They were exclusionary of people promoting rape culture ie trying to tell them who they have to have sex with.
sounds problematic.
"We found something horrible and filled with stuff you don't like so we removed it!"
"Oh, that does sound horrible. Can we see proof that those horrible things were there?"
"... no."
When you're so far down the rabbit hole that the Nazis are the reasonable and tolerant ones.
Sounds like Meghan Markle.
It was inevitable. As a meta point, I saw too many comments basically on that subreddit supporting "radical feminism" or "feminism" that is not "liberal feminism".
Sorry, I don't fuck with that. TheImpossible1 doesn't always get it on the money with his examples or commentary, but as a general movement not reliant on anecdotes, it is anti-men and no amount of caveats will change that.
Let the TERFs and "super liberals" eat each other.
Yeah, I was calling that out on their sub. From the moment the SS movement started gaining traction, you had feminists jockeying to put women at the focal point of the whole thing. If SS reemerges on another platform then they need to guard against that.
I had this thought to when thinking about the S+ sub.
Why?
In addition to that it was following the same old patterns normie groups go with regarding expectations towards sex. They had a pinned post about raising money for rape survivors. Female only, ofc. The comments were eating it up, praising how "woke" they were with zero self reflection they were just doing the same exclusionary patterns as the ctrl-left re: men.
Every time the sub brought up anything regarding sex it was again also explicitly for/pro women only except in the cases where zero effort virtue signaling could be made about being S+ men.
Anything with actual effort however... ?
Fastest unsub I've ever made.
Because I am/was probably the most known sane person both here and Reddit for going after TERFs. I had the top comment on a Reddit announcement for a while with my archive of them calling for gender selective abortions.
Then what are the others like?!?!?!
Are you considering emasculating yourself or something, that you whine about hideous troons being 'excluded'?
Mostly Trans "rights" Activists.
No, I just think that their hideous cult needs to be crushed, lest they get to position themselves as a solution to a problem feminism created in the first place by pretending to be sane.
Ah, like that. Trans Rape Activists you mean.
You're an ignoramus throwing a tantrum with no consideration of who you're helping with your love of censorship.
I never said I was on their side. I just think that the risk of TERFs cornering the market on sanity is not worth taking.
Look at what happened with TD, they upvoted GC users in their last days because they were fed up of "trans rights".
I feel like I'm the only person who sees the long game being played. Push something insane, let everyone grow to hate it. Place yourselves as the best solution, making everyone disregard your radical plans.
That at least is a slightly more intelligent reason. But I've never seen it before. It's always you throwing a tantrum because your widdle feewings were hurt because of what they say about men, which is sometimes hateful.
And?
When you view women as the literal devil, you're going to see a "long game" that isn't there.
We need them to eat each other faster, so chuming the waters with these trolls can't hurt. ACCELERATE!
there was plenty to hate there before the TERFs. just look at this shit. the whole place was very pozzed.
I didn't downvote you, but the subreddit had nothing to do with race. I never saw anything about that during my time. Whatever your thoughts are on interracial relationships or media agenda, it's an easy way for a subreddit to be banned. If anyone wants to oppose that, Reddit is 100% the wrong platform. Even as parody, it'll be shutdown super quick -- there's not much twisting you can do on the topic.
The whole biological sex-based semi-parody focus was doomed for failure too, of course, because even if that was allowed, there were a lot of comments while I was browsing on /new/ that explicitly stated that trans men and women are not men and women. That assertion of gender is definitely not allowed on Reddit. It's why the subreddit creators went out of their way to say that trans mxn and womxn are mxn and womxn (or something along those lines).
Maybe they'll successfully contest the ban, but the community was waaay too active for there not to be "hateful comments" (hate as defined by Reddit, of course), and there was visible TERF activity as has been acknowledged in multiple places -- including 1 of TheDonald threads covering the ban -- so I don't expect any permanence since liberal Reddit admins need nebulous excuses to get rid of what they don't like.
Lastly: having this (super straight) sort of content on places like the WIN platform is completely pointless. It HAS to be on Plebbit or other mainstream media, pushing their own rhetoric against them.
Yep - that age-old dilemma. You stay on reddit, you play by their rules. You leave reddit, you lose 95% of your outreach. You're right about that, for sure.
My point is that the people supposedly fighting the left with their own language, were in fact fully embracing identity politics ("I'm a black female superbi"), and not just pretending to for the purpose of ridiculing it. Meanwhile they were having a fit over some nebulous white supremacy scare. I wholeheartedly support gradually waking up the left, but let's not pretend these people don't mostly align with the opinions of a typical redditor.
Ah, I see. Good point. Another user also pointed out:
I don't recall seeing that, maybe I missed it or it was put up after I last browsed it, but tons of red flags all over the place.
Would have been nice if it just stuck to the satire.
That's actually a great way to combat leftist identity politics.
not when the person doing it
if you look like a leftist, walk like a leftist, quack like a leftist and dilate like a leftist, you're not winning.
you can't beat the left at their own game. you don't have nearly enough resources, and most people don't even possess the necessary skillset.
It's not reaching out, it's using their own weapons against them. Like we did with NYS.
remind me how much that accomplished, again? worse, I bet if you do a follow-up check right now, you'll find a large percent of the people who were part of Not Your Shield are now full-on leftists.
The TERF invasion really ruined it. :/
Probably should have offered them a safe haven via the form of a .win community. Indeed, I wouldn't be shocked if one pops up sooner or later.
Regardless, this is a 'movement' I don't want to see fade. It's one of the first major and more importantly effective utilizations of Alinsky's Rules against the Left that neutral-to-right leaning people have readily taken to, and there's never going to be a point where the Left's lunacy will allow them to just ignore it; its mere existence is a constant assault against everything they push for. As such, it will cause massive backlash as they fight tooth and nail to try and fail to neutralize it.
RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.”
I want to see SuperStraight support chapters pop up in towns and cities, SupesrStraight Pride Parades, SuperStraight rallies...
It's a community that made up of 95% of the world's population. Without being a public space where people can admit the emperor has no clothes it doesn't have as much value - you might as well just talk to normal people about other stuff.
What a bunch of superphobes.
Well that didnt take long.... imagine persecuting people for their sexual preferences
who said we were joking....??
Rapists. "Hahaha, nice joke about not wanting to suck the female penis... now suck the female penis."
Here we see a large multinational corporation cooperating with the mainstream majority in order to oppress and suppress a marginalized minority group. Sad.
pretty good humor, but not surprising. I love to see such infuriating tactics being embraced en masse by people who despise those tactics, though. There's hope in that.
They had to edit their “ban” statement. That’s a win to me
Can't wait until after the UK census when denying the validity of SuperStraight becomes a hate crime.
I can't believe that happened. Color me surprised. Yeah, that's why you don't hang out on reddit folks. That and all the porn forced down your throat.
Same. I clicked on a link and then went back and gone.
We all know that the whole "banned for promoting hate" line is utter bullshit. It got banned because the powers that be over at Plebbit didn't like to have their own bullshit thrown back in their face, so the crybabies called in an AHS Tactical CP Strike which gave them enough ammo to shut the shit down. That brings a few questions to mind, though:
Why the hell did the mods of the sub leave it set to open posting with no approval required? I mean, I get it, they want everyone to be able to post, but they had to know they were painting a target on their back. Leaving the place set to Moderated posting can completely nullify the usual AHS tactics.
Where the hell are the posters from AHS keeping this stockpile of CP? I mean, one would think that the general authorities would be interested in seeing the user names and IP addresses of the people that perpetrate this filth over on Plebbit.
Someone should set up a SuperStraight .win site, ASAP, if only to keep the idjits that want to run a smear against it from using it as a weaponized base.
Plebbit probably doesn't report for the CP to the authorities because they're in on it. They just shut down the sub, give out some token bans and call it a day.

I've often wondered if there wasn't some sort of shadow cabal behind that crap. I mean, it's pretty obvious that Reddit as a whole has a vested interest in keeping their strike force protected so it can continue to slap around any subreddit that the powers that be find even mildly opposed to their viewpoints, but that's a pretty deep rabbit hole.
Yeah idk if there's some kind of overarching organization to this or if it's just a manifestation of the ideology over multiple independent groups, but there's definitely organization to it. I like to think I'm quite skeptical but I can help but notice that these things seem to perpetually run together in a common direction.
It was a bit of a wild ride, so I had some trouble grasping the inclination of the founders/mods. Looking back now, with some of the things posted in this thread, I think it may have been pure naivete. My gut assumption was that it got picked up and thrown into popularity by guys from thedonald, it matched their sort of "energy" and interests. I've always thought they were naive as well, so I feel reinforced in my assumption.
It got a lot of attention for a while and now it can be used as a jab until it gets banned as hatespeech everywhere. So we'll at least see it once in a while even if there's no official group for it.
I think we all have some highly valid theories for this, but I'm personally not prepared to discuss mine in a coherent way. No matter your theory, though, it'll come down to a second question of "why are the perpetrators immune to the law".
Even if superstraight is a meme, banning it is still an act of gender exclusion and gender discrimination thus, in their own laws, making it illegal. Of course, even if followed-up, it'll never pass since "rules for thee not for me".
can't have nice things on r*ddit
trannies have no sense of humor
