You say that, and yet Fate/Stay Night propelled TypeMoon into being a top name in Japan. It's full of gender-swap bullshit that everyone knows is bullshit, and yet they enjoy it nonetheless. It's fun. No one uses it as a means to seriously talk tranny shit in as the real legend unless they're sick in the head.
Let fun be fun. Something they don't understand in the slightest.
I honestly don't fucking care what you do in fanfiction as long as you acknowledge it as such and not throw a fit when people avoid it like the plague. You try to run serious discussions with this shit, you better be damn prepared to get laughed out of the room.
Overpowered Instant Death Ability really sucks. The anime is all over the damn place and is hard to follow, and gets so ridiculous even discounting MC points his finger and says "shi-ne" and they drop dead.
Chained Soldier, AKA, Slave of the Mato Defense Corps has been alright. I've been curious about the Hybrid side of the story, which is what should be in focus right now. And I'm sure there's going to be at least one girl someone will enjoy.
I actually took a look at that. He wasn't struggling with it, he looked like he was knocked out for a few seconds after impact, it seemed. People say "he would have tossed that fridge away easily!" but... he actually did once he was back to his senses. Goddammit, am I defending that piece of shit now?
desperate to prove they're not racist misogynist bigots
The fuck are you talking about? Every one of them routinely mocks the shit out of anyone that says that sort of bullcrap.
You don't like Rippaverse and all the others? That's fine. I think that trailer is crap myself. You don't have to make shit up to justify your hatred and then slander them.
Spider-Man 2
This is a Steam group, Kabrutus is a Steam user. Spider-Man 2 is not on Steam. No shit, he probably hasn't played it. We all still know about the Miles Morales faggotry, and the absolute disrespect to Peter Parker's character.
I don't think people were expecting much, considering it's just a short live-action trailer advertising a new comic book. But even those expectations were too high for what they got. Hopefully the readers at least enjoy the comic.
When it comes to redactions, the percentage is what should be horrifying, rather than the quantity of words and pages. If 100% of a report has been redacted, why should anyone trust what those particular people say at all?
The Japanese might lament how the old empire treated its subjects as completely disposable. But that's about all I can think of.
Or maybe I'm just getting this feeling after having watched Godzilla Minus One. Who knows.
I certainly liked it enough, though I'll also admit when I saw it in full with my dad, it was a time after I'd played Nioh, which if you haven't realized, is a fictionalized account of the real figures of the time (maybe not the ninjas), where Shogun is a more realistic account of the time with fictional characters.
Sensationalized news hates it because there's no black people. I've only seen a trailer and was worried it'd go girlboss with it. The opinions I've been hearing from critics is that it's really good in the first three episodes they'd seen thus far.
I've been slightly interested simply because Hiroyuki Sanada is playing not-Tokugawa.
Parodies like that are nothing new, and Wicked (stage musical) has been around for a while. You're not supposed to take it seriously. Hell, the magic shoes "allowed her paraplegic sister to walk again," and the jock at the center of a love triangle between Galinda and Elphaba is the guy that becomes The Scarecrow. Also, her death by water was faked.
That said, I'm not saying give this the benefit of a doubt. It's modern Hollywood, fuck them.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but wasn't Idina Menzel well-known for the Broadway production of Wicked as Elphaba before Frozen was even a thing?
Tell that to Van Gogh.
