Well, you can sue anyone for anything, regardless of how ridiculous. But, as a kind of an analogy to this take OJ Simpson. Of course, we all know he did it, but he was found not guilty in criminal court, but he lost big in civil court.

In my state we have a law that says if your self defense claim is upheld in criminal court then you can’t be held civilly liable. It’s too bad Mr. Rittenhouse isn’t afforded that same protection.

As a professional aviator who is staring down the barrel of being replaced by unmanned systems I find it absolutely hilarious that artists are so upset that the same is happening to them.

To add to this, the images on the left were likely all hand drawn, where as the images on the right were likely all done on a computer. The reason this is important is that the characters on the left had to be drawn by hand hundreds or thousands (I honestly don’t know much about animation) of times, where as on the right they had a computer to help with the animation process. My point being is that not only are the ‘80’s and ‘90’s characters more realistic, but they had to be hand drawn that way to a high level of precision over and over and over. They are not the same.

Then we’d be having a conversation about forced plastic surgery for facial scar removal.

So I was headed home from work on Sunday and I was listening to the ‘90’s grunge and alternative station when that song came on. My first thought was, of course, “In what world is this bitch grunge or alternative?” After that all I could think of was Inigo Montoya, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

Was that the Pickle Rick episode? The Pickle Rick episode was fucken terrible, and that was the episode that killed it for me, I stopped watching after that. The whole episode was about tearing down Rick and Jerry. The therapist with Rick, and the kids making Jerry out to be a sexist. I get that Jerry isn’t supposed to be likable, but at no point was he ever a sexist. It was evident to me at that point that the shitty female writers had taken over.

Spain has been lousy with commies and fascists for ages.

The wreck is believed to be the initial attempt on his life. Given the state of things it wouldn’t have been hard to do. As I recall it was a Sunday morning, and no one was allowed out on the roads without a really good reason. I can’t remember the theory on how the assassins might have known his route, but the kid who was driving the other truck just up and disappeared like a fart in the wind. They think after the wreck he may have been shot with a high velocity air gun because he was the only one with any injuries. And I know that sounds kind of crazy, an air gun, but there have been some crazy powerful air guns for a long time.

Obviously he didn’t die there. He was on the road to recovery in the hospital. To what extent he would have recovered is hard to say, but he was doing very well, and then he just died. Likely poisoned, the soviets were the masters of that. And his wife would not allow an autopsy. Many think she was threatened over the autopsy, we’ll never know.

Patton was, without question, assassinated, and it was a collaborative effort between the OSS and the NKVD. The soviets wanted him dead because he was the only man that Stalin feared. Patton could easily have brought the USSR to its knees and ended the Cold War before it started.

FDR and subsequently Truman wanted him dead because he was a clear and present political threat. Additionally, Eisenhower (who was a complete piece of garbage and caused the war to go on for a year longer than it should have because politics), was out to get Patton as well because Patton was a political roadblock to him.

On top of all of that, FDR was absolutely in love with Stalin and the executive branch was absolutely lousy with NKVD spies. So Patton was enemy number one. If you want to know more start with O’Reilly’s “Killing Patton,” then follow it up with Wilcox’s “Target: Patton.”

Smearing Patton as a racist and anti-Semite has been a favorite pastime of the communist media and government since Germany’s surrender. It is true that Patton was an asshole, and it is also true that he had some unkind things to say about certain European Jews based on his direct experience with some of their behavior. But he did not hate Jews at large, was sickened by their treatment by the Nazis, and welcomed them into his military formation. Neither did he hate black people. He welcomed them in his fighting formations, and his very best friend and valet was a black man who had nothing but the best memories of history’s finest general.

Part of the reason he got smeared as such was because he was rabidly anti-communist. He wanted to stand the German army back up and march on the USSR. The commies in American media hated him for this. Additionally, the plan to rule the conquered Germans at the time was called the Morganthau Plan, named after its developer the American secretary of the treasury. The Morganthau Plan called for the absolute subjugation of the Germans, to throw German citizens out of their homes to house displaced Jews. Patton, as military governor of Bavaria, refused to carry this out. It flew in the face of due process and Patton wouldn’t have it. Patton had learned from his grievous mistakes against the Bonus Army and refused to repeat them. Additionally, Patton would not throw known Nazis out of critical jobs when there was no one else competent to do them. So for these reasons he has been repeatedly smeared as a racist.

Had Patton not been murdered the world’s landscape today could potentially look very different. The Cold War might never have happened and perhaps he’d have handled the the enemies of the Constitution that have invaded the government. Patton and MacArthur were the last warrior generals. They’ve all been politicians since.

I look at stuff where politics hasn’t seemed to seep in. r/cats, and r/dachshund are a couple of examples. Certain other special interest subs like aviation and horology type subs too. That’s it.

Scarlett Johansson complains about how her character in Iron Man 2 was treated like just, “a piece of ass.” She complained about the remarks Tony made about Natasha, etc...

But wasn’t that the point? Natasha was a spy, and at the time SHIELD had planted her inside of Stark Industries to watch Tony. Tony’s a known womanizer, and she’s sexy as hell, so of course she was there to be a sex object. Otherwise she wouldn’t have been a very good spy.

This interests me...the writers demand editorial autonomy and demand that IGN keep their business interests and editorial board separate...

I mean, you can’t keep them separate, can you? If your editorial staff is putting out stuff that’s causing you to lose customers, then eventually you’ll no longer be able to pay your writers and editors. I mean, do they think they’ll just keep getting paid when there is no more cash flow?

Above and beyond that, in what world do the employees rather than the bosses decide what kind of product your going to produce? Journalism is just asinine.

FDR was certainly enamored with Stalin, or, “Uncle Joe,” as he called him. At best FDR and his goons like Bill Donovan were far to chummy with the communists. At worst (and more likely) they were in bed with them. Our federal government was lousy with soviet spies during WWII, all the way into the cabinet, and Donovan was responsible for it. FDR and Donovan made sure the OSS gave the NKVD everything they wanted.

And I firmly believe that the remenents of the FDR administration are responsible for Patton’s death. I believe they had him assassinated at the behest of the Soviet Union because he posed a huge existential threat to the USSR and was alleged to be the only man that Stalin was afraid of. FDR, Donovan, Eisenhower, all those big names did more harm than good to the US and it’s interests during WWII.
