That the extreme overreaction to Andrew Tate so closely mirrors the overreaction to Jordan Peterson really exposes their detractors for what they are. The messaging from these two men could not be more different: there is really only one common message that they have both been consistent on, and it appears to be the message that upsets the regime the most: they seem to be absolutely horrified and furious that anybody would actually turn to young men and say, "You are not a piece of shit."

Lesson of Reagan #1: Don't put people with obvious Alzheimer's in the White House.

Lesson of Reagan #2: Don't fly off the handle and invade Grenada.

Lesson of Reagan #3: That was the 1980s, and Russia is no longer an expansionist ideological power: that's us.

Lesson of Reagan #4: The Three-Letter Agencies are more of a threat to American freedom and security than any foreign power has ever been.

3% of 67 million people is about 2 million. And those are just the ones who are counted in official population statistics.

Well if it's not really happening then you shouldn't have a problem with us prohibiting it.

Most likely he was just rich and progressive. Hawaii is a playground for the white liberal elite and its economy depends a lot on wealthy tourists and seasonal residents, so they have to send a message that it's safe for them to be there.

I would argue that the state of modern women is a much more pressing concern to most people on this forum than the fantasy that the evil Russians are hellbent on reconquering all of Eastern Europe and rebuilding Peter the Great's empire.

There would be no point to NATO without the US. NATO is the means by which every other country in NATO outsources its national defense to the US in exchange for sovereignty.

There actually used to be an exemption to the drinking age for active servicemen. Not sure if there still is.

Predictable, but I'm still annoyed. Reading that comment section was the most fun I've had in a while.

I've always thought "pathological altruism" was a pretty good summation.

Also this:

"Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.

-Theodore Dalrymple
