“Ich Bin Ein Berliner!”

One commenter wrote: “The white culture of thinking you can identify as a person of germanic heritage simply because you like something about that culture. It is not appreciation. It is exactly the theft and erasure that live at the origin of genocide, enslavement, and colonialism.”

Disney continuing to push the globalist propaganda.

I was thinking with Hank Azaria and the rest of the cast saying that they wouldn't do voices of people that weren't THEIR race - ergo - no more Apu stories.

Lil Gideon was a thinly veiled stereotype of Rush Limbaugh. The two main cops were gay. In general the 'villains' were always some form of Americana, white men or rich people.

In that sense, though, it was about as 'woke' as the Simpsons before 2020 when they were forced to go 'woke'.

Ackchually you need to go back much further - It really started its decline in the 60s as the animators all unionized and drove up the costs of animation in the US leading to fewer animators to cut costs and simplified drawing techniques/styles to compensate, especially for TV animation. Disney kept it afloat with movies but even those saw a decline in quality (EG compare Cinderella to Jungle Book to Robin Hood.) until the resurgence with The Little Mermaid. During the late 70s and 80s animation studios got around the labor costs by outsourcing the animation to the asian markets which is why you see a 'boost' in quality around this time but these costs also increased and, in the 90s, animation shifted back to domestic production which is how you end up with the CalArts stuff.

It’s not happening domestically (US) - most of the viewers are international.

Still - 14 days for 1B isn’t that great for what should’ve been a runaway blockbuster.

I've seen plenty of misinformation about how transgender surgery is 'grate and affirming' on Twitter.

Perhaps Elton is talking about that.

The refusal of the authorities to not only NOT investigate but block even basic scientific curiosity in the matter is both infuriating and alarming. (And also a pattern we should be alerted to!)

No - that’s superstitious thinking. Go to any casino and you’ll see people tapping the screen on a lot machines in particular pattern or waving at the screen or even cashing out and putting money right back into the machine to “reset it”. Why? Because of pattern recognition. People realized doing certain things get an expected reaction and adopt and repeat them to get the desired results. Pavlovian that way.

Pattern recognition is a good thing but it’s the start to actual development of a scientific theory.

Vaxed and healthy 11 year olds dropping dead from strokes and heart attacks? Yeah that way outside the norm. Unhealthy infant getting a blood transfusion as part of other medical circulatory issues getting a blood clot? Not so much out the norm. Maybe it WAS mud blood and certainly there should be research into that - but if the infant had gotten non-vaxed blood and still got the clot do you think we’d even have heard of it?

All I’m saying is don’t get into the mentality of “if witches burn and wood burns and wood floats on water then if a woman floats on water… she’s a witch!”

Any transfusion has a risk of causing clotting - low - but it can happen.

I’m not denying the covax causes clotting but sometimes stuff happens!

I'm not 'calling' it oppressive.

it IS oppressive, factually, historically, every time it's been implemented.

"But there were other mass murderers that got away with it! Stalin killed many millions, died in his bed, well done there; Pol Pot killed 1.7 million Cambodians, died under house arrest at age 72, well done indeed! And the reason we let them get away with it is because they killed their own people, and we're sort of fine with that. 'Ah, help yourself,' you know? 'We've been trying to kill you for ages!' So kill your own people, right on there. Seems to be… Hitler killed people next door... 'Oh… stupid man!' After a couple of years, we won't stand for that, will we?"

And, you're also stupidly wrong - Fascism and communism are not "state capitalism".

That's just a piss poor understanding of capitalism as you're obviously confusing it with "economy" and they're not the same thing.

Imagine thinking that poorly thought out, never successful systems when implemented and that are purely reactionary to perceived faults in a system make them “better”.

Really, your logic is just piss poor and you’re also emotionally fragile.

I think capitalism is great.

You’re the one that seems to think your communist and fascist children look ugly (and rightfully so - they are hideously oppressive systems with little chance to correct once instituted.) Might want to take a page from Michael Jackson and take a look at the man in the mirror

No - capitalism is not toxic.

Communism and socialist systems are, by definition.

You’d have to say the same for cyberpunk 2077 too but I believe that had woke elements?

On the household side the unadjusted number was -395,000, and more to the point 650,000 people left the labor force - that is, they gave up for whatever reason.

The "employment by educational attainment" figures were interesting as well -- they showed that degree holders got hammered. One has to wonder if the Twitter firings were in there, but that wasn't that large and there was a drop of 348,000 in that category and, more-ominously, 316,000 people disappeared out of that bucket entirely.

Since you can't "lose" educational status once you get into that top bucket, that of a Bachelor's or better, the only way out of that bucket is to die.

A lot of this is a direct response to the industrialization era. Once you got away from an agrarian economy (where you could be independent and grow your own food on your own farms and where land ownership was king), Everything became a factor of centralization and that begats control by various resources - either economic or labor, etc;

Marxist wasn't a communist because he cared about the people - Marxist wanted control of the means of production "to benefit mankind". What's the mean? Whomever is in charge that wants it to mean. That's why Hitler's socialist economic successes were lauded by the communists worldwide as the new model of human progress - until Hitler told them to suck an egg and they've spent every day since demonizing him for wrongthink.

That's why the whole communist/socialist system is evil and biogted. it always results in one, or a small cadre of people, enforcing their ideolog onto others - and almost always resulting millions of deaths for the greater good.
