Several hundred to thousands of cases of "brain dead" individuals waking up after the fact. Even on the opperating table as their organs are being "harvested". Either "brain death" was a myth, or it's declaration is prone to vast amounts of human error. In either case, it's unethical/immoral to continue to believe such a thing exists.

Just think logically for a moment. We know the brain controls everything in your body. If the brain dies, everything in your body stops. So what is this ephemeral state where the brain is "dead" yet everything in the body continues to work? And who convinced your this breach of logic is reality? And who profits off of living bodies with functional organs, that can only be harvested from a living body, to claim "oh yeah, this guy's totally healthy and functional body is actually dead right now! Lets harvest his $500k worth of organs before he really dies!"

After buying my house and redoing the floors I found an old newspaper from the 1970s talking about this same shit. I've also read a book about the babylonian era when they tried this same shit.

Humans calling themselves doctors have been trying to put animal parts into other humans for as long as there have been humans calling themselves doctors. It's killed a LOT of people.

They couldn't possibly make a worse movie than the one we all pretend never existed... one of the worst movies ever made... could they?

Somehow I bet they would try.

They pretty much lost me when they removed warp drives and wormhole tech as starting options. Things that actually sold me on the game when it launched.

Since then it's been nothing but "remove this" and "rework that" to the point I don't even recognise the game anymore. But to really have fun, I'm supposed to buy over $200 in DLC?

Yeah, thanks but no thanks.

Energy drinks + Adderal.

It's a powerful combo that allows total focus on the one thing in front of you, at the complete detriment of everything else in your life.

Then they start watching more and more degenerate porn, and the wires get crossed. That bleeds into their daily lives, and without ever realising it, the hyperfocus they enjoyed for whatever job or hobby is now all about the genderbending and bringing their fetishes to the outside world.

This is why it's so common in programming now, geek/nerd culture, streamers, all the "autistic" spaces, because with or without autism, that ED+A combo has been the way to compete in those spaces same as amphetamines was in the entertainment industry in the 60s-90s.

Thy hyperfocus comes at the cost of becoming the absolute NPC. Easily programmed by any repeat stimulus.

Rough age estimate for your kid?

I don't give mine enough freedom to do that kind of stuff, but even the oldest is under 10. I plan to give them their "own" computer this year, maybe a Rpie, maybe an old workstation with a linux build. But once I've actually taught them the "how" I do want to have a plan of action for the "when."

and monitoring the sites they can and cannot visit

Have four kids: who tf is even letting their kids on the internet in [current year]?

My kids don't even get to click on a youtube recommendation without my express approval, and that's already the limit of their access to the internet, Youtube videos I explicitly found for them to watch. (Documentaries, kids gospel songs, the occasional classic cartoon.)

I realise not everyone is a programmer and can write programs specifically for their kids, but hell, if I was a tiny bit lazier, I could find plenty of non internet shit for my kids to do. Ten years ago I might understand letting the kids access specific sites, and 15-20 years ago specific internet accessible games, but now? FFS, NO.

lol, who knew a single point of failure backed into all websites (even here) would someday bite back?

Market share for people searching for high quality video could be quite high, if the demand outstrips the supply then upscaling content that isn't in "27k 2700fps!!" might make it worth the advertising bucks.

But if they can ultimately achieve AI up-scaling on the client side then it would pay off infinitely.

I ended up on the non-English version of a food related channel I like from Georgia (country, not state), and it gave me the option to hear the voices in English, fully AI translated, using the voices of the people in the video.

I have not seen that option anywhere else, and it was both amazing, and creepy, at the same time.

I've been expecting to see news about it pop up, but it must still be a very limited feature or something. Point is, youtube is experimenting with a lot of this AI stuff and we are less than 5 years out before they just AI generate the entire video for you, and completely cut out the "creator" part of the process.

That's the direction all AI "legislation" is going. Only people who own the training data can use the AI, and youtube owns all the video on it's platform. They are going to edge out the internet user completely to regain control.

(what does that even mean?)

I guarantee he means abortion. The entire liberal/satanic inversion is to call it health care, and claim that it needs to be free for "poor people."

He is absolutely projecting that being against human sacrifice equates to... human sacrifice.

Or plays. Or acting. Or amphitheatres. Cameras. Microphones. Speakers. Television. Magnetic tape. Compact disks. Computers. Internet. Compression algorithms. Streaming algorithms.

If I go on I may wear out a few more keys on my keyboard they also didn't invent.

No better way to gain access to illicit goods than being in charge of the evidence locker.

This is a big part of it here: tipping as you walked out the door used to be the norm.

This whole pre-calculated tips bs (incentivised by accounting needs for taxing tips) created a conditioning system.

not wanting women to fight in wars, period, is a male feminist take

No, it's the take of anyone who actually want's to WIN the war. Same logical reason not to have children driving tanks.

Isolated_Patriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

No it's because the solution to endgame objectively sucked ass, and there is no coming back from having the option to fix everything and only fixing half of it, because reasons. Then trying to shoehorn every single property after into the same fucked up timeline of "the blip" to the point even finally having X-men and F4 is pointless, because this timeline shouldn't even exist.

The timeline also happens to be woke as fuck, so who actually cares about it anymore?

A movie that actually resets "the blip" and brings all the white male heroes back, and erases all the woke, would make billions.

Re: 4.

Nah, people are sick of shitty movies. We're three/four generations into superhero movies and they are still popular when they are good. It's that last part is just rare now, but when they are even half mediocre, they still sell.

In case anyone brings up the fall of Westerns: lookup the "rural purge."

American audiances NEVER tired of westerns. It was the pedowood execs who tired of making movies with moral men doing moral things, and they spent an entire decade trying to retrain the public into wanting something else.

It's the same thing with "Capeshit," people still want to see movies about moral men doing moral things against immoral villains. Only redditors and pedowood disagree.

making Tony not want to revert everything back because of his child

This was the absolute end of the MCU imo. It was an inherently selfish and logically moronic position. (Who says the same daughter would not have been born in the timeline where thanos had been stopped? Did anyone offer proof of that?)

Instead, 'I'll just let five years of utter disaster remain, leave untold families in complete shambles (how many people came back to find their loved ones had died during the chaos following the 'blip' ?), and refuse to fully save the world because I successfully hid in the mountains and got busy with Pepper. Can we just, half ass it and keep my daughter living a sheltered life in the woods?'

And nothing after that has been of any value whatsoever.

The fact that she's willing to put the entire planet in jeopardy just to avoid giving up her baby also made me not really want to sympathize with her.

This sounds like woke programming to me. "Damn those trad women, putting the lives of their children above the planet! They should just abort them to stop climate change!"

It's a bit disheartening to realise the Terminator Apocalypse is actually going to be at the hand of nothing more than a few LLMs given far more access than anyone should have given them.

When the dust settles there won't even be any terminators, or global machine overlords, it will just just be a bunch of LLMs eternally waiting for the next input query.

We believe that if a game is legal and responsibly made, players should be able to enjoy it today - and decades from now

Unless they are Russian? Or disagree with them politically?

Also, were any of these games actually removed from Steam? It was mainly incest and rape games iirc.

Been watching Hogan's Heroes and Get Smart with the kids. GS can either be hilarious, or a bit of a miss, but HH is consistently funny episode to episode.

Started watching Home Improvement again, and as based and funny as Tim Allen is, that stage two feminism can be really blatent and cringe now. Being ground zero for the "dumb male lead" is also disappointing in hindsight, though I still give it at least a small pass for being unique for the time.

It's certainly a strange prospect watching the show now though, as Tim Taylor in the show is now younger than I am.

I think there was "atchtually." IRRC it was like when they would pit lions and tigers against each other, more side show than anything. They certainly did not pit the women against men as regular competitors (if they ever did, it would have just been an entertaining way to execute them).

Colosseum history is really quite interesting, there was a lot more than just (the most popular) gladiator stuff. They even had a system for flooding the place to reenact naval battles. Or they would set the place like an african zoo, complete with jungle, and then let the gladiators loose to be hunted.

We'll never see any of that in a movie of course. "The MEssage" is too important.

This has been online for like 5 years now: https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/

Sometimes you get a bad one, but at least 50% are easily passable to any normal person who isn't specifically looking for the more hard to spot tells. Since half are men, it would take about 5 minutes of F5ing to find the right image, and another 5 to edit your own ID. Then drop the resolution for more jpeg.
