Far more viable than it used to be. Steam's Proton tool makes it possible to play many Windows games with minimal tweaking. It's not perfect, but it's nice to be able to game without a million Windows processes running in the background, eating up your CPU.

The ProtonDB site is a useful tool to see how individual games run on Linux.

Unrelated, but the Tumblr rednose that all these characters have makes them all look like a bunch of alcoholics.

I completely agree. Doubly so if corporation had nothing to do with the creation of an IP. Copyright lasts far, far too long.

It reminds me a bit of when I was a kid/teen in the early 2000s, and there were channels, like Spike TV, that were specifically marketed at men. How the times have changed.

My guess is that it's related to the pop culture zombie obsession being at its height in 2013.

While the Mises Caucus gaining power in the Libertarian Party is definitely a good thing, the Libertarian Party's support for unrestricted free trade and migration (ie a porous southern border), is a hard no for me. Those two issues are at the heart of the "America First" movement.

I have my criticisms of Trump, but he was fundamentally right about trade. Unrestricted trade has crippled American industry and has made us increasingly dependent on countries abroad. The fact that we depend on Taiwan for almost all of our semiconductor chips for our cars and electronics is horrifying. Couple that with the supply chain disruptions from China's COVID policy and the fact the industrial centers of America have become rapidly impoverished over the last several decades. I'm not saying that trade is a fundamentally bad thing, quite the opposite in fact, but we need to look out for our national interests, not the interests of multinational corporations.

Regarding immigration: widespread immigration depresses wages and can radically change the culture of the host country. I understand that the United States was built by immigrants, and as I go back my family line, everyone immigrated here at some point or other. But the United States is no longer half undeveloped wilderness. It made sense to greatly encourage mass immigration in the 19th and even early half of the 20th century. But now, we need to be far more selective. And assimilation is an absolute must. You can keep your food, music, and other superficial parts of your culture, but you need to learn English and embrace American cultural values. The millions of illegal immigrants that we have coming across our border is appalling and must be stopped. There is no hope for assimilation with those numbers. By crossing our border illegally, they are already rejecting our system of laws, as well. The amount of drugs and sexual trafficking that is occurring across the U.S,. border is staggering. We cannot continue to ignore this issue.

Who the fuck is clamoring for a Laura Dern comeback?

But didn't you just love her in The Last Jedi? I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to see more of her in cinema.

But seriously though, she was perfectly adequate in the first Jurassic Park. I can't say that I've seen her in enough other films to judge her as an actress, but she hasn't exactly blown me away. She's there for memberries and nothing else.

Matthew Shepard wasn't even killed for being gay. He was killed by his associates in a meth deal gone wrong.

The Matthew Shepard story is just an earlier example of the government-media complex distorting a horrifying event to serve their own political and social agenda. It's just like what we saw more recently with the incidents that sparked the BLM protests of 2020.

I disagree with you regarding Satan's existence, but otherwise you're absolutely right.

Let's suppose that Satan is merely the personification of that which Western civilization finds morally detestable. It is still alarming that growing numbers of people are rallying around that figure. This is different from an edgy teenager saying "Hail Satan," or a band searching for a gimic. The Satanic Temple is an influential group that is devoted to pushing social and political change against broad traditional Christian values.

Even if members of the Satanic Temple think that they are to just LARPing to "own the Christians," they are still supporting the cause of Satan.

My shave quality has drastically improved since I switched to an old-school safety razor. I don't get razor bumps on my neck any more, and the shave is closer. Being cheaper is a bonus.

Personally, I'm partial to Feather razor blades from Japan, but to each their own. They're more expensive than some other brands, but they're still way cheaper than disposable, plastic razors or cartridges..

It may just be nostalgia, but I remember Pizza Hut being pretty good in the 90s.

I think it's demoralization. They are lording the fact that they can do this to our children, and that we are powerless to stop them.

Considering that Taco Bell is hosting drag shows, I wonder if this is all coming from their parent company Yum! brands. We should keep an eye out to see if KFC does anything similar.

Why not? Language has no meaning anymore. Men can be women, women can be men, and both can be cake.

Changing species taxonomy seems mild by comparison. Besides Bumblebee brand tuna exists, so you're a bigot for even questioning this.

Like thottery doesn't exist in Muslim countries. It's totally not thottery if a prostitute and her John get a 60-minute marriage and divorce.

Islam hates you and your god. Don't think that muh based Muslims who follow a pedophile prophet are going to bring decency to Christendom. That's trying to use Satan to cast out Satan. It won't work.

What is the difference between immigration and invasion? With immigration, foreigners come to your country and conform to your culture and values. With invasion, foreigners come to your country and make you conform to their culture and values.

Muslims have been trying to invade Europe and broader Christendom, with varying degrees of success, since Islam's inception. This is their most recent attempt.

There's a surprisingly large number of troons in coding and other areas of computer science. In fact, it's so common that "programming socks" is now slang for thigh-high socks.

As far as the connection between coders and troons goes, my best guess is autism.
