DeSantis is making the worst mistake of his career if he lets the zealots in the Florida legislature pass a fucking 6 week abortion ban. I am pro-life but I understand that a 6 week ban is toxic for a national campaign. If the Dems easily win elections, they will push endless abortions. (mobile.twitter.com)

We demand Rand Paul.

Rand Paul will sadly never win a Presidential campaign because he is too libertarian. I really like the guy.

He is also seen as too mild mannered and seen as too milquetoast by the base so he can't win the nomination. The base is too addicted to candidates who "fight".

Really it is because he is too short.

Pro lifers need to be more strategic and stop being shortsighted saying "Saving babies is more important than any election". If the right loses all the elections that matter, the Supreme Court is going to be packed and all abortion restrictions will be shut down nationwide.

It's a bad call as it's too early in the pendulum swing, unless you're in a state where 95% of the population is Catholic (so a good portion of that would be devout), we need another decade to put the pieces in place we can do this organically.

We need to think long term here.

Too many voters sadly value abortions over everything else.

We push too hard too fast then we get electorally wiped. We will lose every civil right not just protecting the unborn.

Going full abortion ban or heart beat bill is not viable if you want to run for President.

I like to word it this way, think of how the left gained institutional control. They did it slowly, rising the temperature over decades to our current state of boiling

We can't simply undo that overnight WITHOUT military force to a dictatorship/militaristic government. We need to do it step by step like we are shutting down a nuclear reactor otherwise they might realise quickly and go EVEN more retarded to counter.

Well said.

The leftist March through the institutions took decades.

We really won't be passing a nationwide abortion ban any time soon maybe not even in the next 25 years.

Decades? Ain't nobody got time for that.

The pro-life base will learn the hard and painful way if they are too impatient.

I don't support anti-abortion, but I'm not going to live under woke tyranny for decades. Imagine having half your life wasted because of this nonsense.

To be fair, I don't think he's suggesting you do, just that you can't push this particular policy all the way at the moment.

I think currently we can get all pedo's found guilty can be hung, less restrictions on guns, cutting off the money hose to leftist interests, stronger border policies and telling teacher unions to go fuck themselves. We just can't push for more restrictions than currently available at the moment.

I generally post articles that are anti-whoever is screwing up on the right.

Today it is the FL legislature and potentially DeSantis who is screwing up.

How's that long term been working out so far

The right overturned Roe through decades of perseverance and by slowly appointing constitutionalist judges.

It took 49 years to overturn Roe?

Do you want to lose the Supreme Court for a generation and have the Dems codify endless abortions nationwide?

That is what we will get if our politicians running for the Presidency are stupid enough to pass a 6 week heartbeat bill.

6 weeks abortion bans are heavily unpopular nationwide.

I am pro-life but I realize that we cannot achieve anything if we lose all of our future elections by pushing too hard too fast on abortion restrictions.

I criticize whoever makes a mistake.

Some of you Trumpers have falsely accused me of never criticizing DeSantis, I am the first one here criticizing him potentially making a disastrous mistake.

DeSantis is nothing if not savvy. He will probably publicly support the law while working behind the scenes to kill it. That said, if he chooses wrong, he could let it go through the legislature in order to have a silver bullet against Trump.

This is as boneheaded as Trump attacking him. They don't want to win.

Signing the one criminalizing criticism of Jews would permanently cement his position as a fucking Israel shill

It's got nothing to do with Israel. It'll cement his position as someone who violates civil rights. He's vetoed laws for lesser constitutional violations.

Jim Jordan is an incompetent hack, and most of the House Republican delegation are fucking quisling traitors.

This childish whining is so tiresome.

DeSantis has already come out against the blogger bill. He will likely come out against the criminalizing bill.

If Conservative voters won't even bother voting in 2024 then it is already over.

Why would you stay home and let the Democrats easily fuck you with no lube?

Voting is so effortless. Doesn't matter if you think it is rigged, all conservatives must do it anyway.

I wish it were rigged in Europe. Here, 'elections' are so inconsequential that they don't even bother to rig them. They'll get what they want regardless of who wins.
