Dr Orr should have known better than to make a joke based on fact in current year, especially when the brown people he callously targeted have consistently proven his statement correct through their own behavior even before this event.

The Cult of the Current Thing has only one rule: Support current thing or else.

As soon members violate that one rule, they are fair game for punishment, even more so than nonmembers as it re-enforces the "or else" part of the rule, and because members have seen first hand how gleefully the cult deals out punisment, it keeps the faithful in line.

I agree that could ruthless force is the best way forward when dealing with barbarians. The orginal article has a call to arms for the"remains of the civilized world", which I cut as it was pointed directly at the US and other first world nations to sacrifice their manpower and material for the cause, with the not so subtle implication that, to misquote a certain old man, "if you don't help Israel, you ain't civilized." Bluntly put, fuck the original author. The sovereign nations are allowed to sit on their hands if they want. That said, glassing most if not all of the Middle East seems like a very easy, very final way to end this centuries old conflict and prevent any new ones from arising, but I use this moniker for a reason, so have probably missed something.

Your interpretation of barbarism as a force of nature is interesting. In the full article, the author has the following line:

...contain and push back the barbarians—who, let us remember, will never entirely go away, and who will always haunt our nightmares.

I removed it as I felt it was overly emotional and excessive, especially the nightmares part, but brutality is a part of human nature, and barbarism is brutal.

By historical event, do you mean the Kitos War (115-117) or the Bar Kokhba revolt (132-136). Both were during the time of Hadrian, and one led to another, though the ban on Jews in Jerusalem was part of the second.

This is speculation.

Gay man is gay. If he is gay, then that is fine because he is gay.

Young black man is "not" gay. He wants and may have sex with women but he is in a drug fueled, blackmail backed relationship with the gay man, and that gay man is willing to go the distance to keep that sweet, sweet bussy which he has spent literal years cultivating.

So less of a flex, and more of a "how very fucking dare you!? I OWN you and will expose you in a culture that does not tolerate men being gay" sort of deal.

I was under the impression that black women needed no further incentive to get an abortion regardless?

Also, requesting slow annihilation by killing off one of the few demographics that actually wants to date you is a weird way to go about it, but "yaaasss kween slaaaay" I guess.

The rules state a person is emotionally and romantically committed to their partner but is allowed to explore sexually with others, based on a pre-arranged agreement.

"Treat the third person as a human sex toy." Excellent advice, and probably empowering for those who are the third party! Nothing like letting yourself be used for the pleasure of two other people in an intimate setting to make you feel better!

In a statement issued after she was sworn in, the chief constable said: "Having considered Sir Iain's reasons, I agree Police Scotland is institutionally discriminatory."

Wew, lass. Excellent way to endear yourself to your new employees.

Formerly chief constable at Durham Constabulary, Ms Farrell said her focus was on threat, harm and risk and on prevention and problem solving.

That sounds like an actively inactive plan when it comes to enforcement.

But arriving from Durham - one of the smallest police forces in England to take charge of the second largest in the UK - the new chief faces immediate challenges.

The biggest challenge she faces might be herself.

A bit of harvesting from an old post of mine, as well as some new suggestions.

An isometric RPG set in a steampunk/magic setting, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura is old (2001) but good, and on Steam for cheap ($5.99). Difficult with robust game mechanics and the story was interesting from what I played. I also vaguely remember needing third party mods and patches as the base game had some pretty severe bugs that were never fixed.

Kenshi ($29.99 on Steam) describes itself as a "free-roaming squad based RPG, focusing on open-ended sandbox gameplay features rather than a linear story." I hear that it is difficult and grindy, but have not played it myself...

If you find the idea of a "cozy farming sim" interesting, I would suggest Stardew Valley ($14.99). The process of taking your grandfather's ramshackle farm and turning it into something more with a bit of story, exploration, fishing and light combat thrown in is pretty fun, and you can go at your own pace.

Against the Storm ($19.49) is a roguelite colony builder/management sim. The storm cycle annihilates everything outside of one city, so your job as viceroy is to build and manage a series of resource gathering colonies before the storm destroys everything again while keeping your colonists and the queen happy, then improving various aspects and bonuses to make future colonies stronger.

Ever play a shooter and think, "I wish this gun could have more gun." Mothergunship ($24.99) is the end result of such thinking. Use the customization system to put rocket launchers on your shotgun with some machine gun for flavor, then test fire it and decide that swapping the shotgun for a rail shotgun is the best way forward.

Is the joke that the black scientist is the one handling the monkeys while the white scientist sits back and observes?

If only! The true horror is that he secretly believed that trans women are not real women. Not even death can wash away a sin so grievous.

"Commander is not presently on the White House campus while next steps are evaluated," Alexander added, refusing to disclose where the dog had been sent on Wednesday.

I would wager a farm upstate, where he can chase all the interns and snap at all the security detail he wants. Truly, he is in a better place now.

If you were not convinced that trans women are some of the most vain, vapid and vile humans on the face of the planet, I could not manufacture any better proof.

Carson became celebrated for his advocacy for more drug injection sites. He identified himself as a member of Antifa on his social media.

This is awkward. He was much more deserving of my moniker than I am, but I do not feel compelled to try and match his achievements.

...brutally stabbed to death in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

I read that as "Clown Heights, Brooklyn" and thought it was a little on the nose.

He was also a published poet, who had once written a poem called “Anxiety” about fears over his own death.

Being forcibly "diversified" at 4am while waiting at the Lafayette Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard bus stop was probably not the subject of the poem, but who knows?

...long time campaign organizer Ryan Thoresen Carson died tragically after a random street encounter near his home.

Murder is not a random street encounter, but in NYC it is.

In the past 24 hours, a series of violent crimes have targeted Democrats.

Bit of a reach there GP. Are you sure these crimes were not "random street encounters"?

What are you talking about? Laphonza is a traditional AAVE name, just Lawasha, Ladryah or Darquon.
