It's so incredibly easy to get into manga too. Imagine that you've heard the hype about Demon Slayer, and are curious. Where do you start? Volume 1. Oh, and there's only 23 volumes. It finished three years ago. You actually get a complete story with an ending. There's no constant, mystery-box hook, story that forces you to shamble along, long after the story has gone stale.
Some manga go on forever, like One Piece. But most have some sort of ending, even if they might last for a decade. I think that we've lost appreciation for endings, as culture. It's all "content" designed to go on forever. No wonder manga is eating superhero comics' lunch.
Honestly, DC and Marvel's decline started before they went woke. I love superheroes, but the nonsensical continuity, combined with frequent resets made it hard to really get into comics. I have some heroes, authors, and storylines that I really like. But it was hard to be a reader who kept up with things.
Compare that with manga, where each story is written by one author and is usually only running for a finite story. Manga is also cheaper than comics.
DC and Marvel were already in a decline, but wokeness was the kill shot. The MCU should have saved Marvel comics, but Marvel pissed away a golden opportunity by not featuring the characters who were popular in film in their comics.
I'll feel sorry for the guy, but I suppose, horrible as it is, that it's better that she backed out. If by some miracle he recovers, she's made it abundantly clear that she would not honor the marriage vows had they been married.
What about just giving them away? Someone better let Raz Simone know that that's a no-no now!
His Dogman spinoff of Captain Underpants is really popular with kids right now. I would even say that it's more popular than Captain Underpants was.
To think that he was almost made a Justice on the Supreme Court!
Imp's main issue is that he thinks shitty behavior is solely the domain of women, and that every woman, everywhere is complicit in a conspiracy to destroy men. The fact of the matter is that men and women both have the capacity to be utterly terrible human beings. The way that they do so may differ, but it's not an issue of one sex being responsible for all of society's ills.
In comparison, I may rag on the J00z, but I don't think that all Jews everywhere are responsible for society's ills. I actually think that your average normie Jew is an ordinary person just trying to get by in life, just like other normies. But I am under no illusion that Judaism and Christianity are teaching the same values. They weren't mortal enemies from the start for no reason. It's quite enlightening to read medieval treatises from Christians saying, "You killed Jesus!" while Jewish treatises reply, "Damn right! We'd crucify that sorcerer again if we were given the chance!"
The fact of the matter is that Jews have a different set of fundamental assertions and values than Christians do. There may be some overlap, but it's hardly a coincidence that the rise of Jewish power in Western, Christian society has been detrimental to the values of our society.
This is just personal experience, but sometimes it seems like conservatives from blue states can be more passionate than conservatives from red states. For example, I grew up in a solidly blue state. I actually had to live under the leftist idiocy of my totally blue government. It was bad when I was younger, but its steadily gotten worse. And I grew up in suburbia; the people out in the sticks hate the state government far more than I can imagine. Nonetheless, I have no tolerance for a lot of leftist points that other conservatives might be willing to humor.
Conversely, you have states like Utah. Utah is about as solidly red as they come, and it has a lot of great people. But, the establishment Republican Party has such stranglehold on the state. It's become RINO-central. The Republican Party can get away it, because they have no meaningful competition. I hope that primarying bad politicians becomes more mainstream, but that's how things are right now.
Me: Who is Piper Rockelle? I've never heard of her.
One search later: Oh, here's the YouTube channel. Let's look at the description.
Description: "Shalom guys, I’m Piper Rockelle I’m a girl living my dream in Hollywood"

Actually, statistically speaking, 80+% of the time, you can make trans kids cis.
George Santos claims to be Jewish and gets elected. Josh Lafazan says, "I'm actually Jewish, vote for me!"
Curious how claiming to be part of an ethnic group, that makes up 2% of the U.S. population , is so advantageous for getting elected. Probably coincidence.
I love American Pie. I felt the urge to listen to it on a day last February. I thought about the Day the Music Died, and looked it up. Lo and behold it was February 3rd, and I was listening to American Pie on the anniversary of the Day the Music Died.
Kick ass! That is how you fight! More states should follow suit.
Heh. Says Chris is his friend and that this is transphobia, yet he still calls Chris "he."
I agree. There was a kid with Asperger's in several of my classes in high school. He was obviously in some special ed program, because he had an aide to help him with organization, and he took all of his notes via laptop. He wasn't disruptive at all, and never caused a problem in class.
And the Jewish guy was so obviously guilty that a Georgia jury in 1913 said, "no, the black guy didn't do it."
I know that you'll never understand this, but you are exactly the same as the women who are afraid to go out at night and who see all men as potential rapists and murderers.
I'm sorry for whatever circumstance caused you to feel this way. I suspect that many of these women had experiences that made them turn out the way that they did, too.
There are good and there are bad women in this world. There are good and there are bad men in this world. There are people who don't wish harm towards others, but still cause harm through ignorance. There are those who act out of malice.
Dismissing 50℅ of the population as malicious is foolish, whichever side of the gender divide you're coming from.
There's a reason why "daddy issues" is such a trope. Women who grow up with positive masculine figures in their lives, particularly fathers, have a more positive outlook on men in general. When they see news stories about rapists, murderers, and thieves, they have something to compare them to.
You're totally correct, and its only been exacerbated by the social idea that women should be totally self-sufficient. No man is an island. The best way to protect against big humans is to ally yourself with other big humans. Cultivate positive, mutually-beneficial relationships with men. Start with the ones in your own family. Many women have absolutely no idea how much the men in their lives care about them, and would put themselves in harm's way if something threatened her.
When possible, travel to strange or dangerous areas with one of them. If that's not possible, travel with another woman. Predators look for weak animals on their own; the herd is safer.
Everyone should strive to build some sort of communal bonds with others. I know that we get this prideful idea that we want to solve everything on our own, but you get so much further in life by working with others.
Agreed. It's actually a bit amusing to see atheists appropriate the broad strokes of Christian morality while having no idea how incredibly different the moral landscape of Western Civilization was until Christianity came along.
I could respond to every individual point that she made, but this one sticks out to me.
If you only get rewarded for your loyalty after you die, YOU are part of a death cult.
If only you knew the joy that my faith in God gives me. The Kingdom of Heaven is here, not just when we die. Death cult? Ha! Who is in the death cult if God is life and sin is death?
I don't hate her any more than I hate myself, for I have been her. I pity her. I thought that I could be an atheist and just appreciate the beauty of the natural world, while denying its Creator. But, bit by bit, God called me back and replaced the insufficient faith of my childhood. I don't regret being an atheist for nearly a decade, because I believe that it was part of God's plan to replace my childhood faith with something more refined.
Ultimately, I hope that something happens to shake her out of her materialist stupor. I hope that she hears God's voice and that it hits her heart. God wants her as his daughter, even if she is blind to it.
He probably wasn't trans in the 6th grade. If he's an Autogynephile type, his dysphoria didn't develop until he was well into puberty.
LOL. Great. Start posting on Dr Who forums about how based it is.
