If he makes it extremely hard for the cop not to use violence a switch in his head will flip (think aggression overload) and he will see the errors of his ways and let the thug poor innocent man go his merry way. I hope there's lots of calls the police can't respond to, and get in serious shit over it. People are clearly obstructing justice, A CRIME, in front of a police station, in plain view, and the cops give them free shit instead of arresting them.
