remind me how much that accomplished, again? worse, I bet if you do a follow-up check right now, you'll find a large percent of the people who were part of Not Your Shield are now full-on leftists.

And the point was not to recruit minorities, but as the name says, to stop the hard-left using us as a shield for its filth.
I am aware of this. again, this goal was not accomplished, in the grand scheme of things. the leftwards slide continued and accelerated, while gamergate as a movement has been smeared and mostly forgotten, and even fractured in half. the left's control over discourse is now even more absolute. in what way is this anything resembling success?
the fundamental problem with the left is that temporary wins don't slow down the momentum of the overton window.

where did I claim anything of the sort? my point was and still is, you can't beat the left at their own game. not in the long run, and nowadays not even in the short run.
bringing up BYS as example of anything more than a curiosity or a short-lived dopamine rush is, with all due respect, foolish.
so we agree. except that I don't think "rolling back their nonsense" is something that the right is remotely capable of doing, barring some major real life event. by all means feel free to suggest a strategy that you think could work.
