allotment (sounds like an invitation for sabotage). The beer is a damned sweepstakes, so you might go through all the social media related hoops to find that you get nothing.
Shifting goalposts. Hoping no one will notice. Honestly I wasn't expecting it this way. I was expecting them to go with the once a year and then come back nvsniently quietly forgetting to bother a few years later.
Pushin for every six months, soon to be every three, this is now 100% a medical racket.
Oh BS - they only know 6 MONTHS because they've been tracking people that took the vaccine SIX MONTHS ago and, gasp, discovered they could still produce antibodies.
Before they did this study they thought people would need boosters because the studies of people that had it didn't have COVID antibodies after THREE MONTHS. (But they never tested if the body would produce new ones quickly!)
Never mind the fact that ALL KNOWN IMMUNIZATIONS LAST IN ORDER OF MULTIPLE YEARS. Covid is just magickally different.
It's f-ing clown world by our so called "learned" leaders.
Again, following the model of the 1918 Spanish Flu (so insensitive), it lasted 18 months and died out on its own from herd immunity with NO VACCINES. That's roughly labor day THIS YEAR and, yes, there was a 4th wave in the spring of 1919.
Honestly though you know your govt and the institutions are working against you why the fuck would you take anything from them especially in regards to things as politicized as the virus? and 6 months ? not suspicious at all . nope.
Booster is only needed if the body forgets how to defend against it. This actually takes years-to-decades. Repeated exposure, however, prevents this loss from taking place, as with the Common Cold and Flu season.
This is how they plan to milk this shit for decades.
it doesn't sound like the vaccine works that well if we have to get more shots every so often.
do you realize how fucking retarded you look with the anti-vaccine shit?
like everything related to the vaccine, they start with modest claims and as research on the vaccine is done, they can give a stronger answer to it's effectiveness and duration, and exactly that is happening. meaning: they're claiming six months now because they've had it around that long to test. it could likely be longer.
you would have to be seriously fucking stupid to think the government and these corporations are giving people a useless and dangerous vaccine.
the link from schlomo's (nice) reply is from an alternate "medicine" site so i'm inclined to believe it's probably just as full of shit as naturopathic "medicine" usually is.
this is the stupidest hill to die on, honestly.
You are a retard if after everything we have seen you would actually take an experimental vaccine for a disease that has a survival rate of 99.997 percent.
Still trusting corporations and the government to have your best interests in mind?
Keep licking the boot.
a 15 minute process and no cost is way better than getting it and likely being sick for a week with the potential of permanently fucking up my lungs, or more importantly, spreading it to older family members who would have a real chance of dying from the disease.
it's really that simple
You are a fucking idiot if you think taking an experimental vaccine for a disease that has a 99.997 survival rate is preferable.
...you know that it does, right? like with everything else related to the vaccine, they don't make definitive claims until there's enough research on the topic. still being studied, but all signs point to yes, the vaccine stops or drastically reduces transmission
I think I've found the original quote. Assuming I've got the right one, you're right.
