I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea of an "anti-villain." I'm familiar with "anti-hero" but never the villain variant. So like.. an anti-hero does good things with generally selfish intent, so an anti-villain would be.. uh.. he does bad things, but with the best intentions? That just sounds like a buffoon, but with a nicer spin on it. A Mr. Bean if you will.
Was the concept of the "shadow realm" a form of censorship, or was that always a thing in the unrestricted versions? I always assumed it was just another way for them to say they fucking killed a guy playing a children's card game, but now I'm starting to wonder.
Sort of off topic, but the One Piece censorship where quite honestly hilarious. Like, they weren't lazy about it. God, listen to the modified dialogue they did to Crocodile. Some of his taunts are borderline toddleresque. It's magnificent. Pretty sure he coined the phrase "desert doo-doo" at one point.
I know, right? The motherfucker already had a 4 year trial run an nothing happened. The old mantra that the internet never forgot, but it's become quite clear to me that is not the case for like 95% of the mouth breathers using it.
Honestly, the game was surprisingly pretty good. It has this weird feeling about it, like the regular Ubisoft overreachers had zero input in its development. It's a shame they had such little confidence in it, because it had little to no real advertising, which really hurt its selling potential. You can play a demo of it on the Switch if you don't believe me. Though, I would have preferred it if it had its own identity rather than parasitised the PoP franchise. That did it no favors.
I've never really had that fire people have for fighting each other in games, but I liked the DBZ games. I just... I can't play through the sagas again.... I just can't. I feel like I've had to study the Dragon Ball Z lore more than the most dedicated bible thumper. I have a Freeza shaped tumor somewhere in my brain at this point.
"Trans Clone Trooper"
So you're saying they were not only born in the wrong gender, but the motherfucker got cloned, so that they can be tormented to live in their own skin forever. That's. Fucking. Hilarious. And not just that, but given the insane tech they have in that universe, they can't be bothered to fucking fix it for them during the cloning process! Amazing.
Sorry, what? I couldn't hear you over your tig ol bitties.
