I am from Portugal, the Spanish little brother in Iberia, and after this year's election, 10% of our parliament is filled with guys that support Communism. Hard-core communism, like today's North Korea.
I'm curious, being from Portugal as well, if you've noticed much in the way of communist or feminist crap going on since around where I live, outskirts of Leiria, things don't seem to have gone crazy.....or maybe I've just been lucky to avoid them.
I live in Lisbon and I have noticed a lot of Wokism starting to pop up. Not communism, but some Woke feminism yes. And in the companies too. And the Brazilian immigration is bringing this, specially the Queer movement.

Germany has Die Linke which is about as close to communist as you can get without actually calling yourself communist. Large parts of the Greens and Socialists are more or less the same, too. We also have the MLPD which openly communist. The latter even erected statues of Lenin and Marx.
The overlap is nationalism and anti communism. That's what the elites hate. The overlap is the fact that the Nazis threw out all the communists and liberals from Germany. Of course most "far right" parties in Germany are not even close to that. the AFD has a banker lesbian in a relationship with a foreigner as a leader for God's sake.
